Whostels Srinagar

+ The heater situation was horrible, and the location is also very inconvenient to reach.

- Heating system and room size

- The owner is abusive and they don't abuse in hindi but abuse them in kashmiri so anyone can't understand him he calls customer bakra in kashmiri

+ Nothing

- Literally everything , Rooms are okaish, however the inconvenience of the place is a matter of concern as it is very far from dal gate. Hospitality was not good here , please avoid this hostel if you don't wanna ruin your Kashmir trip.

+ Food was good. Beds were comfortable.

- 4 bed dorms space was very compact to keep the luggage, if all 4 beds are occupied Only 1 electric socket per 2 beds. Didn't like the staffs behavior, he keep on asking everyday 'are you checking out today ?' multiple times Which felt like they don't seem interested by presence. Not like what I have experienced in other competitive hostels. No efforts for engaging guests in games or activities. It felt more like hotel than hostel. NO hostel vibe..

- Way too expensive for what it is. 40$ for a very simple room without breakfast or anything. The property is surrounded by mosques which wake you up in the middle of the night for one hour since they are incredible loud. When we arrived in the evening the whole room was dirty, floor not cleaned, bedsheets full of hair and not changed. You are not allowed to keep on your shoes but use one of their slippers but once you walk around the property it is still dirty everywhere and doesn't get cleaned. Also only cash payment for foreigners in rupee was accepted. Unfortunately we had to extend our stay to three nights since we became sick.

+ Mir hat dem freundlichen Personal Service besonders gefallen, vor allem Herrn Wasiem der sehr nett und hilfsbereit gesessen war. Die Lage war auch sehr schön.

+ The place is best for solo travellers, very near to Mughal gardens and Pari Mahal, the host is very helpful and personally helped me get J&K sim. The stay here was perfect for cold since there was heater in dormitory, very clean toilets and amazing food. The common room was very cozy, overall the best hostel experience

- The distance between the property and dal gate also 900 metre walk from the main road.

+ Very nice cozy rooms. Good toilets and very nice garden.

- The staff are very friendly but also not very capable. They don't really make any attempt to make things better. I had to pay extra for my room because they didn't have any change, and they just sat there and shrugged their shoulders making it my problem. And also I asked for a kettle or some hot water, and they just looked and my plainly like it was something impossible to get. They are friendly but they are not very good hosts, I wouldn't say they know how to actually 'make plan' for a guest. Good facilities but average hospitality.
