This was the worst stay I have ever stayed in while travelling

This is horrible. I have never slept in a bed that was as hard as Stone, but this was. Therefore were we not sleeping at all. The ac was so noisy that we could not sleep with it on. We Will never go back to this place, and will never recomend it.

worst experience in my whole life. firstly, they gave us a room in another property (not the one in photos). cleanliness was far from acceptable, its almost a health hazard. rats in room, water in washroom had bugs. even fan was not working. sheets looked as if they are incubators for diseases. the place was reeking. location is so far and ypu cant get taxis or autos. I was fooled by reviews, but strongly urge everyone to not do the same. staff were friendly, but high all the time. not safe.

Misadvertised which is the main reason for low score. No breakfast or tea /coffee, bike rental, self-catering or bbqs as were advertised. I don't really understand the other reviews as there was no atmosphere there and limited English speaking staff so very hard to get much advise, the response to most questions was 'search online'. Bugs everywhere and mosquito protection limited. Buildings poorly kept and beds uncomfortable. Can get cheaper and more comfortable experience anywhere else on road.

We stayed one night in the bigger room. View and location is great! Very peaceful and quiet. Staff is really nice. We didn’t really like the bed though, and there was no sheet cover for blanket… bathroom was not working well… to expensive for a really simple place not really comfortable.

For the price I paid for a private AC room, I expected warm water. The shower was also very low and the water pressure wasn't optimal.

staff was nice, but got a bit of a weird vibe, because of other guests. Also not really clean. Thats what you pay for i guess. location was really nice though!

We took the dorm, which was cheap so according to the price, it was ok. But it would have been a plus to clean a bit before our arrival. Another plus would be to put mosquito nets. For the reste it was ok :)

bed sheets always felt damp and the bathroom was not very clean! however staff were lovely and great location!

Prima prive kamer! Goede douche, goede airco en goed bed! We konden ook inchekken om 00.45, dat was super. In de kamer lopen er soms wel wat mieren en er staat geen prullenbak. Ook is er geen zeep. Verder zijn er op dit moment niet erg veel mensen hier in de tuin, behalve een familie met kinderen.

A budget option by the beach. You get what you pay for - black mould and ants in the room but v cheap and easy for a short stay. 24hr check in appreciated.

Funky art is cozy and welcoming place with a staff that will do everything they can to give u an amazing experience. Right on the beach! Highly recommended!

I had an excellent stay at Funky in Alleppey. The rooms were clean, and well-maintained, The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The food they served was delicious,The location is also very convenient, with easy access to the main attractions in the city.

Love this place. Fantastic atmosphere with hosts that are always willing to have a good time. Sagar is super helpful in helping guests book great & affordable backwater tours, alongside suggesting other places around town. They help with transportation to the station and other places, too, all for free which is incredibly helpful. Beautiful location, my private room was comfortable though the curtains were rather thin. Nice place to stay in Alleppey!

We really liked the host, he was so kind and hospitable and tried to create a good atmosphere. In terms of facilities, it is fine for the price you pay. But we were in the bottom double room and it felt very hot and slightly unclean. There was no netting on the window so we couldn’t open it.

Funky Art is amazing! The location, amenities, and most importantly the staff made my stay here fantastic. It's a very welcoming place that is well-taken care of and it shows. It's right on the beach, it's clean, comfortable and Saggar regularly went above and beyond to enhance the experience. He even took me to get a sim card and waited a long time because I tried getting it at a location in another city before and it didn't work out. I can totally recommend this hostel. The owner Sagar is great and so helpful and caring. If you want to do different Backwater Trips he can organise for you as well as transportation to different places which was such a big help! The beach directly at the hostel is nice.

Really friendly, fun warm and helpful staff. Could sort anything out and even helped us return a key to a different city which was above and beyond. The atmosphere was all about the owners being fun and inclusive and making sure everyone socialised and had a great personal experience. Would visit Aleppy again just for this hostel and we have recommended it to everyone we have met

Awesome quiet location at end of the road right on the beach. Amazing host, clean room with comfy bed. I highly recommend! As a solo female traveller this place was very safe with nice cafes accessible by foot.

Der Besitzer Herr. Sagar war sehr zuvorkommend. Er hat uns eine günstige Bootstour empfohlen und für uns gebucht, eine Yogastunde organisiert, hat versucht uns Zugtickets zu reservieren, was aufgrund technischer Probleme nicht möglich war, und er hat Tuktuks bestellt. Im Zimmer war Wasser zum trinken bereit gestellt, Seife und Toilettenpapier wurden sofort auf Nachfrage gebracht. Insgesamt haben wir uns wohl und sicher gefühlt.
