The Surf House

This hostel is very overpriced. The location, kitchen and rooftop are very nice. Besides that… the rooms are dusty with unstable beds. Pillows are covered in yellow stains… bathrooms are dirty and most likely out of toilet paper. Not much privacy in the bathrooms. No towels included. You have to pay to use the washing machine. Absolutely not worth €75 ($150) a night!

So this is a good hostel, nice staff, good common areas, great kitchen, well organised activities but the price is ridiculous for what you get… The beds are nearing on dangerous tbh, all of us on the top bunks felt pretty unsafe using the ladders and we all were hurting ourselves on the metal as the mattress is too small. No curtains, 1 pillow only. The bathroom was only properly cleaned once a week… I think that’s shocking when you’re paying well over $100 a night, there was sand ev...

As a solo traveller this hostel was not ideal. Not very social as there is very little space to socialise with other travellers. The place is clean and well presented and the staff were lovely. I ended up spending most of my time away from the hostel and used it just to sleep. For the price it’s not worth it

Hostel provides free surfboard hire, the kitchen is really big. The location is perfect. But the bathroom and rooms are not clean. You need to hire towels for 4$ extra, but you already paying ~89$ per night. So it looks better on the pictures but there is nothing special about it.

Viel zu überteuert für das was man kriegt. Würde es nur empfehlen wenn man das übrige Kleingeld hat. Ich hatte in einem 6 Bett Zimmer geschlafen was überhaupt nicht besonders war, oder den Preis rechtfertigen würde.

Very clean, very big, huge well equipped kitchen, lovely staff and amazing location. Wasn’t a very good common area, no where comfy to hang out or have a rest.

L’hostel est très bien situé, à côté de la plage, des restaurants/bar et des boutiques. Les chambres sont très propres, les lits très confortables et cuisine est super bien équipée. Ils proposent de nombreuses activités gratuite le matin et le soir. Je recommande vraiment cet hostel, je m’y sentais tellement bien que j’ai prolongé 2 nuits de plus que prévu.

Such a great hostel, it's an easy walk from where the greyhound drops you off, the best part of the hostel was the location your right near the beach with loads of food options and places to shop around it. The shared rooms have a big bathroom and a good amount of storage and was very clean. They also have a nice and quite outdoor area where you can chill in the evenings if you don't want to go to the upstairs bar or hang in the kitchen.

One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at! Best location of all the hostels in Byron imo. The kitchen was also very open to make it feel less crowded. Not a big party vibe but they did have fun activities each night that were chill.

the surf house is like next door to the beach. clean and the kitchen is enough big to have place to do your things. commun bathrooms but you have enough to not wait to get a shower. the bed are comfortable and clean with the curtain!

fantastisch hostel: lieve staff, de locatie is dichtbij supermarkten, winkels en het strand, de bedden zijn comfortabel (helaas wel met zand)+ een gordijntje, douches en toiletten zijn schoon, surfboard of boogyboard te leen, grote en schone keuken met genoeg opbergruimte :)

Beste Hostel in Byron! Centraal gelegen, je staat in 2 minuten op het main strand en bij de surfschool. Verder is het hostel superschoon! Keuken is echt heel schoon en netjes. Heel ruim opgezet ook, en er was altijd ruimte om te koken. De kamers zijn top en de bedden ook. Gordijntjes en stopcontacten in de bunks. Douches ook prima en genoeg aanwezig. Ook de sauna en ijsbad zijn schoon en top. Rooftopbar is gezellig en goed om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten.

Camera e bagni puliti, i letti hanno delle tende. Clima rilassato e gradevole. Bello che si possano prendere le tavole da surf gratuitamente. A due passi da tutto quello di cui si possa necessitare. Aggiungerei più stendi panni in balcone.

one of the best hostel I‘ve ever been to, the staff was so so nice, everything super clean and a big kitchen. Also enjoyed the sauna and ice baths a lot. We also rented surfboards, which was a really nice extra. The only minor issue was that my surf leash kept coming off because the Velcro was worn out. I would love to come back!!

Great place to stay in Byron, spacious kitchen and dorms. Sauna and rooftop are an added bonus

wirklich gar nichts auszusetzen, außer dass die Küche zu früh schließt haha Mega Zimmer, alles sauber , fühlt sich wie ein Hotel an , gratis surfboards sind mega , super Stimmung
