Het hostel was niet schoon, koud in de kamers en geen dekens/lakens om onder te liggen. Daarnaast kreeg je geen sleutel of toegangscode dus was je afhankelijk van een portier die vaak niet wakker was om open te doen. Kortom, niet aan te raden.
The hostel was not clean, cold in the rooms and no blankets to lie under. in addition you were not given a key or access code so you were dependent on a doorman who was often not awake to open. in short, not recommended.
TLDR avoid at all costs.Hands down the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. Owner seemed nice over whatsapp and staff who greeted us were friendly and accommodated a late arrival but the positives stop there. Lack of bedsheets so we had to share a single bed in the 16 people dorm. Dirty, crowded and noisy. The kitchen and bathroom were a tip. Tried to complain the next morning but staff refused and we felt uncomfortable so paid and left. In short stay here if you fancy a walk on the wild side...
Very bad experience. The hostel was extremely dirty, with a strong smell of urine in the common areas and dorms. The hygiene was so poor that I did not feel comfortable taking a shower. I also felt unsafe: late at night, the host entered the dorm and touched my mattress without warning. I left immediately! even tho it was 5 am in salvador. I strongly do not recommend this hostel, especially for solo female travelers. If i could put 0 stars i would have.
Alles war so dreckig, dass wir sofort wieder gegangen sind. Überall waren Katzen, die in die Zimmer gepinkekt haben. Das Fenster war offen ohne Glas zur 4 -spurigen Strasse raus. Unser unsprüngliches Doppelzimmer konnten wir nicht beziehen, da es enorm nach Urin stank. Die Matratzen waren rott und eklig. Aber der Rezeptionist war enorm lieb und hilfsbereit.
Everything was so dirty that we immediately went back inside. Everywhere there were cats, who were pecking into the room. The window was open without a glass to the 4-spurigen Strasse. We couldn't get into our unfurnished Double room because it smelled of urine. The mattresses were rotten and disgusting. But the receptionist was extremely kind and helpful.

They changed rooms, but the one I had reserved was dirty, but the one assigned didn't look any cleaner. coworking area is a table and 3 chairs that are half functional.

The hostel was unbelievably dirty- hair on the floors, terrible toilets- everything just crazy dirty. I was on the lower bunk and my bed collapsed in on me during the night. The street outside was clearly a bit dangerous, which would have been fine, but our keycards didn't work- we had to ring and wait about ten minutes for staff to realise and come and answer as new keycards we're not given to us. We left after one night (even though we were still paying). The staff didn't seem surprised.
The hostel staff was nice, and the vibe of the other visitors was good, but everything was *really dirty*. The bathrooms, especially, were disgusting. Everything felt old and unclean. I’ve never stayed in such a dirty hostel, and it wasn’t cheap at all (aprox 30 euros per person per night)
Muy mal experiencia, el peor hostel que he estado. Todo super sucio, SUPER. Habíamos reservado y no nos enteraba nadie, nos hicieron las camas con unas sabanas que estaban por ahí tiradas. Nos pusieron en una habitación sin aire acondicionado. No nos recibieron nada bien. Por la mañana no había nadie para abrirnos y tuvimos que llamar 40 veces
Very bad experience, the worst hostel I've ever been in. super dirty, SUPER. we had booked and no one knew, they made our beds with some blankets lying around. they put us in a room without air conditioning. they didn't welcome us well. in the morning there was no one to open the door and we had to knock 40 times
O hostel tá caindo aos pedaços, parece que teve uma obra não finalizada e tudo parece muito velho. A equipe foi muito legal e a localização realmente é boa mas as instalações deixam MUITO a desejar. Não da pra controlar o ar condicionado nos quartos, faltou papel higienico, o chuveiro quebrado, os colchões velhos.
The hostel is falling apart, it looks like it had some unfinished work and everything looks very old. the staff was very nice and the location is really good but the facilities leave a LOT to be desired. no control of the air conditioning in the rooms, missing toilet paper, or broken shower, the old mattresses.

We came to the hostel and were nicely welcomed. However the guy how let us in couldn’t give us our bads but said we had to wait for the chief 2h. My friend and I didn’t feel comfortable and decided to go.

Wonderful experience, everyone was so nice and they were doing bbq and they invited me some. Some people complain about the sheets being unclean, but I was talking to the owner and he explained that it was new volunteers that were learning, so it's actually an issue. I got mine perfectly clean.
This was a very intense and different hostel to stay in! PROS: the owner Rasta is a very nice and kind man. You can meet some other good travellers there. CONS: the vibe can make you feel uncomfortable as it feels more like a house but you're a random guest as staff are in their own bubble. It can feel very chaotic and not peaceful.Some long term guests can make you feel uncomfortable. And people steal your food from the fridge. Also the cleanliness/facilities need to be improved.

A vibe do hostel é incrível! O equipe é muito legal e acolhedor. Se sente como uma família mesmo

Staff are great but hostel was extremely dirty with next-to-no facilities. We weren’t sure if the bedsheets and beds had even been washed. We felt a bit on edge and uncomfortable there.

Best place eva in Salvador to stay
A comfy bed! And they were happy to look after my suitcase in a locked room for a few days. The owner is nice, but they are really the only positives. Someone has to let you out any time you want to leave, the kitchen is not very clean, and the shared space doesn't feel cared for.

We were given the private room adjacent to the living area. The sheets were heavily stained and the room had an unpleasant smell. Poor cleaning. There were windows without curtains so light came in from communal area, making the room very bright. Music was played until late: past 11 pm. Light and music turned on again inexplicably at 3.30 am!! We were woken up! One staff member was there. Had to ask twice for them to turn it off. No respect for the sleep of their guests. Disappointing.
It was great! The staff were awesome and I enjoyed the vibes!
