Ukukus Hostel

In tegenstelling tot de review op Hostelworld, Onze bedden waren niet verschoond, ik vond zelfs haren in mijne en bloedvlek op laken. Daarnaast werd ons verteld dat we alleen tussen vier en acht uur in de ochtend zouden kunnen douchen omdat de stad een waterprobleem had, , ( had geen ander hostel last van) dan kom je net aan en wil ff lekker opfrissen…. De kamer stonk muf Kortom nee dus, we konden niet douchen en/ of toilet doorspoelen. Vieze bedden en stinkende kamer.

Other hostels nearby are better! Good security and location, however, breakfast cleaniness and staff could be improved on. Staff wanted to charge 10 soles on checkout day for taking a shower…

Me and the other guys in the room couldn’t fit in the upper beds they wanted us to sleep in They were almost touching the ceiling The building infrastructure or architecture is not slightly as nice of most hostels in Cusco and the guy at the reception was always rude/ passively aggressive when you were asking for something he couldn’t sell to you, possibly making you wait to check in or tell you were the shower was till he almost sold some tour to someone.

Not a good stay. On arrival the host told us that the hostel had no water so we couldn’t shower, use the toilet etc and didn’t provide any water for us to drink (we booked that day so should have been notified). When we were shown to our room it stank of urine and you could hear some sort of rodent above your head, however we were moved to a nicer room. Hostel tres correct. Ambiance plutôt lugubre. C’est assez sombre partout et les lumières sont bien blanches. Le dej était agréable. Le personnel gentil, mais sans plus. Les lits relativement confortables. Tout était bof, mais pas horrible. La cuisine était toujours sale par contre.

Nice breakfast, nice room, mostly hot showers, very quiet, good if you want some rest! They let me switch to a nicer room when I asked which was nice, but *very* cold (the majority of the hostel is open air) and the weirdest vibe I’ve ever encountered in a hostel. Unfriendly long term guests that seem to live there, girl at desk hangs out with her friends so you feel like you’re bothering her, front desk empty very often. They clean the rooms like a hotel which is nice but I found forgotten ...

We chose this hostel because of the kitchen that was advertised. Although the kitchen was big it was dirty, full of rotting food and the hob is a two ring camping stove with broken legs. There was no hot water the four nights we were there despite 24 hour hot water advertised, and the dorm rooms were absolutely freezing. The location is ok but you could do a lot better closer to the main square or in San Blas.

No me gusto. El WiFi no servia, el agua para bañarse era fría y aveces super caliente. No había jabón para lavarse las manos en el baño, y el personal era mas o menos.

Estoy muy bien el Hostel, limpia y orden, lo malo que nunca pude conectarme al wifi de mi habitación a pesar que me habían dado la contraseña, no sé si solo yo tuve ese problema o también los demás inquilinos del Hostel , al final solo pude conectarme al wifi de la cocina común y con los demás no hubo ningún tipo de problema.

El hostal es muy grande, tiene muchas terrazas para relajarse y una grande área común cerca de la cocina. Personal muy disponible. Las habitaciones tenían un olor raro pero todo estaba limpio y las duchas eran bien calientes!!

Place is ok for price, avoid booking tours here...expensive and too many 'shop stops'. Reception staff were friendly

Local súper tranquilo, e super ben localizado na parte central histórica da cidade. Eles tambem oferecem tour e fui para Machu Picchu súper tranquilo. Recomendo.

Cheap private room, good to have a kitchen but didn’t feel the cleanest, not a particularly sociable hostel, I was working whilst there but wifi wasn’t the best for video calls and kitchen area was quite noisy (fair enough as it’s not meant to be a coworking space)

Decent stay but the beds in our dorm had no light or plug socket next to the bed. Good kitchen though and good location

nice hostel. kitchen was a bit dirty. private rooms with private bathrooms were nice, one had a little mold. very calm, spacey and nice rooms otherwise

The WiFi didn’t quite reach our room. Other than that, quite a nice hostel.

Good value-for-hostel, hot showers and 24h reception which was really great and staff was helpful. The private 3-person bedroom was nice but the roof was way too low, you can’t stand over the bed if your taller than 160 cm, and we bumped our heads repeatedly in the bathroom because the roof was so low. Beds are semi-clean with white spots on one of our duvets. Breakfast is terrible (and the service at breakfast not much better) so don’t waste your time or appetite.

Nice hostel with good common areas. We ended up extending our stay for quite a while. However the kitchen was pretty dirty…

I stayed for 10 nights and it was wonderful! The location is very close to San Pedro Market, a 10-15 min walk from Plaza de Armas, but the area is SO CHEAP you can get menu del dia for 7 soles. The only annoying thing was how it took so long to get a working fridge. The kitchen also needs some more pans and stuff, but you can still make it work. Breakfast is nice (bread, fruit, juice, coffee, tea). It's limited to one tray and don’t show up much later than 9am or they may run out of bread.

great hostel in Cusco at a great location close to the centre and market. Nice staff and free luggage storage when you go trekking

Unser Doppelzimmer war sehr sauber und wir hatten immer warmes Wasser. Das Personal ist super hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. Leider hat das Internet in unserem Zimmer nicht gut funktioniert dafür in den anderen Bereichen sehr gut. Die Küche war etwas schmutzig.

Super nice breakfast and kitchen. Easy to meet people if you hang out in the common areas. So nice cleaners who cleaned the rooms every night

Amazing hostel! Colorful and bright with two terraces to sit and enjoy. Lovely breakfast of scrambled eggs with bread and jam/cheese/avocado and some fruits. Daily cleaning and good showers. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful, especially Siomara was amazing, even becoming a good friend during my stay ❤️ Rooms are made for Peruvian size, so watch your head ;)

Pour moi le meilleur établissement rapport qualité/prix a Cusco ! Le personnel est super aimable, les lits sont très confortables, tout était très propre. J’y retournerais sans hésiter!
