Wanderlust District

I stayed because I was arriving late, the bed was itchy and in bad condition, i complained and they where giving excuses but as I thook pictures of the filth everywhere and evenn dead bugs on the wall they promised refound then blocked me. Unclean, overcharged and rude staff that don't care about their customers.

Honestly the rudest hostel I've ever stayed at. I assume they buy their good reviews. They are extremely strict and never smile, not welcoming and complicated with check in. Dont expext that you could check-in in the Morning and then leave your luggage, and same by check out. Not only I made a bad experience, but also 6 other ppl that stayed here. They will respond to this and blame me for everything, but really it was crazy what they did and said. Also breakfast late, 9:30-10:00, not nice

Wir sind um 10:30 angekommen und haben Anfangs nichtmal den Eingang gefunden. Kein Schild mit dem Namen sonder nur eine Tür mit der Aufschrift "you are not lost". Als wir geklopft haben kam nach 2 Minuten eine Frau, welche nichtmal ein Wort Englisch konnte. Danach hatten wir mit einem Mann Kontakt. Dieser hat uns wortwörtlich angeschnauzt, warum wir denn jetzt schon da sind obwohl man doch erst ab 12:00 einchecken kann. It was the worse hostel i have ever stayed in and i'm a frequent traveler. It's located in front of a big, loud, transited and scary avenue. The entrance is hidden and complicated (no reception, in only throught a link for a qr code to place in front of a camera). Cleanliness was bad, especially in the bathroom (1 bathroom and shower for a full floor with 5 or 6 rooms). The traffic noise in the bedroom at night was bad. I absolutely would not recommend this hostel to anyone. The hostel itself is decent, but the attitude/behaviour of the owners towards guests that have anything negative to say about their experience is just BEYOND unprofessional to a level that I’ve never experienced before and will surely never experience again. There are much better hostels in Mexico City, run by truly kind and hospitable people that deserve your support and would receive any feedback in a professional manner.

Please know I have been travelling South/Central America for 5 months, staying in dozens of hostels. This is not the worst hostel, but the extremely high rating is not accurate. So therefore I have rated this lower to try to bring down to a more realistic number of around 7. Breakfast is nice. But doesn't make up for the heat in the rooms or the bizzare rudeness of the hosts. I don't understand why they are so aggressive and rude to everyone. The host will quote the outside temp in reply.

Man fühlt sich hier überhaupt nicht willkommen , es gibt keine offizielle Rezeption, und ansonsten trifft man auch niemanden an vom Personal - was sich sehr seltsam anfühlt. Wenn man dann mal jemanden antrifft, wie ich es getan habe, dann ist es zudem noch sehr unfreundlich - sodass ich mich hier nicht wohlgefühlt habe. Das einzig positive ist - die dachterrasse, inkl. Frühstück - wo man ggf. andere Leute treffen könnte - ansonsten auch eher nicht solotravel freundlich.

Nice hostel, was really easy to meet the others there. I also saw them kick out another guests who was trying to stay for a few hours after they checked out. They told them to book an extra day, if not, then leave. When my friend and I checked out, we tried to leave our bags in a third friend’s bed who did book the extra day. When the staff saw it, they locked the third friend out and put our stuff in a single locker and charged the both of us for it. But yes i missed the checkin email, sorry!

Great location, walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants. Facilities are ok but the bed was terrible. One is the worst I've ever slept in. I had to book a chiropractor appointment after my stay as my back was so sore.

The breakfast is the only positive to this hostel. The hosts were unkind and unprofessional. Multiple times our activities were not planned correctly by the hosts and we would end up at the wrong location or arrive at the wrong time and miss the event. You are better off coordinating things on your own so you don’t miss out or have to pay the added fee they charge for arranging. Central location, everything is within walking distance. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in a hostel. The bike and market tour are highlights, definitely the best experiences offered. Reliable and fast internet for those remote workers.

Das Frühstück war super. Wird jedoch nur zwischen 9:30 und 10:00 Uhr serviert - falls man früh los muss ist das ungeschickt. Zimmer waren okay, ein bisschen hellhörig. Es gab ein breites Angebot an Aktivitäten, die über WhatsApp kommuniziert wurden.

Great hostel with reliable and fast Wi-Fi, perfect for working and video calls. The breakfast is so tasty, and they offer plenty of fun activities.

I recommend this hostel! Everything is well balanced and the hostel is comfortable and well cared for. The bike tour was excellent, so glad I saw the city this way. And the free breakfast is wonderful.

Mega Hostel! Die Hosts sind super nett und organisieren täglich Aktivitäten für die Gäste. Das Frühstück ist zudem sehr abwechslungsreich und lecker und wird täglich frisch zubereitet.

Great location: walking distance from many great places to eat and drink, shopping places and a block away from the subway station. Excellent breakfast at the hostel BTW, the staff is really friendly and always suggesting activities and places of interest . I just would like to suggest a little more illumination.

Clau was incredible at organizing different things throughout the city each day. The breakfast was phenomenal and a great way to meet other travelers. Location is wonderful being a short walk from Roma Norte, Condesa, and literally one block away from a metro station. Would definitely stay here again.

This hostel was so much fun! Claudia takes great care of the place and does a wonderful job organizing activities which you can opt-in to. The communal areas are really nice and we had a great time meeting people from all around the world. Would definitely stay again!

This hostel offers the best breakfast, no doubt! Perfect way to start your day! Everything is clean and the location is right in the heart of the city , which makes it easy to explore. I also joined the bike tour and it was such a fun and intense experience.

Had a wonderful stay at Wanderlust! Felt save and met great people, not a party hostel but it is very social and lots of options for activities, exactly what I was looking for! The breakfast idea is so nice to get to know people and a good start of the day! Also, don't forget to do the bicking tour, will never forget mine 😂

the rules are a bit strict but if everything else beyond that was great. it had a social vibe with activities and recommendations everyday

I had a nice stay at Wanderlust District: the location between Juarez and Roma Norte was great (also close to Condesa) and the breakfast every morning very tasty & a good way to meet other travelers! :)
