Honestly comedic the front desk guy was so sassy and aggressive to every single person that came in I got entertainment from watching it. The bald man at reception was rude in a way that will be spoken about for years to come. Passive aggressive for no reason. Other people in the hostel felt the same at and seeing the reviews this ain’t uncommon feedback so I don’t see why nothing is changing. Someone train that man better. Also the woman was rude as well but no where near as the bald man. Also fix the AC, we’re in Australia??? Also no curtains and if you do anything slightly wrong they’ll fine you. I had an awful stay . Left a night early . Rooms stink , they have no room , and there scruffy. I paid for a 6 person room and got put it in a 8 person room . The top bunks don’t have a ladder so have to jump up and down which is extremely dangerous during the night . Really would not recommend. Not worth the money at all

Un desastre, hubo un problema con el pago y estuve días tratando de comunicarme por distintos medios y nunca respondieron. UN DIA ANTES de mi día de check in me avisaron que la reserva estaba cancelada y ya no tenían lugar, en un finde semana donde Sydney estaba lleno y era imposible conseguir alojamiento. La persona que se comunicó conmigo (Rich) fue bastante poco amable.

scary manager very rude when asking a question. don’t recommend unless you really need a room.

All the staff I interacted with were rude. I'd ask a simple question and they'd answer in a passive aggressive manner- EVERY TIME- which was genuinely baffling, and one time I was in my room and asked a member of staff a question about checkout, and he looked at me then began to answer it as he walked out the door and down the corridor, so I had no clue what he was saying. As soon as I arrived I wanted to leave, and just spent as much time away as possible.

One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed in. Not very clean, with a $100 deposit and a $2/day tourist tax, which is unusual in Australia. Too many strict rules with associted fines. No security at night, only a phone number to call. Poor soundproofing despite quiet hours, that nobody respect it. Unsafe bunk beds with no ladder or rail. You need to jump to get of it and you disturb everyone. A drunk man, fell down twice of the second bed during the night. Very bright green light in the room. Don’...

This property is terrible, you have to use your passport as collateral in order to borrow a pan, and only from 8am-10pm. The bedrooms were extremely dusty. The air conditioning unit in our room did not work. The management were terrible, when asking about early checkout I was told, “Read this sign here and only then will I answer your questions” I’m very glad to have left. Very poor experience. Beds not laid out to be able to climb onto top bunk, without proper ladders. No safety barrier for top bunk. Minimal chargers and the few there were didn’t fit all adapters. Rooms were outdated and felt dirty. For a hostel with strict rules on ‘quiet time’ played their own music very loudly past this time. No air con and poor ventilation for large rooms. Good location, cheap ish for bondi but still too expensive for the quality.

I’ve never seen this in my entire life… I stayed only one night but they put 4 bunk beds in the TV room at the ground floor… Yes, that was our bedroom, in a room who is supposed to be shared. They said it was because there wasn’t enough bedrooms for everybody. Why do they kept letting people booking?!

Had a really great stay here! Hostel had a family, friendly atmosphere. Staff were super welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting. Perfect location too😁

Great location right in Bondi, super close to the beach! The vibe was really social and easy to meet people. Rooms were okay, not super fancy but fine for a few nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again for the atmosphere!

the location is absolutely amazing. staff was friendly, facilities were clean & richard (?) was extremely helpful & welcoming when I checked in. handful of long term staff but they were j as friendly & chatty! only downside is no curtains :/

A nice little hostel especially when u wanna go for a sunrise run or surf if has the best location and if u wanna go partying there is always someone who joins u:)

I really enjoyed my stay here! The people we so nice the location is amazing! The showers are very good, I really recommend getting a travel guide from the staff there it was very helpful

The place is really well placed near Bondi. The rooms also have AC and fans, so the temperature was good. The main issue is that the rooms smell really bad. The staff was ok - not super friendly.

Loved this hostel very social and the staff are so friendly and accommodating + free wine every night what more could you ask for.

Had a really nice stay ! Bondi Beach Backpackers feels like a little family, the staff is lovely and very welcoming and people are easy to talk to. The Hostel is also very well located. I recommend !

Saskia is very lovely

Really lovely hostel, every single thing you could possibly need had been thought of for your stay, free rental of surf/beach gear (bring $50 deposit plus your passport!), free pasta/rice and cheap dinners on offer should you need them. Super friendly atmosphere and felt really safe as a solo female. Really friendly and helpful staff on hand til late should you need them, answered all my questions and made sure I had a great time. Even a cute dog at the hostel too you can walk if you want to!!
