Forest Lake Backpackers Hostel

Gave them my laundry to wash, ended up getting someone elses stuff mixed into my bag (gross) and some of my clothes were missing… EXPENSIVE items, and they refused to take responsibilty or to reimburse me for over $100 worth of clothing. Very upset. Rooms are noisy. Do not recommend this place. Poor customer service.

All that I can say is that this place was ok... The beds were actually very comfortable, probably the most comfortable that I have slept on in Nepal and they did a pretty good job of keeping the place clean. The atmosphere however, was terrible in my opinion. I had never seen so many old people in a hostel before. They were staying in the dorms, snoring all night long, getting in the way of everyone, it was pretty gross. One night I could not handle the snoring from one of the elderly guests in ...

located right opposite the lake. not too far from the main lakeside streets. really calm. very clean. however the staff aren't helpful at all if you want to figure out your travel plans or make some bookings. they don't have any idea and neither they have any relevant contacts.

Gutes Hostel. Gemeinschaftsbereich nicht besonders einladend um in Gespräche zu kommen. Räume klein und etwas überladen mit Betten. Die Lage ist fantastisch, direkt an der Promenade am See. Personal war freundlich, doch sehr unorganisiert. Habe meine Wäsche dort zum Waschen gegeben, welche das Personal dann einem anderen Gast gegeben hat. Meine Reise hat sich dadurch um 4 Tage verzögert…

The larger form was a lot better than the smaller dorm. The smaller form had broken curtains and less privacy, but the bigger form had wooden enclosure which felt more private

Good hostel overall. My room had a beautiful view over the lake, was clean. Atmosphere was not really existent. The staff was overall nice, but they also booked me on a bus that didn't exist, so mixed feelings.

Las habitaciones forest view son extremadamente humedas, no las recomiendo. El resto de habitaciones estan muy bien

Amazing hostel which great facilities and comfy beds. The stuff is super nice and I love the location because it’s a bit outside the main area which makes it a bit quieter but still close to all the cafés and attractions. I felt very comfortable and safe:)

Great stay with my football team at this hostel. Big shoutout to Sunil! He was a legend. He helped us organise the transport of a bag to Kathamndu after one of our friends forgot it. The whole team was very good.

Had a great time at Forest Lake Backpackers Hostel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with planning excursions and different activities. The location was great. Right on the lake with a beautiful view. They had a cafe in the hostel that served really good food at a good price. I really liked the fresh pressed juice they had. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and helpfulness. You guys made my stay an absolute pleasure!

We had a lovely stay at Forest Lake Backerpackers. Room was clean and spacious and the staff were fantastic, booking a hot air balloon trip for us which has been the highlight of light of our trip in Nepal. They were also able to do laundry for us and were able to let us check in earlier too. It’s located in a quieter section of the lake which was perfect for us, still lots of cafes and bars nearby without being overcrowded. Would recommend 100%

Quiet end of Lakeside, although road can be noisy late evening and early morning, as on a bend so encourages beeping. Chill out area on 3rd floor was a highlight with hammock and lake views. Showers warm and strong and clean. Dorms were roomy.

Great place to stay, perfect location and very friendly helpful staff. Very good value and convenient location 3 minute walk to Main Street but hostel still quiet and tranquil next to the lake. Thanks for a perfect stay looking forward to my next trip
