We visited in early October and the hostel was a ghost town - think we only saw two other guests so the atmosphere was non-existent. The hostel itself was nice and quite modern. The dorms were well air-conditioned and we had a comfortable sleep. Staff were helpful. The only area to hang out was a sofa in a non-air conditioned area where there was a TV - super sweaty. There is also a cafe/restaurant downstairs hut we didn’t feel we could hang out there without buying something.
+ Not much really! Obviously had a theme but too much like a prison cell for us.
- No safe in room, no hot water in basin, bed was hard (very hard) breakfast had to be ordered the night before, no tea / coffee in room or even a kettle. Very drab appearance to the rooms all grey and concrete.
+ De lobby is leuk ingericht, en de poging voor het treinthema kwam wel door. De mensen achter de balie zijn vriendelijk.
- Het was enorm luid. Tegenover het hotel is een bar waar tot 01.30h luid gezongen werd. De ramen zijn enkel glas en hielden niets tegen. In de kamer zelf was dan ook de airco nogeens erg luid waardoor er geen rust te vinden was. De wasmachines waren kapot. Het treinthema was meer een bunkerthema waar je wel wat aan kon wennen, en qua ligging was het ook niet zo geweldig centraal. Over het algemeen zijn de “zeer goede” recensies flink misleidend.

- Un hangar à 50 m de l'hôtel sans protection acoustique, jouait de la musique tout les soirs jusqu'à 1h du matin ( boîte de nuit) Impossible de dormir et de se reposer. L'hôtel n'est pas du tout insonorisé....

- Matelas du lit très inconfortable. Dur comme une planche de bois. Mal de dos assuré. Un nightclub l’autre côté de la rue qu’on attend très bien jusqu’à 1-2h am

- Slechte communicatie personeel, geluidsoverlast van de weg, vreselijke airconditioning. harde bedden. Geen goede verduistering. TEMU hotel.

- Toilet seat kept falling on me while using it. Needs to be changed. Small room, tricky dealing with luggage, smelly water from the tap and shower making the whole room smell of sewage0. Realised outside that it seems to be a pbm not only affecting Westory.

- Het duurde erg lang tot de kamer koel was. De airco maakt een hard geluid. In de badkamer zat geen airco en was het echt bloedheet. Je kon de deur niet open zetten naar de slaapkamer want dan werd het daar ook heet. Wij hadden met ontbijt. Je kon maar 1 ding kiezen uit een lijst van 6. Was dus echt beperkt. Geen jochies of fruit ofzo. Tegenover het hotel zit een café oid waar ze tot rond 13 uur lawaai maken. Dit hoor je goed op je slaapkamer. Ik kan niet begrijpen dat dit een 4 sterren hotel is. Wij hadden 4 kamers omdat we met 8 personen waren en elke kamer heeft dezelfde ervaring als ik hier beschrijf. Wees dus gewaarschuwd!

Sehr nettes Personal. War während unseres Aufenthaltes aber sehr verlassen
War during our stays but very deserted.
Good stay for a night or two. Close to the nightly food fair, and walkable to other parts of town. Very quiet (so is the town) but rooms are comfy and safe.
+ L’emplacement est parfait à 15min à pied de la gare et de la gare routière. Super accueil et dortoir propre et confortable et sans bruit !!

+ I always stay here when I visit Kanchanaburi. It’s a modern hostel with great breakfast 🙂 regarding the noise I came prepared with ear plugs just in case cafe reading reviews, but I didn’t need them. The noise is very faint and barely bothers anyone!
+ Struttura molto carina con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. La nostra camera veramente caldissima con condizionatori molto rumoroso. Per una notte comunque può andare bene

- El baño mejorable, sobre todo la cortina de la ducha. La habitación es justa.

Great stay, very helpful staff! In a good location, a lot of places are walkable. Very clean rooms & facilities.

Great place, feels very modern
+ Convenient, just a minutes walk away from city centre and markets. Super clean facilities. Comfy beds. Huge working / chill area.
- Not a complaint, but it having to tell the hour for breakfast a day before felt odd and quite compromising. Besides that, great place to stay!
+ Very good breakfast that You pick from a menu a day before. Nice staff, clean rooms. Just 5 minutes walking from a night market, 10 min from the bus station.
- There are a couple of restaurants/clubs outside which are blasting music till 1am - you need earplugs. Air conditioning is problematic - you cant change the angle - it blows straight onto bed and it's given me a cold. You cant also regulate the fan speed, only the temperature and it seems that the thermostat was broken. It was blowing like crazy for any temperature of up to 25,5 C, at 26C it stopped working almost entirely
