Bed bugs!! My friend and I aroved after 3pm on 26th January for a three night stay and our beds were not ready. We waited an hour or so and when we finally got checked in, we had beds with blood stained sheets/hairs etc. asked for the sheets to be changed and staff didn’t seem to bothered. The next morning we found bed bugs crawling the bunks and lockers. Reported to staff immediately with videos and photos. It didn’t seem to surprise or, again, bother staff. Selina Atitlan had nice facilities but my room had bugs in it. I also managed to be eaten alive by bed bugs? They’re also doing construction on the street to the dock so every day from 9am-5:30pm is extreme construction noises. I stayed there for 2.5 days and they could not seem to book a massage for me which was disappointing. Another traveler had her food items and beer stolen by an employee, whom she caught red handed. You’re better off staying in San Marcos as it’s a central location on the lanchas. Wouldn’t este your money.
