Price and location On the morning before I left, I started feeling itchy all over my body and noticed red bumps on my skin. At first, I thought I had been bitten by a mosquito, but then I realized that I had bites all over my body. After checking previous reviews, I found out that there had already been reports of bed bugs in the room. As soon as I got home, I had to wash and freeze all my belongings and throw away my shoes as a precaution. It’s a shame because the accommodation is in a great location and otherwise I liked it, but this is definitely something the owner needs to address.

I liked the location The first thing I didn't like was that it was really hard to find the right entrance. I checked in with my daughter, and the room seemed perfectly fine for a simple overnight stay of a few days. Then things started to get interesting. First, the bathroom didn't close. There were three other rooms in the apartment where men lived. The shower itself was broken, and the water was leaking everywhere. But the worst part was at night. I fell asleep, but I only managed to sleep for about an hour. I woke up because something was bitings me. When I turned on the light, I saw that the whole bed was covered in bedbugs. It was awful and disgusting. I take my orthopedic pillow with me when I travel, and I was horrified to see bedbugs on it. When I discovered bedbugs, I immediately got out of bed. But I was even more shocked by the fact that the bedbugs were already crawling all over my suitcase and backpacks; I could only sit on a chair because the bedbugs were also crawling on the sofa. The bedbugs were of different sizes: small, medium, and huge. At night I saw bedbugs in the bathroom and toilet. My daughter woke up when I turned on the light and was also afraid to lie down or sit on the bed until the morning. I went out to the kitchen and met a neighbor from the third room. My daughter and I lived in the fourth room. The neighbor from the third room, a young man, said that there were bedbugs in his room too and he was not surprised by the bedbugs, since he had stayed there several times and there were bedbugs every time. The fact that the man knew about bedbugs and still stayed at this place really surprised me. I wrote to the owner at night about the bedbugs and received a response only in the morning. The next day, which I planned to spend in Budapest walking around the sights, was ruined. Firstly, I wanted to sleep, but I had to figure out how to disinfect all my things to avoid bringing bedbugs home.

The worst place I've ever been. This property shouldn't be listed on Booking.com. it doesn't meet any hygiene or safety criteria. From the moment you walk in, it was clear that cleanliness is definitely not this place's strong suit. The mattresses, pillows, and furnishings were dirty, stained, and clearly neglected. There were hair, nails, dust, dirt, and marks on the surfaces that simply shouldn't be in a sleeping area. The worst thing happened later, however, when we found bedbugs in the area where we were supposed to sleep. Given the condition of the mattresses and all the furnishings, this raised serious concerns about hygiene and safety. The mere fact that such insects were found in the bed is absolutely unacceptable to us. We are including photos with this review because it's difficult to describe the condition of this place in words. They show, among other things, dirty and stained pillows (covered in blood), hair, nails on the mattress, and bedbugs. These aren't minor imperfections or subjective impressions, the condition of the room was simply unacceptable. Staying overnight in such conditions is completely unacceptable, and the lack of contact between the property owner and Booking.com for almost a month regarding a refund, while still allowing the reservation to be made, is ridiculous and damages Booking.com's reputation.
