Nutz Backpackers

I called them for an hour since I am backpacking. No one answered. When I got there it was stranded. The person came and they didn’t know anything about my booking. Took us upstairs, and than cleaned the room. When we got it after 20 minutes it was dirty, there were hairs on the blankets they provided. When after an hour we tried to go out- all the doors were locked. Instantly decided to change the location. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

No atmosphere, nice common area has potential. Beds rock solid. Staff didn't speak English. Would've given an ok review but was shocked in the morning when saw I was locked in w a big PADLOCK on the only exit. I spent ages looking for staff so I could get out & catch my flight. Eventually found them on the rooftop. Totally ILLEGAL in my country for good reason. So DANGEROUS in emergency especially in a place w India's fire regularity. Not okay to risk staff & customers lives. GET A PROPER DOOR

The place and staff is really good and helpful. Govind and Lallu are very polite and always ready to help. Location is little far from the golden temple as streets get pretty deserted around 8 or 9 PM. But, having no free water (purifier/RO) is not acceptable. Also, having no-AC time during summers is pretty absurd. But may be that's what we lose on this price point.

We (my friend and I) arrived late and they accepted to do the check-in later, so for this we were grateful. They also responded quickly on WhatsApp. However, at our arrival, the staff did not really care about us. The beds were as hard as the ground and our roommates made noises during the whole night without any respects for people sleeping. The next day, the common areas smelled cigarettes. We arrived by night and the surroundings are not reassuring so we were a bit fearful.

The stay was very good... The rooms and washroom was very clean and staff was very helpful... Thumbs-up

An enjoyable stay in a bustling city. Hostel is about a 15-minute walk to the Golden Temple easily the main attraction in the city. Nutz is the name of the owner. He was very helpful and friendly with a strong command of English which was a challenge for most otherwise. Well done, Nutz, you're a good guy.

wonderful atmosphere inside the hostel.. interior is very attractive, staff is helpful, always there for your help.

Very happy with the staff, they treat us well and the managers available are also very sweet. Too happy with the stay.

Good budget stay in Amritsar. Value for money. Very close by to the golden temple. Staff is very helpful and supportive. They also offer laundry services. Overall a good stay. Can recommend. They allow families as well
