Maenam Grand Hostel

Was the only one in the entire hostel. Huge storm at night and it rained into the room. Do not recommend especially for female solo travellers.

This hostel scammed me! I had to leave 500 baht as a deposit when i checked in and I didn‘t get it back when i checked out. After that they blocked my phone number and ignored the e-mails i sent them. Very upsetting and unprofessional!

Toilets and shower areas dirty, floor sticky with wee, bins not empty, surfaces not cleaned down, bed sheets not changed, this has been the worse place I've stayed in.

they made me pay double the price to extend the room for a night. there was also no water and my key card to get back into the hostel didn't work. So I was locked out at night time.

Opzich was de kamer prima, alleen moest het beddengoed wel verschoond worden toen we binnen kwamen want hier zaten allemaal vlekken op. Houdt er ook rekening mee dat er weinig tot vrijwel geen personeel is voor boekingen, transfer ect

We had a private single and while this was nice, the AC was terrible, it ended up being cooler outside so we were forced to sleep with the window wide open and got bitten to shreds. Good value but not if you want a cool nights sleep. The vibe was very good however, with lots of people in the common space.

It’s just a bit far from everything but otherwise a good stay. Didn’t find it too good for socialising but other that that nice and clean :)

We stayed in a private room, and it was very big with plenty of space. The floor was very dirty you couldn’t see it, but our feet got almost completely black underneath. bathrooms were nice and bathrooms were good, massive spider webs in the communal area, 1 min walk from a 7/11. good for one night

The hostel was very clean and the bathroom stalls are door to ceiling so very private. It is in an awkward location not very close to much. The door can be opened by anyone from the street but the room doors had a key, although the door slammed very loudly. The only sheet we were given was a blanket. Good storage facilities and the option to do laundry too, but no kitchen facilities. Hardly ever saw any staff. Not a very social hostel but it’s good if you need to take a second to yourself

Very cozy rooms! Not social at all and not a good location unless you want to be close to the pier! Friendly staff :)

Good hostel

not Easy to find but nice, near Pier for ferry

Not enougth light in where mirrow in bathroom. Maybe can say little lound at night becaus is where on the main street.

Very close to the speedboat harbor, nice personnel, clean rooms and showers, very cheap and super nice to stay at. I had an 8 people dorm to myself and i asked myself why? This hostel is really great, especially if you need a night to relax before moving on to koh tao or other islands nearby!

It’s fine but you’ll need to rent a scooter for this location. Good for a day maybe two but it’s got plenty of room and is otherwise generally forgettable

Nice spot to stay but theres not really much going on in the hostel. Luckily for me, people id met on my trip were staying here otherwise id think it was a bit of a lonely place.. Close to the nice Maenam area and not far from the busier areas. Hostel rooms were very good. Not much of a staff presense. Dont stay here if you want a social atmosphere.

Good hostel, provides key cards curtains and lights at the beds and nice balcony in the common area.

Fijn en schoon hostel. Bedden en kamers zijn fijn. Niet heel veel faciliteiten

Great stay everything you need

Great hostel very clean and spacious rooms (we were in a private room) Location is quiet but able to access places by scooter. Bed linen and towels were replaced mid stay. Good facilities for washing. Walking distance to a beach and some nice restaurants👍🏼

Had a private room with en suite & it was HUGE, had sofa and full wall of windows and enormous comfy bed. Struggled to get in initially as had to go to jewellers next door to get key which wasn’t clear. He was very nice though once I did figure it out. I didn’t see another member of staff or another guest whole time. I was there for quiet reset night so was good for that 😌 thank you !
