   The hotel is a good hotel for the price, the bedrooms are okay and not dirty. The problem is that one morning, i wake up and i don’t have any clothes, my closet is empty. I go to the reception and ask, the lady, verry unpolite had a look and say she take a lot of time and then she said that they can’t do anything for me. I insist she said it’s impossible they took the clothes. And then someone in my room told me that she saw a staff member take my clothes. I go back talking to the lady. And then she magically found my clothes in the staff space. She never said sorry and acted the whole time like I was annoying her. As we can see in the review, they do that often. The staff guy in the morning is good.

   DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL COST! READ BELOW: LATEST UPDATE: Update: I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter. The BBB reports that it made several attempts to contact the business but did not receive a response and closed the case as an Unanswered Complaint. EDIT/Response to owner: Thank you for responding. I did reach out directly and received a detailed reply from management outlining your position. The concern remains the lack of notice and the handling of her belongings prior to de-escalation. We are continuing to address this through appropriate consumer-mediation channels. Original review: A friend of mine, an international guest, had one prepaid night remaining on her reservation. When she returned to the hostel, she found her belongings removed from her room and placed outside without warning. Staff told her she was being expelled due to alleged food in the room. She did not have food in the room, was not given an opportunity to explain, and was not allowed to speak with a supervisor. We contacted management to resolve this privately and received no response after nearly 48 hours. I have now sent a follow up email and expect a reply within 24 hours. Removing a paying guest’s belongings and forcing them out without notice is unacceptable, especially for an international traveler.

   I stayed there and, honestly, it was the worst experience of my life. On the first day, they refused to give me access to my room, claiming that only the person who made the reservation could pick up the keys (even with my name in the reservation). I arrived at 3 a.m., and my friend—who had made the reservation—was already asleep. The front desk attendant literally told me, “Okay, then sit there and wait until she wakes up to open the door for you.” After a lot of arguing, she finally unlocked the door for me. On the last day of my trip, I stayed there again and left my luggage at the reception while I went out for lunch. The staff said the bags were not mine and started making a scene, saying I would be charged an extra fee (there were three suitcases). I calmly explained that my friends were with me and would take my luggage with them since they had a car, and that it would be unsafe for me to walk around alone with all the bags. I explained that I would only keep my personal item with me. Everything was clearly explained, and they said they understood. The next day, during checkout, they charged me a fee. I asked for a receipt, and the manager, Maria, refused to provide one. I told her that without a receipt, I would not pay. At that point, I started recording because they were being extremely rude to me. Then she said she would call the police, which made absolutely no sense. I am an immigrant, she probably assumed I was undocumented and she thought I would be afraid of her calling the police. She also made an extremely racist comment, saying that “this is typical Brazilian behavior.” When the police arrived, they took my side and instructed her to provide the receipt. She then issued a receipt with the wrong amount on it. Completely dishonest and racist behavior.

   The staff was unfriendly and did not care at all. I was the only girl in a dorm with 7 men. Everything was fine until one of them came back completely drunk around 4 a.m. and got into my bed while I was already sleeping !! I was unable to move him, I went to the front desk for help, the staff refused to do anything. As a result, I couldn’t even sleep in the bed that I paid for. This situation felt unsafe and was handled very poorly. The hostel is also very outdated with no kitchen.

   I’d give this place a zero if I could. My sheets were covered in Sharpie drawings of flowers and butterflies. When I arrived, there was a random $50 charge that was not mentioned on Hostelworld, and I wasn’t the only traveler shocked by it. Other travelers were dealing with the same issue. The common room closes at 9 p.m., which is ridiculous. The staff knows the way they are running the place is sketchy, and you can feel it in their energy. I even tried making casual bar conversation my first night and asked the bartender what there is to do in Miami, and he told me Miami is super boring. That is the last thing you want to hear as a traveler. It’s clear they hate their jobs, and the energy in this place is awful. Do not book here. When I was checking out, the overnight desk guy was checking in another traveler and was extremely rude to her. I checked out six hours early and chose to sit at the airport rather than spend any more time there. I stayed at Viajero Hostel, which is about 10 minutes away, and it was a thousand times better, especially for girls traveling here. The only plus about this place is that it’s two minutes from the beach.

    I would not recommend this place if you’re a Black traveler. The treatment here is noticeably different. The attitude and the energy shift the moment you walk in. And it’s not just me — you can ask any Black person who has stayed here. There is a pattern. I came all the way from California — flew 3,000 miles — and even bought a car here to drive back. I showed my boarding pass and all my information. I did everything by the book. And they still made the process difficult, inconvenient, and disrespectful. The room had a sour smell, they asked for a $50 deposit that was never disclosed, and they overcharged on top of that. Instead of hospitality, they gave attitude and resistance. The whole experience felt like they were trying to make it as hard as possible for me to stay here. It was inconsiderate and unnecessary. If you’re thinking about staying in South Beach: Do your research first. Pull up and ask to see the room before you book anything. Make sure the energy is right. Honestly, I recommend staying off South Beach altogether. There are plenty of places nearby where the vibe is better, the prices are fair, and the staff treat you like a human being. South Beach might look good on the surface, but the experience is not worth the disrespect. They really do give Black people a hard time. Period.

    I’ll start with the good, as there’s not much. The location is nice, just a couple minute walk to the beach. The rooms are clean for a hostel. There’s a cute little bar right as you walk in and the bartenders are very nice and attentive and clearly enjoy what they do. Now the bad. Mind you, I stayed at Beds n Drinks in mid September. It is November and I am still having issues with them. This place is absolute hell service wise. Booking online or in person. I booked a room for myself and my partner on Hostelworld (HW) for four nights and upon arrival, they claimed to have only one person on the booking. After showing them that I had the booking information readily available, all paid for, they tried to claim that since HW was a third party booking site, there was nothing they could do. They then printed me a receipt of what information they had on their end, which was the same total I had for two people. Upon pointing this out, they tried to backtrack and print me a different receipt with different information. Up until this point I had been polite, I understand that sometimes things can get mixed up, but switching up payment information in front of my face is unacceptable. I then asked if I could use the reservation for me that they did have and book again in person for my partner to which they agreed. I had originally booked the two of us in a mixed dormitory, but they said that they did not have room for my partner in the same room as me as it had already been booked. Upon inquiring about that, it was in fact, booked under my name. They did not honor this, so I ended up having to give the mixed dormitory reservation to my partner and booking the room for myself as a women’s only dorm, which of course, was an up charge and another deposit on top of the two I had already paid. Mind you, they do not accept cash and will only charge cards with the same name of the person on the booking, so at this point I am out hundreds of dollars. Once all MY booking hassle was done, I watched multiple others jump through the same or very similar hoops. The front desk is absolutely encouraged to play dumb to up charge people. Once you leave, you are supposed to receive your deposit back which is $50/person, so $150 in my case. I never received any of that money back. I waited a few days after leaving to call them and was told that it can take some time for the deposit to go through, and to wait a few more days to call back. I waited a few more days and my call would not go through. I then emailed them threatening to flame them online if this does not get sorted out, to which they responded practically immediately asking for my booking numbers. They said to wait up to four days and they would get it sorted out. It has still not been sorted out. At this point, I don’t care about the money. It’s the principle. This place is run horribly by scammers. It’s ridiculous that they are still in business as I was not the only one in the few days I stayed there that went through something like this, in fact, three of the four nights I was there, the police were called over other booking disputes. Absolutely do not recommend this place. Protect your wallet. Go to a different hostel! Do not let them ruin your stay.

    They play the same songs on repeat for hours lol they literally don't know how their music system works. Great location, lots of stores nearby, five minute walk from the beach, and that's all the positives I can think of. The staff is rude, constant glares. The cops were called here two or three days out of the four days of our stay because the staff wouldn't honor bookings made online. I had the same issue but I told them what they're doing is illegal and they suddenly could honor our booking we made. The staff are clearly told to do their best to get as much money for rooms as they can. The laundry facility says $2 for wash $2 for the dryer but it charges you $8 when you pay, no option for cash. You also can't book with cash, they take a $50 deposit per person and I'm not convinced we're getting that back. Extremely shady stuff going on here, I saw at least ten people complaining to front desk about being charged more than they were told it would be. Do not stay here, I'd give zero stars if I could.

    This place is absolutely disgusting. The rooms and common areas are dirty and smell terrible. The service is even worse – the staff are unprofessional, unfriendly, and completely unaccommodating. When I tried to get help, both the front desk and the general manager refused to even give me their names. That tells you everything you need to know about how shady and unprofessional this place is. On top of that, they charged me extra just for replacing a towel and even for storing my luggage. Completely ridiculous and a total money grab. Overall, the hostel is run poorly, it feels unsafe, and the people in charge clearly don’t care about guests. I will never come back here again, and I strongly recommend you do not waste your money at Beds N’ Drinks.

    They don’t tell you that you need to prove that you are not a Florida resident or that you need to produce proof of an airline ticket to leave Florida before they charge you for staying. Then it is too late. They won’t refund you. This is criminal behaviour. I’m seeking an attorney. I’m out a bunch of money due to fraud. Larceny. Also the resort fee and the 50 dollar security deposit are not mentioned. So plan on spending 100 in surprise fees. This place is a criminal enterprise. And they are lying when they say that the restrictions were made public when I made the reservation. I’m out the non refundable payment. They kept it in bad faith. Don’t make the mistake I made. Lots of other options in Miami.

    nothing! Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I had a deeply unpleasant experience at this hostel after missing a connecting flight and needing a place to stay overnight. I made a booking around 1 AM, but upon arrival, the staff member on duty, Natasha, was extremely rude and confrontational from the outset. She did not recognize my reservation and aggressively demanded to know where my bracelet was, without first verifying who I was or offering assistance. It turned out that the booking had defaulted to the following day—likely due to a system issue given the late hour. I calmly explained the situation and asked if there was any way to adjust the reservation or speak to a manager, especially since the hostel appeared to have availability. I was met with hostility and was told no help would be provided unless I made a new booking. Despite being visibly exhausted and only needing a few hours of rest before my 10 AM flight, I was denied any consideration. When I mentioned that I would leave a review describing the treatment I received, the staff member escalated the situation by yelling, refusing to accommodate me even with a second paid booking, and eventually calling the police. At that point, I began recording the interaction due to the increasingly aggressive behavior. She even left the front desk and appeared to be ready to physically confront me, prompting me to leave immediately. Fortunately, the police who arrived were reasonable and reviewed my video, understanding the context. I was charged for a night I was not allowed to stay and treated in a completely unacceptable manner. Travelers—especially those arriving late or in stressful circumstances—should be aware that this hostel lacks professionalism, courtesy, and basic customer service. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against staying here.

Never seen someone soo greedy & both of the 2 receptionists are seriously so rude, they dont know how to talk to tired tourists coming at their hostel for stay. Been to so many countries but first time saw a hotel with such policies & greedy staff. Didnt even want to give 1 star they deserve zero star. They should understand from others point of view. But one of their hotel staff named paul helped me a lot at midnight & found me a hotel nearby which was even cheaper & better than this hostel.

    When checking in, I was greeted very nice. The lady was very friendly and helpful. The location was very good. It was near bus stops, shopping facilities and near the beach. The hostel itself is as you would expect from a hostel. Although there were some dirty spots and some drawings on the linnen and some dirt on the floor, it is overall what I expected. Be aware to wear flipflops tho. I got athletes foot within 2 or 3 days. So don't expect a nice, modern, and super clean room when booking this hostel. Although the checkin lady was very nice, the hospitality of the staff can improve overall. My keycard was stolen by another guest, but I had to pay for a new card. Also, when I asked a question, I noticed the receptionist rolling her eyes when she turned away.

    Me gusta mucho la ubicación excelente ubicación todo que cerca Lincoln Road, South Beach y la playa de Miami beach.. A una chava que estaba en la habitación le robaron y le sacaron todo de la habitación las personas de la limpieza tocaban las cosas que dejaban en las camas.. eso no me gusto la falta de respeto a las cosas de cada una. Y más si uno iba de compra lo dejaba sobre la cama yo vale más todo lo que compre lo deje en la mochila..

    Lounge is good but staff make sure you don’t know about it. They never explain any facility when you check in, so you have to figure for yourself. Location is ok Unfortunately the nice vibe I got about the place when I entered quickly changed when I dealt with their mostly rude and unprofessional staff at reception (except the odd poor nice one). They take offence if you ask any question like, do you have kitchen? Why you charged me extra fees even though my booking is inclusive of them? Why do you need more money if you change my towel? They suddenly become aggressive and rude and tell you to go elsewhere if you don’t like it! Some staff lack basic communication and listening skills and some with limited English (which is not an issue if they remain polite and gossip about you in Spanish with each other in front of you) If you decide to extend your stay they will make check out and leave your luggage out in storage, then to check in again! So you end up waiting for hours until afternoon only to queue again with new comers. Self-induced problems they create by being unreasonable and unaccommodating, and you always see a long queue at reception while one staff is working while other just wondering around doing nothing. Don’t be surprised if they just cancel your confirmed booking and giving you a random excuse. They add Resort fees to any booking you made even if your booking is inclusive of those, and they tell you go claim it from your booking provider. Website shows a kitchen but they say it’s broken and closed. You see endless list of rules about how should customers behave dotted around the place, yet most (not all though) of their own self-centred, rude and aggressive staff behave very poorly as if customers should be constantly grateful for paying wages to such staff. I suggest the they should simply look into the mirror and apply their own rules. Finally, I suggest go elsewhere to save yourself the drama.

    WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I would like to give a rating of 0 BUT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE! Beds and Drinks was the first hostel I stayed in my life, and a few years later, it will be the last! There is no more breakfast, they SHUT DOWN the kitchen, the bed linens are all different, with no standard, worn out and old, the bath towels are worn out, horrible, and each one is a different color. At this point, we can see that the only standard in this hostel is decay: old and DISGUSTING! And they still want to charge $20 if you lose that filthy towel! They don’t change the towels. Now the most shocking thing: THEY CUT A PILLOW IN HALF and give each guest one half! I took pictures of this because no one would believe it. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever had the misfortune of witnessing. The bathroom faucet was always broken, I had to ask for help twice, and both times there was no one at the reception, which they boast of being 24h... As soon as I arrived, I was treated terribly by one of the staff members, who was so aggressive that I feared for my physical safety. She yelled: “Not satisfied? Then leave!” A TRUE NIGHTMARE! I made the reservation with my friend, but we were placed in separate rooms. Everything is a complete mess, with no curtains on the beds for any privacy. There are also very few power outlets... Depressing, horrible. Everything is rusty, everything is old and very worn out! I believe they are going bankrupt; it would be more decent for them to just close their doors than to provide ONE pillow split in half! Here are some photos of the unbelievable! DO NOT RECOMMEND!     Worst Hostel Experience of My Life I stayed there for 7 days and couldn’t sleep a single night. Most of the guests aren’t travelers but workers with nowhere else to live who stay there long-term, as well as immigrants trying to remain in the country illegally. These long-term guests turn on the lights at 4/5 AM and make a lot of noise while getting ready to work, as if they were at their own home. Another major issue is the drunk and on drunks people who turn night into day. From 11 PM to 6 AM, they are constantly coming and going, climbing up and down the beds, eating, drinking, chatting, and even drinking and using d**** inside the room. To give you an idea, one day the police raided the hostel and arrested a guest. I didn’t feel safe sleeping there or leaving my belongings in the room since the lockers are too small to fit a backpack. Although most of the staff are friendly, they don’t seem to know how to handle the situation. I don’t blame them, but rather the management of the hostel. In short, don’t stay at this place.

    Great location and star was helpful and friendly. The water fountain was also greatly appreciated. There is no place where we are allowed to hang clothes to dry, it would have been appreciated. Also some time our clothes were taken from our room during cleaning instead of simply been put on a bed/common space of the bedroom.

    I’ve called up four times now about my security deposit, each time being told to call up again, on the second go a guy finally took my details, while laughing- as I told him to write it down. On the fourth go a lady said she had sorted the deposit but by the end of the call has told me to call up again in the morning so I can sort it all out. I stayed here from the 17th-20th August and it’s now the 5th September. If you want your deposit back don’t stay here

    Todos los comentarios negativos de aquí son reales. Llegando me cobraron otros 50 usd habiendo ya pagado que porque había reservado en una habitación de mujeres cuando eso no es cierto y que si no me gustaba que me fuera a pelear con Expedia, cobraron 20 usd por un deposito de llave y toalla que jamás regresaron, el cuarto estaba hecho un asco, la loseta del baño estaba rota y se estaba despegando, nadie limpia nada, el cuarto que me toco era mixto pensando que habia pagado uno para hombres, no te dejan meter nada de comida ni agua y su cocina esta cerrada siempre y de cocina no tiene nada, el personal grosero, clasico que contestan prepotente sin voltearte a ver, el lugar es una verguenza, deberian de demolerlo.

    I was declined a room, after my money was taken from me, and was told that because I had a Florida license from Fort Myers I was considered a "local" by the desk clerk. If that is there policy they should state it very clearly rather than "stealing" my hard earned money. Very unprofessional, and a definite display of shady business practices. Be careful with these people I would suggest they are into scamming customers.

    The staff tried really hard, the cleaner did a good job, convenient location if you’re doing things in south beach In theory the security system should work well - need a wrist band to enter the building and a swipe card to enter the room. I never wore my wristband and saw several random people come into our room who weren’t guests - not sure how. Some of my stuff was stolen from the room.     The location, price, and some people you get to meet. It was my second time in this hostel and overall, it was a good choice considering the price and a great location, but this time we were not lucky when it comes to one of the roommates (8 female dorm). Despite many claims from different roommates, not much was done to help us with the situation (the person was very loud, not PC, problems with hygiene, using our cosmetics, and other different situations). Also, my work ID got lost or stolen from my bed (I know, it should not be sitting there for even a minute, my bad). Other than that, the stay was ok and the staff rather helpful.

    I liked the proximity to the beach. -check in process was long-staff kept quoting different visa cards that weren't mine -Someone had taken my bed, and they said that they would charge the other person, but no helpful solutions were given to me -no elevator for accessibility -my bed was extremely shaky. I was on the top bunk, and any movement caused it to hit the wall, and make a large sound waking people up in the middle of the night. -the worst: on my second night, the cleaner thought that I had checked out, and removed my pajamas from my bed and put it somewhere. I asked the staff for help, and a lady came up to my room, checked, and said she would come back after checking elsewhere, but she never came back. I lost my pajamas.

The property is a joke, staff are incompetent and rude, check in is to wait all day, room was filthy not able to stay - on top of this, I waited to make report of rude staff to management, did not feel comfortable or safe, property was not up to standards of service. My stuff was stolen from storage room, after I was made to wait all day and was yelled at by reception complaining of her workload after waiting literally all day. I was disgusted and left, they still owe me. Incompetent staff and their audacity to ignore guests concerns, completely one sided, wasted my time and many. Many discrepancies with reception, they take 24hrs to reply to message and you have to wait all day to check in, no Manager on duty, staff are overworked and they complain to guests of themselves not liking their jobs. It was ridiculous. Never experienced such rudeness, couldn't wait to leave, didn't get refund, I will make sure to get it. Filed complained with booking and local police. Both told me they have terrible reputation, and they still owe me.

    Overall average stay. Location and price are only redeeming factors. Rooms are small and either boiling hot or freezing. Luckily had no issues with check in /out but seems like others did. Had a kitchen but sign saying it will be closed as of end of Jan ‘24. Why!!? My food got stolen 3 days in a row so be careful.. Laundry room available also.     Overall fine, mainly because of the price. Rooms are fine and facilities were cleaned. The 8 bed mixed room air con was terrible, room was either boiling or freezing. $20 deposit online is not the same as the deposit in person so be aware. Я предложил внести депозит с помощью смартфона( это тоже является моей картой так как я провожу авторизацию), но мне в категоричной форме было отказано, при том что вся моя бронь была уже списана этой же карты и для них это была не проблема. И все это происходило глубокой ночью. Меня выставили за дверь и не стали возвращать деньги которые они ранее списали уже за 6 дней . Это ужас!!! Решился вопрос когда за меня стал на ресепшин звонить мой друг гражданин США и разбираться в ситуации. И после этого меня только потом заселили. Одним словом вытрепали нервы, при том что к вам едут на отдых!!! Персонал зомби! Horrible hostel policy. When booking, all information about check-in conditions is not provided. Namely, I was denied check-in for the reason that I do not have a plastic bank card with my name on it to make a deposit of 20 dollars. I offered to make a deposit using a smartphone (this is also my card since I carry out authorization), but I was categorically refused, despite the fact that my entire reservation had already been charged to the same card and for them it was not a problem. And all this happened in the dead of night. They kicked me out the door and did not return the money that they had previously written off for 6 days. That's horrible!!! The issue was resolved when my friend, a US citizen, started calling the reception for me and sorting out the situation. And after that they only moved me in later. In a word, they frayed their nerves, despite the fact that they are coming to you on vacation!!! Zombie staff!

    I have made a reservation at your hostel for a specific date and have paid for the booking. However, when I arrived to check in, I was denied accommodation because I had already stayed with you too frequently recently. I was extremely surprised and disappointed by this turn of events, as I received no notification that my booking could be cancelled. Additionally, you charged me without warning of the possible cancellation of my reservation.

    Nothing, this hostel is a piece of garbage! WORST HOSTEL EVER!!!! NIGHT FUCKING MARE! DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE EVER... I BOOKED THIS FOR ONE MONTH AS I WAS TRAVELLING FOR WORK AND WANTED TO STAY AT ONE HOSTEL WITHOUT MOVING AROUND A LOT ..WORST MISTAKE.. I CHECKED IN ON NOV 1, THEY OFFERED ME AN OPTION TO REDUCE THE STAY TO 15 DAYS AS THEIR POLICY DOESN'T ALLOW SOMEONE TO STAY FOR A MONTH INSPITE OF GETTING MY PAYMENT FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH, I asked them to let me stay for a month as I already paid and didn't want to move out after 2 weeks! THE ROOM WAS TINY, NO OPEN WINDOWS ,NO AIR, NO SUNLIGHT, HORRIBLE BATHROOMS AND COLD SHOWERS! THE BUNK BEDS MOVE A LOT AND YOU CAN NEVER SLEEP WELL. NO PLACE TO SIT AND WORK! I SOMEHOW SURVIVED 2 WEEKS AND FELL IN DEPRESSION AS THE ROOM WAS PATHETIC! ON NOV 15, I DECODED TO MOVE OUT. THE RECEPTIONIST IS UNTRAINED AND TOOK MY KEY CARD, BED NUMBER METAL PLATE AND CONFIRMED I AM CHECKEDOUT AND SHOULD BE GETTING MY REFUND ON 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS HOWEVER AFTER WAITING FOR 5 BUSN DAYS WHEN I DID REACH OUT TO THE HOSTEL IN PRRSON, ANOTHER RECEPTIONIST SAID I AM NOT ON THEIR SYSTEM HENCE NOT CHECKED OUT AND WILL NOT GET ANY REFUND. THE DIRECTOR JOSIE IS THE WORST WOMAN AND HAS ZERO MANNERS!!! TRAIN YOUR STAFF! SHE REFUSED TO APPROVE AND PROCESS MY REFUND.... DUPED ME OUT OF MY 2 WEEK PAY WHEN I DIDN'T EVEN STAY THERE.     The location is good, and it's good value for money. The manager stole my money for 5 nights and talked to customers so badly. I had a reservation for 5 nights, and I'd lost my credit card the night before. I had my bank send it to me in 2, 3 business days to the hostel's address. They rejected me to check in since I didn't have a physical credit card and never refunded my money for 5 nights. I talked to booking.com, and there was no use as the hostel never responded to their email. I talked to the manager in person, and she said we never promised a refund. I don't know how cruel a person can be. Be careful not to book more than 2 days in the beginning as they have the power to refund nothing due to their cancelation policy. They canceled my reservation as no show-up and simply never refunded me even after I received my physical credit card sent by my bank. I guess the manager knows very well how to abuse this policy to take advantage of people.

    I got robbed at San Francisco Airport and got delayed 6 hours in my flight to Miami. I wrote to the hostel to please hold my reservation as I would be there by 6 a.m. willing to pay for the two nights I originally booked. When I showed up at 5 a.m. they somehow decided this was a modification to my reservation, flaged it as a no show and refused to give me a bed unless I made a new reservation Cheap place, weird atmosphere and beware, they will take every penny they can from you.

    The hostel is very well located, close to the beach, close to supermarkets and meeting points for day tours. Also, it is easy to go walking to famous avenues and restaurants in South Miami Beach. The staff is nice and friendly. The room's temperature was also great. They offer beach chairs for us, what is handy because they can be expensive to rent at the beach. They offer a locker inside the room, however I left my electric shaver on the top of my bed and it was stolen. The air conditioner inside the room was a bit noisy/old. The kitchen is very small for everyone in the hostel, so the fridge was always full.

    I was assaulted, threatened, and had my personal belongings thrown by another guest... and management did nothing despite multiple requests for help from multiple people. I don't have much space to explain the whole story here, but I stayed from 8/4-8/15. On 8/12, a woman joined the room who physically assaulted me and threatened each of the other 5 of us (i.e., when my shirt fell off of my top bunk and onto her suitcase below, she yelled at me, “I’m gonna tell y’all this one time and one time only. You are going to PAY THE PRICE if your SH*T touches my things again” before balling it up and throwing it across the room; when another woman walked by her bed, she yelled, "Stand over me like that, you're gonna meet the god I serve;" around 5AM one morning, she woke us all up by loudly asking god to curse each of us "witches" and ensure we don't "go unpunished"). Hostels can be unpredictable and things like this happen, the difference is whether staff take the appropriate action when they do. We collectively informed multiple staff, each of whom did NOTHING. The first staff member we asked to help us told us she'd "she what she could do," and about 20 minutes later we tried to follow up and she was singing karaoke at the bar. We then informed Chance, who told me that being assaulted and threatened wasn't enough for management to step in, and I'd have to wait to be assaulted a second time before they could help. I also informed Bianca and other staff, as did other girls in the room who requested to be moved because they were afraid for their safety, and we kept getting "I'll see what I can do" with no actual help or next steps. I intended to extend my stay but chose not to after learning that management has ZERO regard for client safety/wellbeing. It’s important to know that if you book here you are ON YOUR OWN in the event that anything happens.
