I would appreciate it if the staff kept in mind that not all guests are fluent in English. While the team was professional, speaking a bit more slowly and clearly would make the experience much more welcoming for international travelers. Pésimo lugar para alojar, la diferencia con alojar en un hotel de mediana categoría es mínima. La cocina es horrible, no funciona, apenas hay un microondas para calentar tu comida y se encuentra al lado de la recepción. Filthy. There’s the basic lack of standard hygiene. 3 days, not once I seen anyone to at least try to attempt a little cleaning in the most sensitive areas like bathrooms and floors. People turn around every day, but cleaning is just a statement at this place. Plus the overall state of the structure is questionable as well. Wondering how this place still operating. If got all the vaccines, and in good health you can probably survive lol. Won’t be back.

Devido a um erro na recepção paguei 4 noites sendo que apenas estive 3 noites na mesma, já pedi o dinheiro várias vezes e nunca me foi devolvido. Acho ridículo esta atitude!!! Falta de honestidade!!! Deplorável!!!

Expensive for what you get. Dorm rooms are basic. Party hostel.

-Wlan funktioniert schlecht und auf den Zimmern gar nicht! -Küche schlecht ausgestattet, es gibt eigentlich gar nichts zur Verwendung. Da nützt auch die beste Aussicht nichts -Zimmer sind finster, zu eng und klein und riecht alt und verschimmelt Absolut den Preis nicht wert!

Hostel is good but staff is rude. Despite informing them in advance of my stay about my broken leg and the need for a lower bunk, they didn't arrange it. Upon arrival, staff wanted turned me away due to risks for the hostel, which is unacceptable, especially late at night with a broken leg and luggage.

The staff's attitude was mixed; some were very good, others not so much. As an Asian, the worst treatment I received was from the Asian front desk staff, both the ladies and the gentlemen. The best treatment was from the front desk staff of other ethnicities, including Black and White staff members. Asian travelers, please take note.

The one guy in my room had sex. The other guy peed all over the bathroom and there was water everywhere because of constructions. The front and room door wasn’t locked at any time. Disappointed!!

I was super disappointed when I showed up to check in and no one had informed me that rooftop was closed and under construction. I also wasn’t prepared for the sheer level of wall shaking noise that that construction made in our room. Want to sleep in past 8:30? Go somewhere else. To top it off having 75% of the toilets and showers overflowing with black water was just the icing on the cake. Honestly, was a little rougher than I expected. Room had no window and a loud AC, and lots of bugs and roaches. Community was amazing though! Staff were so nice and the atmosphere was great, I would just recommend booking at one of the sister hostels.

I would recommend The Beach to anyone staying in Waikiki. Its price is reasonable and the location is close to so much! The staff are friendly and helpful, too. It’s a great choice!

Did a private room for the first time, vibes were great. Didn’t feel excluded from any activities even being in a private. Facilities were clean and everyone was amazing!

From the other travelers I met staying at hostels near by, everyone wanted to switch to our hostel 🥳 and rightfully so. I love that they do theme nights like thirsty Thursdays. It really give everyone the chance to meet new people and make new friends. Super close to the beach which was super convenient if you don’t have a car and are only staying in Waikiki. There was also some free parking nearby you just have to get lucky. Overall, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Great staff such a unique spot full pf energy and acitivites as well as the ability to just relax and enjoy the atmosphere having an area to yourself. Highly rec. for those who are very cool

I've been to a lot of hostels and travelled to 37 countries. With that in mind. Typically, when I see a hostel ranked at 9 its an absolute amazing hostel. I think in general the backpackers that go here are amazing and you can make lots of connections when you go to the roof in the evening. Its a little disorganized with how the hostel plans for activities and the lack of having any staff attend and be the organizer of events for daily or evening activities. It's definitely not a LOKI Hoste...

i had a nice stay here it’s super close to the beach and all the staff were very friendly and everything was clean. also enjoyed the events planned by aloh! only thing to keep in mind is that it’s not really made for cooking. overall great hostel :)

Stayed here with my best friend in a girls dorm and it was awesome!! Clean and quiet. Great location. The staff are super friendly and helpful! There is also activities at the location periodically for everyone to get together and meet new people. Absolutely would stay here again!! :)

Some hooks on the wall for hanging clothes to dry would be a good idea. I appreciated being able to wash clothes there. We would return.

the place was really nice. great facilities and the staff was really nice. i like how we are able to use free beach gear and the location is amazing! people have mixed feelings about the location in terms of safety but i didn’t have any problems with it. overall. i would stay again!

I stayed in a single room and it felt like a prison cell — my windows faced a sliver of a courtyard with no view. The room thankfully had an AC unit, and though I cracked open a window to let some air in, the room still was musty. There was no art or decor on the walls, or even any hooks for that matter since there was no closet to hang my belongings up. There was only one bathroom (one toilet and one shower) to share between 3-6 guests. Most of the staff were not very friendly or warm.

Great location, very close to the beach. Lots of free amenities such as towels, beach gear and breakfast. Awesome experience overall :)

I loved it here so much. I’m a female solo traveler and I stayed in a mixed dorm. I felt really save the whole time and met so many great people through the hostel.

Very nice hostel, the staff were all nice ! Very clean, the owner was really nice, and I enjoyed my stay there! Would come back someday!

We loved staying here. It was close to the beach and rentals. Staff was SO helpful and friendly. Loved the access to filtered water too.

Ive been to a couple hostels. This is my least favorite. We got two rooms. One for my friends (private) and then for me and my bf (shared) . Probably wont do it again. The private was nice but we didnt like the shared. We have to pay for towels and no blankets just thin sheets. The morning front desk are great but the evening/night front desk are miserable. She made sure we know that she hated it being there. Mind you she's new and her tone is arrogant. The housekeepers are great i love them!
