JOST Hostel Bordeaux

J’ai réservé 5 nuits , après j’ai décidé de partir après 1 nuit Le personnel a l’accent m’a dit que le hostel va me rembourser dans le reste …mais ils n’ont pas de parole

Das Personal von der rooftopbar ist sehr unfreundlich und arrogant aber nur der cheff die anderen sind alle freundlich.

It was very hot in the sleeping pods, and there were flies in the room that kept buzzing around me while I tried to sleep. This was my worst night of sleep I’ve gotten in a long time.

No toilet paper and soap at the toilettes

Filthy hostel. I woke up in the night to hear scuttling (definitely a rodent, i’m very used to the sound, was a mouse/ rat not the person above me in bunk). I went back to sleep as I only heard the animal scuttling inside the frame of the bed rather than in the bed itself. I woke up at about 6.30 again and felt something MOVING UNDER MY SHEETS. Obviously couldn’t go back to sleep after that. Also the dorm stank, there was a wet towel left in the bathroom during my two night stay.

The bathrooms weren‘t very clean and the air in my room was pretty bad. Our ensuite bathroom was divided into a) toilet and b) shower and sink which i find inconvenient. The hostel didn‘t feel very social to me but I was there for a short time only so maybe it actually is social. The rooftop bar is pretty expensive. The location is great if you need to catch an early train from Bordeaux St Jean but it wasn‘t very central, so it was a maybe 20-30 minute walk to the city. The staff was nice.

The hostel is located beside a really sketchy area. I didn’t feel safe walking late at night as a solo female. Hostel was clean & modern. It was more of a hotel. Not social whatsoever. The lock on the bathroom door was so stiff it wouldn’t lock for me. It was a free for all for lockers- someone was using mine and reception didn’t do anything when i informed them, no dryer for laundry, room had a strange smell, there was no common area outside the room to use. Ce serait sympa de mettre du savon dans les douches et de couvrir l'immense baie vitrée dans la cabine des toilettes : la vue est certes impressionnante, mais on est aussi vu à son tour. Sinon, j'ai passé un agréable séjour.

Location was great . Everything you need very close . Rooms comfortable. Beds comfortable. Rooftop a bonus .kitchen was ok . Kettle didn't work but microwaves did the job . Someone liked yought and ate everyone's that was in the fridge .showers great

Bonne auberge pour un court séjour car très bien placée à côté de la gare mais éloignée du centre ville par contre

It’s midway between a hotel and a hostel, the breakfast is a buffet and it is delicious. It’s not far from the train station but it is far from the city center.

I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel!

J’ai passé 3 nuits au Jost Bordeaux et je reviendrai si je suis de passage ! Tout a été parfait.

I am someone who adores beauty, I’m an artist. The location of your hotel depressed me. And that is why I relocated if I was a business traveler, and the train was my focus, of course it would be a particularly lovely situation. Given that I found the facility clean, modern, secure and well staffed. Every one of the staff that I encountered was polite and charming. I particularly enjoyed Reduane and Erin in the restaurant. the front desk staff was charming. I would recommend your hostel.

The room, bathroom, bed space and shared kitchen were clean. As improvement I would suggest more space for baggage (I was not sure where to put it), e.g. a shelf and several hooks (for clothes, towels) near the bed. Also chairs/sitting opportunities in the room apart from the bed would have been nice.

Una buena opción de alojamiento. No está muy cerca del centro pero vale la pena. Muy limpio

Les dortoirs sont top! Le rideau bien occultant, les salles de bain en bon état. Personnel gentil :) je recommande

Schönes Hostel mit kleinen aber sauberen Zimmern. Vorhänge und Steckdosen sind bei allen Betten vorhanden. Bäder sind auf dem Flur (getrennte für Männer und Frauen), wodurch es aber auch entspannter in den Zimmern ist. Lage ist in der Nähe vom Bahnhof (knapp 10 min zu Fuß). In die Innenstadt dauert es 30 min zu Fuß. Dafür ist das Areal des Hostels ein nettes Neubau-Viertel mit Supermarkt und Restaurants. Die Rooftop Bar des Hostels ist auch schön zum Aufhalten. Sehr zu empfehlen!

View Very nice hostel with lots of privacy. The beds are arranged so that you have your own space. Everything was clean. The location was a bit outside the city, but the train station was easy to reach. Everyone at the hostel kept to themselves and there weren't many opportunities to meet other people.

En general tuve una grata experiencia, pero no hay mucha información, te dejan solo y poco a poco vas descubriendo el espacio. Los días que fui no hubo ambiente, nada de convivencia, la terraza vacía. Pero está muy limpio y la cama es muy cómoda, el cuarto parece un poco laberinto y hay poco espacio personal, pero se compensa con la privacidad en la cama.

Sauber und in der Nähe vom Bahnhof gelegen. Schöne Umgebung, aber hat sich mehr nach Hotel als Hostel angefühlt.

Nice stay, was more like a hotel than a hostel. Not sosial, but good atmosphere

It is near enough to the Bordeaux St. Jean station to walk there. The rooftop restaurant was lovely, though there is another place to eat downstairs. And a nice little kitchenette with tables & chairs on the 1st floor for fixing your own meals. And the staff are absolutely lovely.

Les employés ont était très agréable et le petit déjeuner était très sympa aussi. En plus il y avais une piscine sur la terrasse. J’ai très bien aimé mon accueil

The hostel doesn't lend itself well to making friends as a solo traveler. The common rooms were hard to find and you have to ask for access to the common kitchen separately. Otherwise, it's a comfortable enough space, and I liked the curtains on the bunks.
