BED STATION Hostel Ratchthewi

Overall a nice hostel, people were minding their self’s so not the most social hostel but it was fine. Clean bathroom and staff were nice. Sadly I found a bedbug on our last night, we didn’t want to stay obvi and got refounded for one person even though we were two people who had to leave our beds in the middle of the night. But I guess it’s better than nothing, the guy at the reception was nice and understanding.

The bedroom smelt musty and like of damp, and i’m fairly sure I had bed bugs! The hostel is very quiet if that’s what you’re after. Other than that I thought it was well equipped with a small kitchen, decent bathroom but you have to go upstairs to get to it.

My biggest concern was bedbugs! Because it never happened with me before I couldn’t understand why I always wake up with more and more bites that actually covered all of my body until one morning I saw a bedbug. It’s really awful! It ruined everything! Although the staff offered me a refund for a couple nights of my stay, which was nice and I appreciate it but it’s my health and it shouldn’t be this way. Personally I didn’t like the loft design because all the day and night it’s very dark everywhere, no sun at all, not enough light. Not possible to work there. Very little space in the kitchen. And the breakfast is just another thing: I could not have that breakfast because I can’t even call it breakfast. No gluten free and non-dairy options, basically it’s just bread and bananas. Was very disappointed with that.
