Inkas Garden Hostel

The room had obviously not been cleaned and was dirty. When we entered together with the host he quickly removed some empty bottles but left a used cup and other trash behind. He also quickly rearranged the pillow and blanket on the bed - together with the overall untidiness of the room this left us wondering as to when the bedding was last washed. One hour before check-out time he entered our room without knocking, surprising my boyfriend naked in the bathroom.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly female staff (sorry I forgot her name). Unfortunately she barely spoke english, hence through whatsapp the comunication went smoothly. The pictures here on hostelworld are old and don't resemble real life at all. The garden is a mess and the room we got smelled like sewage, bedsheets weren't clean and just the whole room was in a bad shape. It also didn't really feel like a safe neighbourhood during the night so we switched hostels on the same day.

It was so dirty, that we left after 5 minutes and went to another hostel ...

Terrible! 5 nights booked and left a night early. Shower worked once the whole time we were there. There is also a (assumed) long term guest, above our room who was very loud each night, on the last night we asked him to be quiet, he acted very aggressive, giving us death threats and threatened us with the police. We ended up having to leave at 11:30pm to find somewhere else to stay as we did not feel safe! The owner was drunk so did not help the situation, he reluctantly refunded us 40%

Propriétaire sympathique, mais manque de propreté dans les endroits communs, cuisine très sale, aliments périmés dans le réfrigérateur. Avons eu des problèmes avec la toilette (devions aller dans la toilette à l’extérieure de la chambre) et la douche (bonne pression seulement le matin). 2km à pied du centre. Par contre, vraiment pas cher si vous avez un budget serré!

Recently booked here for 4 nights but ended up only staying 1, here's why. The owner (Gabriel) seems like a nice enough guy but unfortunately our room was not clean when we got there. There was left over sh*t tickets still in the toliet bin, the shower was dirty and I swear there were some bed bugs. This would have been acceptable to a certain point in my book as it is cheap but unfortunately that night he got absolutely blind drunk and woke us up at 12am and 330am. Go elsewhere if you can.

We picked this place because it was cheap, so I tried hard to not have high expectations, but in the end we left early because the water shut off completely two nights in a row, and the whole place was quite dirty (ex. Cat was fed on the counter and made a gross mess). When the water shut off, we could not even use the toilets, which was a big problem that there was no good solution for. Angel was very understanding and kind to us during our stay, we wish him the very best!

The price and the location are good but thats about it. We didnt have running water two days out of the 5 days we stayed which meant we couldnt even flush the toilet. The first excuse was that there were works happening in the area, the second time they told us there is no water on sundays because everyone in cusco is at home so the water runs out fast. The shower was not clean with scum everywhere, holes in the sheets and alot of dogs barking throughout the whole night next door.

For the price I paid I didn’t expect much, but the shower didn’t work at all during my stay and that really made it a poor experience. First I was told it just doesn’t work on Sundays, then it only works before 12, then that I need to shower at 8am for it to work… when none of these instructions worked I had to ask to shower in a different room, cold as well. Didn’t seem they were bothered to fix this either.

Hostel simplemente perfecto para disfrutar de la hermosa ciudad de cusco. La ubicacion es muy estrategica porque está cerca del centro pero en un area bien tranquila y mas local. La amabilidad de Gabriel nos hizo volver...nos sentimos cuidados y como en casa desde el primer dia. El precio tambien es muy onesto. En general lo recomendamos a todos los viajeros que quieren acercarce a la cultura cusqueña de forma simple y verdadera.

Tuve un viaje para desconectar y relajarme, encontré el hotel a un precio bastante accesible; la ubicación excelente cerca a todo lo que necesitas plaza de armas, bancos, supermercados; el personal fue bastante amable nos ayudó a instalarnos a ubicarnos y encontrar tours para conocer la ciudad; los ambientes son muy cálidos puedes desconectar del estrés y compartir momentos inolvidables, lo recomiendo al 100%. Te brindará todo lo que necesitas y saldrás renovado

It was cheap and nice beds and nice bathroom in the room I had. The kitchen is dirty and not really usable. The fridge is warm.

Nice and quiet hostel, full kitchen and a cozy common area. The owner is very nice and accommodating and the vibe is very laid back.

A really nice place 15 min away from the most touristic area, Gabriel made my stay really nice, was really helpful and nice to chat with!

My staying here was great! Everything was clean, there was hot water in the shower for the cold and also Gabriel was very helpful with informations and everything else I needed! Totally recommend it.

Mi experiencia en Inkas Garden fue absolutamente maravillosa. Desde el primer momento, Gabriel, nos recibió con una calidez y amabilidad que hicieron que nos sintiéramos como en casa. Siempre estuvo atento a cada detalle, dispuesto a ayudar y a brindar recomendaciones útiles para aprovechar al máximo nuestra estadía. El hospedaje tiene una ubicación excelente, cerca de todo lo necesario, pero lo suficientemente tranquilo como para descansar sin interrupciones. El ambiente es acogedor, limp...

Me gustó mucho mi habitación, era amplia con buena iluminación y con lo necesario para pasar unos días. El hospedaje está ubicado a unos 15 minutos caminando de la Av. Sol, a sólo unos 5 minutos más de la Plaza Mayor. También está muy cerca de los transportes para visitar el Valle Sagrado, zona turística de visita imprescindible en Cusco

Un Hostel muy bonito, todas las instalaciones están limpias, es la primera opción que busco cada vez que llego a Cusco, la atención del dueño es de altísimo Nivel. Tiene habitaciones muy cómodas, muy recomendado.

For the price of a private you it’s ideal especially if you need peace for self morning tours, the owner is not present but very available over WhatsApp and friendly to approach, the view is also quite nice. However the location is quite out of town, locals walk through to get to their homes which can be unsettling to travellers, and the facilities are bellow par, the shower doesn’t work and all the kitchen has is a kettle and barely any utensils, bowls and plates.

Gabriel made me feel like I was family. He's always ready to help or to accomodate. Liked my stay there.

Very kind and helpful owner, does the wash for you. Even got chocolate with banana as a dessert once😍 In Cusco there are often water problems, but you can always whatsapp the owner and he helps to open an extra water tank.

Really liked it here. We even got our own kitchen till our surprise. The owner was always available if you needed anything! Liked the stay here

Nice Hostel in Cusco, a bit away from the Center but perfect location (you wont hear traffic in the night). Nice Garden & super friendly staff (Gabriel is a helpful and friendly owner)!

Buena onda, prolijo, con espacios comunes. Recomendable.

Es mí segunda vez en el hospedaje y siempre es una alegría volver a Cusco y en especial al Inkas Garden. Lo recomiendo a todos mis amigos viajeros....
