Terribile room and service

I stayed for 3 nights mid-July. I got stung around 50 times by bed bugs. When I came back home, I found a dead bug in my suitcase and felt itchy on my arms and legs. I will certainly have to pay for a professional service to eradicate the bugs in my apartment if there are still eggs/bugs (> 800€).

The WiFi doesn’t work for me and the front desk refused to restart the router or do any help.

I feel bad having to leave this review because the staff here was absolutely lovely- the kindest of people. As for the hostel itself, it felt very dirty, there were stains everywhere, my sheets had hair all over them and the beds had an icky texture, the atmosphere here was non existent. The outdoor seating was very uncomfortable and dirty, the bathrooms were gross and the water in the shower wouldnt drain and when it pooled up it was a murky color. The layout was strange and I just felt gross ...

It’s. So. Gross. It’s 2024 yet they have carpet floors?? I don’t have allergies but I’m pretty sure I’d get them if I stayed one more night. Everything was old and gross, dusty (also they were renovating rooms which made it even more dusty!! Very unsanitary) and the whole place smelled like cigarettes. I’ve travelled more third world countries than European countries, so trust me I have low standards, but my breakfast plate was sticking to the table like your shoes stick to the floor...

The hostel smells funny. It was really awful they there! I could never recommend that place.

Primero, la chica francesa que estaba en su segunda noche hablo solo conmigo y me dijo que era la segunda noche que no podía dormir, teniendo incluso los tapa oídos y que se iba a ir del hostel porque no podía más, es un delito acusarnos de eso realmente, hay que medir las palabras y dejar a las personas contar sus experiencias. Segundo, fuimos respetuosos en todo moment...

Mi experiencia fue muy poco agradable en este lugar y no vale para nada el precio que pagué por ello: para empezar, el lugar desprendía malos olores desde la recepción. Las camas y almohadas de la habitación parecían colchonetas inflables de la playa a las que les ponen funda de cama y a dormir. El suelo crujía a cada paso que dabas. La habitación ofrecía muy poca privacidad. Las taquillas no tenían candado siquiera, ni el lugar ofrece toallas ni secador ni nada a los clientes. Pero ya ...

Well, the only good in the hostel is the location. Apart from that it's not clean, it smells bad and they didn't even try to decorate the rooms more friendly. Unfortunately it's not a good place to stay and definitely it's not the place to meet young people.

O Hostel é bem simples, necessita de uma reforma, beliches antigas de madeira, colchão/colchonete e travesseiros em plásticos, roupas de cama bem velhas e manchadas, banheiros entupidos sem o flush funcionar bem. Toalhas de banho podem ser adquiridas por 2 pounds, porém são toalhas velhas e bem usadas. Café da manhã simples também (pão, manteiga, fruta e café solúvel). Apesar de tudo, o ambiente estava limpo, só que o produto de limpeza que utilizaram no dia em que nos hospedamos era...

Para mujeres que viajamos solas y queremos estar trabquilas es un sitio muy recomendable. En la habitación que me aloje yo , solo de mujeres, las literas son de 3 alturas demasiado para mi. La asignación de altura de cama es según llegues la que esté vacia, no te reservan antes. Camas comodas. Baño nuevo y limpio. Cocina limpia y conpleto. Desayuno sencillo pero perfecto . Lugar tranquilo y sin ruidos. Personal amable. Calidad Precio mas que suficiente!

Barmy is an absolute gem. Almost 30 years old, it’s well worn but loved (founding owners still run it). The location is great—super easy to get to from Heathrow & for accessing central London from nearby Earl’s Court station. There’s a Sainsbury market at the corner, which is very convenient given the full kitchen available at the hostel. There’s also a lounge with tv & books, back patio, & laundry. Terribile room and service

Great place to stay. They could improve breakfast by adding eggs and yoghurt.

Excellent séjour dans cet hostel. Le personnel est très accueillant et tout s’est bien passé du check-in au check-out. Chambre propre et bien entretenue au quotidien, avec salle de bain privée. Le petit déjeuner est complet et la cuisine bien organisée. Emplacement idéal, juste à côté de la station Earl’s Court, avec beaucoup de restaurants et de petits commerces à proximité. Je recommande à 100 %

Overall very solid hostel & great location. Would’ve been nice if they didn’t charge me for my first night I wasn’t there due to my flight being canceled, but maybe that’s wishful thinking.

Bonne petite auberge de jeunesse. Propre & à 5 min du métro. Chambre de 6 femmes. Salle de bain clean. Cependant portes qui claquent et grincent donc n’espérez pas dormir d’une traite si il y a des mouvements la nuit. Le petit déjeuner mentionné n’en est pas un. Du pain & du beurre. Ok pour une nuit, pas vraiment plus.

O atendimento foi ótimo com a Liz! Mas senti falta de mais aquecimento no quarto. Diversas vezes sentia frio enquanto dormia. Aos domingos fecham cedo a recepção, e se precisar de algo, não estão mais por lá. Não reclamo das escadas pois sei que é algo comum de UK, mas, o chão precisa de reparos,faz muitos rangidos.

Ostello veramente comodo per girare per Londra con personale molto gentile e disponibile! Pulizia da migliorare…la nostra camera da 4 non era stata pulita neanche un minimo prima che noi arrivassimo.

Heel fijn relaxt hostel om in te verblijven. Ligt dicht bij een centraal metrostation en een busstation. De kamers zijn wat gedateerd, maar wel schoon. De badkamers waren netjes. Het ontbijt was niet heel uitgebreid, maar wel oké en wel heel fijn dat het erbij zat. De mensen die in het hostel verbleven en het personeel was allemaal vriendelijk.

Nie miałam wysokich oczekiwań, ale pobyt zaskoczył mnie bardzo pozytywnie! Zatrzymałam się w prywatnym pokoju 2 osobowym - co prawda był malutki, ale i tak przychodziłyśmy tam tylko spać. Łóżko BARDZO wygodne, a pościel ciepła i czysta. Łazienka zaskakująco czysta i świeżo wyremontowana, jak na hostel. Jedyne co mnie lekko zawiodło, to śniadanie - nie było nic na słono, jedynie tosty, dżemy i nutella do smarowania chleba + płatki śniadaniowe. Ale to tylko mała niedogodn...

They do not need evaluation, the hostel is always full up. I've stayed in many hostels in London, and it was the best. They are the best in location: you've have to take only one line to the airport, they are next Picadilly, Westminster, Shakespeare theater... The breakfast is completely amazing, the staff is lovely and about the security, I think is their strongest.

Very nice for a short stay to explore the city, short walk to the subway, friendly staff and overall atmosphere!:) the private room was a nice alternative to a regular hotel and the kitchen very well equipped

Very homely and central place, doesn't even feel like a hostel, friendly and helpful staff, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, laundry on site and easy walk of both Hammersmith and Kensington, but also excellent public transport links, 5/5

I stay at this hostel often when I am in London, it is perfect. The staff are friendly, the hostel is clean, and it is quiet. I recommend this hostel. It is close to all the cultural highlights of London and all of the underground services and buses. The beds are spacious and comfortable.

I was in the 4 bed female dorm. This was very comfortable with the ensuite. Staff were friendly and kitchen was very spacious and kept clean. This hostel is a little out of city centre so good for those looking for a quieter stay.

A lovely, homey hostel with a really well stocked kitchen!! The staff were very nice and accomodating. The rooms were comfortable and warm during the winter. Really well located :))

perfect location, nice building, greay breakfast in the morning. i had no issues personally but someone in my room did have bed bugs.

Nice hostel in west London. Very close to Earl’s Court station. Privacy curtains and air con in the room would be a bonus - was too warm even for winter and with the window open.
