Very disappointing. Lack of privacy due to open walls and no ceiling. Noise from the other inhabitants plus a noisy highway next to it made it very difficult to find any peace or quiet. Suspected bedbug infestation and absence of mosquito nets made it impossible to sleep. Lack of cleanliness. Extreme heat with inadequate fan functionality... You shouldn't charge people this price for what the place really is. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone seeking a comfortable and peaceful stay.
The hostel is in a very quiet area, a few steps from the beach. the structure with the pool have a great potential, however it is all very dirty and backyard. the bathroom stank and has never been washed during my stay and my camerata (the 1) is very noisy because it is next to the kitchen and the common area, but there is no real wall dividing them.
I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this hostel was quite average. There were cobwebs everywhere in our room which was dissappointing. However, it is very close to the beach which is good.
This hostel is not close to El Tunco or El Zonte. Hosts were helpful and accommodating. Rooms are very noisy (and not because of any excessive partying) as there is a main road bang next to the place. Not much to do in the area during the day unless you surf. Absolutely nothing to do at night. Maybe ok for people who surf all day and don’t want anything else.
Vieux matelas. Les draps puent. Les serviettes fournies sont vieilles et sales. La piscine est verte. La cuisine est très sale. Aucune possibilité d'avoir de déjeuner. Il y a peu à manger autour ...
Pro: near the beach, nice host family and well equipped kitchen Cons: the room was not very nice, no ceiling, very noisy during the night (dogs, trucks…), many mosquitoes, expensive for what it is
-Friendly owner, who booked the shuttle to Nicaragua for us -but: it's the only hostel in the area apart of the one in El Tunco and it is not very homy or tidy or special and therefore the price is not okay -no mosquito nets -staff lies around, spiderwebs everywhere -dirt in the bathroom -very cheap, sticky blankets -dorm is extremely small, run down furniture -itchen is okay -location: you need to take buses to El Tunco (15 Min) and to El Zonte (around 10), Chickenbusses are not r...
it's a nice accommodation next to a mediocre beach. bring cash since there is no ATM nearby and paying by card is not possible. the hostel doesn't offer any food but has a nice kitchen, I can also recommend the pizza from up the road
Zenia, the owner was warm and welcoming. She offered much information about buses and restaurants. The pool was refreshing when the beach was a scorcher.Various juices, soft drinks and beer were available for a small fee. Large selection of hammocks available. Areas to improve on include cleanliness and general upkeep. The whole place is a bit dated and needs attention. Also, this hostel is very noisy. Highway and animal noises are constant. If you are a light sleeper, maybe no!
There are only 4 dorm beds and I was not prepared the lack of people or things to do. The scuba volcano tour is $125 with a minimum of 2 people, which, given the size of the hostel, is very unlikely. No food is provided at the hostel and there are only 2 local restaurants which basically only do pupusas. The beach has big waves and is very rocky so easy to hurt your feet. The natural pools are very nice though, easy to spend a day there. Come if you want to spend time alone and eat pupusas!

Favorite hostel ever
Hele fijne familie, erg verwelkomend. Fijn verblijf, schoon, lekkere bedden en ieder eigen ventilator en locker. Zeker een aanrader!
Super nice hostel in a unique location! easy to get from here to El zonte of El tunco and 100m from the beach. all facilities are er, kitchen , hammocks and swimming pool. whole nice family, very welcoming. nice stay, clean, nice beds and each own fan and locker.

Owners are lovely & the kitchen facilities are good, but unfortunately the place was quite dirty and the pool was pretty slimy. There were dead insects on the mantle above our beds & the bathroom bin wasn’t changed. The rooms are also open to the outside with no mosquito net, so bear that in mind if you are prone to getting bitten as we left covered in bites. The location is quiet & close to a smaller beach, but you will need to catch a local bus 15min into town to access the main area.
very nice and helpful staff. they apeak perfect english and can help with shuttles and everything.
Mark and Xenia are awesome and the property was great! Nice big kitchen, comfy beds, nice pool and close to a cool beach.

Such a calm and beautiful place !
Thanks for a nice and safe stay at your place. Met some really cool people and felt welcome at all times. Have a great time guys. Sad to go ;)
The whole family is super nice. they are kind as everything and super helpful. the beds are super comfortable too. if you come there, buy your food in advance in the city of san salvador or libetard because there is almost nothing to buy and besides it is very expensive in this tourist zone !;(
lovely as it's out of the way .

I had a very nice stay here! Beds comfy and kitchen fine to cook in! The food truck driving by in the mornings was great and the beach super close. Lots of small places to eat near by (pupusa etc). Easy bus connections if you wanna explore the other beaches around.
It's still less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. if you really want to surf this is probably not the best place, unless you want to even travel to El Zonte where the surf is more consequential. to slot: very chill and quiet vibe, no party hostel but a lot of contact between travelers.

Had a great time staying at the hammock plantation, Xenia and Mark were amazing hosts, 5 min walk from the beach and tons of good options around!!
Sooo cozy! I loved it! I took a surf lesson that they organized. The beach is in the evening super beautiful for a walk and in the morning for a swim. There are some tiendas where you can buy sth to cook but also many options of restaurants at the beach and in town. So nice and relaxing!! Thanks!
The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. Only spent one night because we were moving on but would’ve stayed more if we could’ve! Pool was awesome and coffee in the morning was great to have
Favorite hostel on our trip so far!! The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The facilities are clean and the pool is nice to relax. Loved the hammocks and the cats! Close by is a beach with natural pools, which is quite nice if you don’t want to get swirled around in the waves all the time.
