On a passez deux jours dans cet établissement, moisissure sur les murs, ils ont voulu nous faire croire que les chambres était pas prête et nous faire payer un supplément alors qu’il y avait personne dans la chambre, douche qui fonctionne pas bien, rooftop desastreux, la climatisation pas entretenu, odeur dans la chambre on a demander a changer ils ont essayer de nous faire payer un supplément.
We spent two days in this establishment, mold on the walls, they wanted to make us believe that the rooms were not ready and charge us extra when there was no one in the room, shower that does not work well, rooftop disastrous, air conditioning not maintained, smell in the room on asking to change they tried to charge us extra.
I’m not sure why this hostel has such a high rating. To begin with, they play music untill late at night (we asked them to put out the music at 3 in the morning) and start up the music really early, we woke up from the music at the reception. The first night there was a loud and aggressive argument coming from a really drunk hostel volunteer. He woke up half of the hostel. The bathrooms are absolutely gross. Not a pleasent stay, we will be switching hostels as soon as possible.

AC hat nicht gut funktioniert. Gerade als Solo Traveller nicht zu empfehlen. Sehr leer gewesen, an der Bar ein komisches Klientel, den ganzen Tag Wannabe Latino Musik.
The hostel has had its best years behind it, very dark, quite high, the top floor is being built daily - but nothing happens. Many rooms without daylight. AC has not worked well. Gerade als Solo Traveller not to recommend. Very empty, in the Bar ein komisches Klientel, all day Wannabe Latino Musik
Location was good, beach was only 5 mins walk away. Rooms were dusty a crumby but bathrooms were kept clean. Some of the staff were nice, however others plus come clientele were unprofessional and grabby. Overall, wouldn’t recommend!
Das Hostel hat an sich viel Potenzial. Die Zimmer sind groß genug und sauber. Negativ: - Die Badezimmer wurden auch nach Nachfrage nur oberflächlich gereinigt und sind nicht unterbringt sauber. - Der allgemeine Vibe in dem Hostel ist schlecht, unangenehme Antmospähre - Laute Musik bis spät in die Nacht - Kein Wasserspender - Handtuch gegen Aufpreis - Drogengeruch - wenig Backpacker - Rezeption sollte ab 6 Uhr morgens besetzt sein, wollte um 8 auschecken - keiner da
The hostel has a lot of potential. The rooms are large enough and clean. Negative: - The bathrooms were only superficially cleaned even on request and are not clean. - The general vibe in the hostel is bad, unpleasant Antmospähre - Laute Musik bis spät in die Nacht - No Wasserspender - Handkerch gegen Aufpreis - Drogengeruch - wenig Backpacker - Reception should be occupied from 6 am, wanted to check out at 8 am - none there
Ça fait l’affaire mais c’est pas le paradis… l’ambiance est glauque, c’est tout sombre et il y a personne. Le lit n’était pas le plus confortable mais franchement la chambre faisait l’affaire, ce qui est cool c’est que c’est à 3 min à pied de la plage! Et puis c’est aussi proche de bons restau. A du potentiel mais ne l’utilise pas
It's cool but it's not heaven... the atmosphere is gloomy, it's all dark and there's no one. the bed wasn't the most comfortable but frankly the bedroom was cool, what's cool is it's a 3 minute walk to the beach! and then it's also close to good restaurants. has potential but don't use it.
I saw a handful of other guests during my stay. There was no hostel atmosphere and no organised activities. Breakfast was rather poor. I stayed in a private double room and felt the mattress.
The place is huge and gives you alot of room to hangout but other then that like half the toilets didn't work. The bar in the lobby is a vibe but this place is the definition of mid
Cockroaches in the bathrooms, bathrooms cleaned once per day, bedsheets and towels smelt unclean, and incompetent staff. The girl on reception was incredibly rude to a girl in my room- she also told me the wrong date I was checking out and she couldn’t work out how much I needed to pay. Made to feel an inconvenience. Most of the staff are AWOL the majority of the time or drinking in the below-average bar downstairs with drab karaoke nights that echo around the whole hostel. Avoid staying here!
It has a hotel so there also family with childern. For me that is not vibe I looking for as a backpacker.

Great location and amazing staff. The vibe is great overall, but it can be loud sometimes from the music from the bar blasting all day.
Phu house was a sick destination. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and community of the people. Definitely a social hostel, with plenty of activities to do. Would stay again

Hostel was really nice, but 1 of the bar staff was very uncomfortable. Throwing empty water bottles at people, drinking from people’s drinks, swearing at customers and starting arguments.
Great place! Staff is top tier friendly became friends with them. Best location for hostel by everything you need to be by.

Loved it here lively at night in the bar but got other places to chill out. Staff are great friendly and it’s just good vibes in the hostel with beach and bars nearby. First time in Vietnam and it was great place to come and feel welcomed.
I loved Phu House so much, that on my second day I already extended for 3 more nights! Phu Quoc is definitely catered to families, but at Phu House it was like I was a part of a community. Everyone knew my name, said hi to me, invited me for drinks or just hanging out. I felt very welcomed! My room was also really nice, and the bed was amazing AND the shower had a box, which I really appreciated!

Beautifully designed hostel, great bed with curtain to protect your privacy in shared mixed dorm and the bar at the lobby are full of energy with great companies. Fred and Sil always make sure you’re not gonna miss anything on the island. Amazing experiences and wonderful stay, booked for a night but extend my stay after all :))
Im Zimmer hat es unangenehm gerochen. Zudem empfand ich die Stimmung im Gemeinschaftsbereich unangenehm. Viele betrunkene Männer… es handelt sich um ein Party Hostel, wo die Musik auch mal nach 12 Uhr laut sein kann.
The room smelled unpleasant, and I also felt the atmosphere in the community area unpleasant, many drunken men... it is a party hostel, where the music can be loud even after 12 o'clock.
By far the the most fun hostel with the best atmosphere we’ve been to. All the volunteers were super nice, funny and cool and we felt very welcome! Not to mention that they played the BEST music by the bar, I’m talking banger after banger!
Wir hatten einen mega Aufenthalt im Phu House mit seinem Team. Das ganze Team von vorn bis hinten hat auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Immer was los, suuuper social, offen für Fragen, kompetent, super Bootstour, guter Ausblick vom Dach. Sauber war es, allerdings hätte es im Zimmer noch besser riechen können. ;) Rundrum sind wir mega gern hier gewesen und haben sogar meinen Geburtstag hier gefeiert und waren sehr Happy mit dieser Entscheidung. 👌👌
We had a mega stay at Phu House with his team. The whole team from front to back has been convincing all along. Always was lo, suuuper social, open for questions, competent, super bootstour, guter Ausblick vom Dach. Sauber it was, allerdings it could have smelled even better in Zimmer. ;) Rundrum we have been mega gern here and have even celebrated my birthday here and were very happy with this decision. 👌👌
