Dink's Place Hostel

Don't trust the hostel description, it says you can freely use the kitchen, but they kicked us out while we were cooking dinner, which was very rude. The description also says "No curfew!" but this is also a lie. At 10 PM, they will kick you out of any common space and force you to either leave the hostel or get back into your room. I would not recommend staying here.

I was supposed to stay at this place for 2 nights. The weather in Croatia on sep 23 was really bad, there was heavy rain, thunder and even earthquakes. I arrived in Split at noon in the rain at the ferry station and the lady from the ticket office told me the ferries are not going because of the weather. I called the hostel twice, sent them a message on FB messenger and an email, the calls were not answered, they never bothered to call back and I didn't receive a reply until almost 2 hours later...

Things I liked: They organise a lot. I met nice people. Hvar is beautiful. Day-staff is kind. Things I hated: Someone (I didn't know) vomited on the edge of the top bunkbed I was in. The nightwatch, who didn't speak any English besides telling people to shut up, refused to help me with the cleaning. The next day people where having sex in my room (8p-dorm). Guess I was unlucky with my roommates, I heard other people having the time of their lives. No more party-hostels for me.

The rooms had AC, which was a lifesaver! However, I didn’t expect ONE shower and ONE toilet for the entire upstairs floor.

Dink’s place is the most social hostel I’ve ever been to. They really try to make your stay unforgettable by organising socials everyday. The atmosphere is lovely and super safe. The only reason for not giving 10 rating is the cleanliness of the room. I stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm. The room smells humid 24*7. The blankets provided were not the cleanest as I could see hair on it. I loved my stay here because of the social aspect and homeliness. I would recommend staying here

Dink’s Place had the best atmosphere of any hostel that I’ve been to. The staff were great at their job, but were also friendly and willing to get to know you. The rooms were safe and clean. They also provided guided excursions, which were amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough.

BEST HOSTEL EVER!! This place is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is so fun and the staff is amazing. Special mention to George!! The place is clean and safe. They also upgraded our room which was so sweet. The hostel has daily activities and the coolest crowd. Quiet time is at 10 but they have a pub crawl every night if that’s what you are into:) honestly could not recommend this place or people more. 10/10 stay.

This hostel has super fun vibes! The wonderful volunteers plan an afternoon and nighttime outing each day which really creates a good community. During our stay, George, Gabe, and Carly were super helpful with providing recommendations for the best things to do in Hvar. They helped make our stay great! We also met the owner, Dink, who was very nice and friendly!

I stayed in Dink’s place for only one night while visiting other places on Hvar Island, and I already regret my decision — I wish I had stayed longer! I had so much fun with the other travelers and the amazing staff. Spending time on the terrace with the mesmerizing sunset views truly made my day. I also appreciated the hostel’s rules and respect for quiet sleeping hours after 10 PM, which created a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Highly recommended!

Incredible experience overall. From the moment I checked in, Carly had a great orientation prepared and I felt immediately welcomed. George and Gabriel were wonderful social coordinators, ensuring everyone felt included throughout their stays and always had fun activities planned. The rooms are clean and are well maintained. Very social hostel - I would highly recommend. Had a great stay and can't wait to be back!

Loved my stay here! The check-in was very informative and made everything easy. The hostel has such a family vibe and the daily social activities made it very easy to meet people. The scooter trip around the island was definitely a highlight of my trip. Would 100% stay again :)

I’ve stayed in a couple of hostels in Hvar and this one is my favourite! It’s a 5/10 min walk from the main centre but I loved it cos it has great views of the sea and a great chill outside space. It’s a nice social vibe and they organise activities and stuff so it’s easy to meet people. Also the rooms are comfortable, it’s next to a shop, and there’s a kitchen so you can cook if you want too! I loved my stay here i wouldn’t stay anywhere else !!!

I had an amazing stay here. The location is perfect, close to everything but still quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help with local tips. The dorms were spotless and the beds were actually comfortable! I’ll definitely be back. Tarik 😉

Best hostel ever! I’d highly recommend staying at Dink’s while visiting Hvar. The hostel itself is the perfect size and very social. It’s also super clean, easy to get to and in an ideal location, close to town for convenience, but far enough that it’s quiet at night. The staff really make the experience. Brilliant Hostel. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and create a great atmosphere. George and Carly were great at organising activities whilst giving us some helpful tips of how to get round the Island. Would definitely recommend visiting!

The staff is very nice and the rooms are clean with under the bunk lockers. It’s a bit farther from town than I would like. The kitchen also was locked until maybe 9 until someone asked and there’s no one at reception during the off season in the morning and evening.
