Oban Youth Hostel

I did not enjoy my stay here. rhe beds were too small, one window was broken and so the room was freezing cold all night. Someone said they would fix it, but that did not happen. Also the showers are a joke, they are narrow, there is no way to put you stuff in there cause the water just goes everywhere. The only positive thing is that the views are really nice. But you'll have to walk around 20 mins fron the station.

The rooms in the lodge were lovely and clean with very comfy beds and pillows. 👍 There was a noise of a motor/ boiler/ heater that kicked in every 20 minutes all through the night for a few minutes that kept us awake and the water from the cold water tap ran hot!

Warm welcome, room was extremely quiet. A level ten minute walk from the centre of the town.

hostel has great views over the harbor and lots of lounges. beds were comfy and rooms and bathrooms were clean. showers were warm but had painful water pressure. only downsides are that there’s not outlets in each bed and the hostel is on the outer bit of town but i think the views make up for it. i think this is definitely the nicer hostel in town.

It was a good experience :) love the cleanliness of environment, friendly people, love outside view, easy accessibility, spacious environment. Only things i would say is that the radiator was not working in room which wasn’t great, it was a bit pricey for a small room and the check in time was very narrow, the amount of money spent, would of been nice for the check in time and check out time to be more of value as the check in time was 4pm.

Beautifully maintained with friendly staff. Right on the water - you can spend all day looking out at the sea. Each room has its own toilet and shower so you're only sharing with a few people. Would 100% recommend!

Amazing hostel! 10/10 will be back Area: Amazing! superb bay view from common rooms, hostel only a +/- 15min walk from Oban train station, but also only a short walk from beaches and forested areas Common Spaces: kitchen fully stocked (pots + pans, microwave, stove etc), plenty of space to cook and sit Rooms: super clean, comfortable beds, floors and bunks creaky (adds to the charm), plenty of lockers (bring padlock, though)

Great hostel, great staff, good facilities. (Could do with an extra microwave!) Big lounge is a smashing communal area for our group of 11 but marred somewhat by a lone "long term resident" who cranked up the TV volume to a ridiculous level then sat staring at us..staff seemed oblivious to his behaviour, almost excusing him as "eccentric" when some of us raised it with them. For a communal area, not really acceptable behaviour or in the ethos of hostelling (we tried to engage,...unresponsive...

This was an amazing hostel the rooms where spacious and clean. All the staff were nice and the kitchen had everything you needed and more. I would definitely stay here again

There was a large kitchen and eating area and fridges to store your own food. Rooms were clean and mine looked over the water. Only 900m from the town centre. The staff were so nice. I did all my laundry here for £6 which is pricey but that included the drying room and everything.

Fantastic location and fantastic view

We had such a great stay at the hostel. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable and we were lucky to have a wonderful view. The facilities are really good with a large kitchen with cooking equipment, crockery etc. We made our own breakfast but the hostel one looked excellent. The drying room was really useful after an early morning swim from the steps in front of the hostel. Living room and books provided were also great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!
