Mind Day Hostel Khaosan

I’m from America. There’s definitely bed bugs there. I’ll have to wash everything now before going home, so I don’t bring bed bugs with me. Shower conditions are terrible too. Ended up checking out early.

Per mi, exageradament brut. Em sembla que al llit hi havia alguna “Bed-bug”. Les dutxes estaven bé, tenien bona pressió d’aigua. L’hostal era molt fosc, no és gens com a les fotos. No vaig tenir cap interacció amb ningú, perquè la sala comuna no t’incita a quedar-t’hi. Això sí, el noi de recepció era agradable.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I don’t understand how hostelworld gave this a 10 on everything and I got trapped into booking this…. Most dirty place ever (mind you i slept in a private room) there were bedbugs and mold everywhere. Would never stay here again…

Love to climb the high staircase which is a great way to exercise, feeling safe at night that I am not alone when listening to beautiful curtain sound and light besides me shine that open light to my world, I felt highly skill after opening the 2 magic showering tap, Enjoy my very own bought breakfast, owner is super helpful and friendly, I even saw the owner help a lady to carry a super large suitcase to the stair by himself, No dancing Bed Bug, Smell amazing and affordable, picture vs reality is the same

Bed bugs are there, just think about it in advance

The location and staff are great, however, I am not convinced they change the bed sheets between stays!! Our beds looked like someone had just rolled out of them that morning… pretty sure they have a bed bug problem? Had to sleep in a full tracksuit…

BED BUGS in bed 408. The worst thing is how they dealt with it. They did not want anyone to find out about it. They did not clear the room to solve the problem. No refunds where given and no help to clean my stuff. They just handed me a steamer and told me to steam my bag.

Overall a very good hostel for the cost. Would recommend checking your bed for bed bugs though. After finding one I asked to move bed and it was then not a problem. Location is great, close to Khaosan Road but not too close that it’s loud. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Avoid if you can. Better options in the area for similar prices. Bed bugs was the main issue for us. Foul smell throughout the building which stays on ALL clothes for a few days. There also soo many strange noises throughout the night. Worst sleep we’ve had travelling. We were meant to stay two nights but left after one No craic about the place either. Probably because everyone else is annoyed about bed bugs and the smell Location is perfect, can’t deny that. Although not anywhere near metro lines.

BED BUGS!! Do not stay. We had a pretty unpleasant stay in Mind Day Hostel, there is horrible odour wafting through the entire hostel the shower water smells of ammonia and the handles and fixtures are in the toilets/showers were more or less all faulty or broken. We also found bed bugs in 2 of 3 beds, we went straight down to reception with photos and asked to be moved, we were moved but asked to leave our bags in the room infested with bed bugs for the night, putting them at risk of being infested. The next day we realised all 3 of us had been badly bitten, we asked for a refund to compensate us having to wash all of our clothes but we were refused and laughed at. They also showed little care to solve the issue and put people straight into our infested beds the next morning. Do not stay here.

Do not go to this hostel under any circumstances, the hostel was infest with bed bugs and when alerted to the the problem they seemed very relaxed and changed us to a bed up one floor but left everyone else in the room after we asked for a discount so we could wash our clothes the man at the desk laughed at us also after leaving our bites got infected overall a horrible experience.

Really bad. So many bed bugs and over all dirty. When we reported it to them they did not care, they said they clean them but only clean one bed in a dorm at a time. The place smelled. Not good. Would give 0 stars if possible as that is even to generous. They would not even refund us our money after we got so many bites from the bed bugs. They wouldn’t give us money to wash our clothes either.

Picture in Agoda looks decent but the actual hostel is different. Pro : Good location, near to Khaosan road. Just a few meters walk to Khaosan Road Cons : - First impressions, there's some smell when enter the lobby/counter. Smell like wet shoes or clothes that is not dry - Messed up my booking, me & my friends booked a total of 4 beds in 6 bedded female dorm, but they only gave us 3 in female dorm & 1 in 12 beds mixed dorm. They said there's system problem and the female dorm left with only 3 beds. - BED BUGS! All of us woke up with bed bugs bite. One of us got bitten seriously at the back, arms & even face. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS SERIOUSLY

Everything is good, but they have a bed bugs I went to stay there a night(not a tourist I stayed there cause i went to drink around there and it got late so cant possibly got it from somewhere lese)woke up with all the bed bugs bites all over me..
