Freedom Hostels Rainbow Beach

Lage und Anlage an sich sehr gut, großer Pool und viele Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Sauberkeit war jedoch unterirdisch. Die Küche war extrem verdreckt, meistens weder saubere Lappen noch Spüli vorhanden. Auf allen öffentlichen Toiletten war keine Seife vorhanden, was ich bei so einer großen Anzahl von Menschen verantwortungslos finde. das zimmereigene Bad hatte keinen Duschvorhang, es hat also direkt unter Wasser gestanden. Die Treppen zu den Hochbetten waren sehr schwer zu besteigen

They overbooked the room so I had no bed. So had to be moved. No lockers or curtains or plugs near the bed. Bathroom wasn’t the best.

Extremely small kitchen for the size of the hostel. Only 2 or 3 sofas to sit it common room, otherwise it’s just stools and definitely not enough for entire hostel. Kitchen was always filthy and room bathroom sometimes not cleaned. No WiFi in our dorm room, and awful internet even when connected in common room. Awful network too. I would only stay here 1 night max. for K’gari as there’s no where else to stay

We were charged twice for our stay and when we asked about it the receptionist was extremely rude and unapologetic, she began shouting at us saying it wasn’t their fault. In regards to the no water from 9-2pm shouted “even I can’t p** in the day”. there are no lockers in the rooms, only 4 plug sockets in an 8 person dorm, only a fly mesh window in the bathroom which is completely see through so no privacy, the kitchen is disgusting and has a total of 3 pots, the Wi-Fi does not reach the...

Troppo costoso.

Shower overflowed, dirty room (apparently housekeeping cleaned this room?). Insect larvae on bed, stale biscuit on the balcony, lots of blood stain on mattress. I checked out within an hour of checkin (no asked why I was checking out so early when i gave back the key and told them i was checking out), and luckily found somewhere else for the night. I have slept in hostels internationally (Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, etc), and wouldn't even stay here. If you have a choice don't stay there!

No air conditioning in room, no shower curtain, toilet didn’t flush, sink plug didn’t drain properly, kitchen was grim and pool was filthy.

Great free Pancakes every morning

J’ai passé un bon séjour dans cet hostel. Néanmoins, il y avait énormément de bruit le soir (l’endroit où se font des soirées se tient à grande proximité de certaines chambres). Aussi, la cuisine est fermée le soir à partir de 22:00, je n’ai donc pas pu accéder à la nourriture.

If you’re booking the Fraser island trip this is the best hostel to go to because the bus pick-up/drop off is right in front same about the Dingo’s tour. There’s a pool and bar and the rooms are basic but clean. For 1/2 nights its great not much to do in the area for more nights

The hostel itself was okay. Not really much to do or see in the area. We were also promised free pancakes for breakfast between 6-7 am but when we showed up the next morning there was no one working, so we never got any pancakes :( The rooms were pretty clean and the facilities were okay.

Schon sehr dreckig… das Bad war eklig und im Zimmer waren Kakerlaken. Die Ausstattung in den Zimmern ist auch furchtbar… es gibt keine Schließfächer oder Ähnliches

Overall good hostel but don't expect much. Very bare rooms and not a place to meet people. Most people will stay for the night and do fraser. Nice common areas though.

Good for a night before or night after doing K’gari. The pool area is really nice and big and the pool is also big itself and can swim in/ play games in. Laundry facilities worked well along with a big washing line if the weather is good. Rooms pretty basic and with no lockers. Also only sheets provided and no proper covers so got quite chilly in the night. When I was there breakfast was served 45 mins late which made it quite a rush before the tour.

Je suis restée une nuit, les gaufres du petit déjeuner sont super bonne, c’est spacieux. On partage une douche avec toute la chambre, faut avoir la chance de tomber sur des gens propres. Bémol le local à bagage est payant

stayed here before K’gari and had everything you needed, rooms were nice and clean and let me use the facilities after K’gari too which was greatly appreciated

Sehr cooler Pool und Gemeinschaftsbereich drinnen und draußen.

One of the best hostels we stayed at in Aus. The place was super clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s the meeting point for dingos kgari tours so was an easy check in check out process. They even have luggage storage for while you’re away. Highly recommend!

Praktisch, wenn von hier am nächsten Morgen die K‘gari Tour startet. Ansonsten hat mir das Hostel wenig zugesagt. Die Zimmer und das Bad waren wirklich nicht sauber, obwohl das ganze Zimmer frisch bezogen wurde. Auch die Regelung mit einem Bad inkl. Klo pro Zimmer ist etwas unglücklich wenn sich alle fertig machen wollen. Es befindet sich auch nicht an jedem Bett direkt eine Steckdose und auch kein kleineres Licht, so ist es direkt komplett hell wenn jemand später ins Zimmer kommt.

Location was ideal if you’re doing the K’Gari tour as it picks you up from the hostel. My room key didn’t work to lock or unlock the door which can be quite concerning knowing people can just walk into the room. No secure lockers in the rooms so my stuff was just under the bottom bunk. No privacy curtains and my room was opposite the pool so was noisy to early hours. Staff were great though.

great if you're doing a k'gari tour. all rooms had ac. the kitchen was too small, only had big pot and did not feel clean. bathrooms also were not the cleanest

Perfect hostel for doing the Fraser tour. Free pancakes, good perks, perfect location and rooms worked fine for 1 night. Great pool aswell!

Very lovely hostel. Perfect to stay before and after Dingos K’gari tour. Staff are lovely and helpful. Very close to the beach and shops. Right next to Greyhound bus stop.

Freedom hostel work alongside dingos which is perfect if you’re doing a Fraser tour with them. The facilities were very basic along with standard cleanliness, however loved the pool and it did the job. The staff were helpful and inform you about the events everyday eg free pancakes between 6-7am. However, didn’t find it very social as lots of big tour groups!

Decent Hostel, wifi ist literally not existent.
