HORRIBLE! I do advise against staying in the place. The customer service is the rudest I have ever met. The people on the reception shouted at us, ignored any questions, didn’t matter if we spoke French or English, and they behaved awfully. It seemed we should have been grateful we stayed there. There was no discussion as the staff pretended they didn’t hear us and we were ignored any time we asked for basic things ( a towel or a toilet paper). The linen was dirty, the toilet didn’t work ...
To start with, when we arrived they couldn't find our reservation. The promised breakfast was not on time, and depended on a lot of insistence. Very difficult to communicate. A goat woke us up screaming every morning, next to the window. There was no kitchen available as advertised. Horrible experience.

Ce n'est pas du tout l'auberge de jeunesse à laquelle nous nous attendions... Il n'y a pas d'accès à la cuisine comme annoncé. Sur les photos on peut voir une jolie chambre de 8 lits où nous pensions dormir avec toilette et salle de bain. Le dortoir où nous avons était n'avait rien à voir, difficile de trouver une place ou poser son backpack et pas de salle de bain ni toilette. Pour cela il faillait descendre au rdc et attendre que la seule douche se libére. Et le personnel peu sympat...
Staff were very rude. Every time I asked a question it was as if I was burdening them. Electricity cut out every so often too.
Oui, il s'agit d'un hostel abordable, mais je m'attends tout de même à être bien accueilli. Le personnel était froid et peu coopératif. Il y avait une seule douche et toilette, les deux dans la même pièce pour tout les personnes en chambre partager, je me serais dit au minimum d'avoir une toilette séparé. Ensuite la fameuse douche faisait en sorte que tout était mouillé dans la salle de bain. Avec aucun espace ou crochet pour mettre nos trucs en sécurité ou à l'abri de l'eau...

There was only one shower and toilet, both in the same room for all the people in the shared room, I would have liked at least to have a separate toilet. Then the famous shower made sure everything was wet in the bathroom. With no space or hook to put our stuff in a safe or waterproof...
Terrible, you will find better places for the same price in the city.
They don't work with hostel world. My reservation didn't exist when I got there. Luckily they were super nice and they had room. The hostel itself was great. Just a couple blocks from the express bus running to main cultural district.

Although many complained about the Location, I liked it. There are restaurants around and it is a safe neighborhood. Staff was helpful and the terrace is very nice.

I love this hostel, i met some amazing people here, the staff is nice and helpful, you can chill on the rooftop balcony. they have good breakfast and coffee a cross the street.

Great stay, staffed 24/7 so easy to get to even after late airport flight. Nice clean bathroom cleaned every day. Plenty of outlets in the shared dorm and a really nice rooftop. Kind people.

I stayed there for four days and had no issues at all. Beautiful terrace. They have 24-hour security, and they change the linens and make the bed every day (which I don’t think is necessary). The staff is very kind! I would definitely stay there again if I come back to Dakar.
Hostel ubicado en el barrio de Grande Yoff, desde el cuál por menos de 2000 CFA puedes coger taxis a cualquier punto de la ciudad. Muy correcto para el precio que tiene, bastante por debajo de lo habitual en Dakar. Dispone de servicio de lavandería a 1000 CFA por Kg de ropa. No tiene cocina. Personal muy atento y amable, dispuesto a dar recomendaciones sobre la ciudad y a gestionar transportes para realizar excursiones. Disponen de guardia 24h y videovigilancia.
Hostel located in the Grande Yoff neighborhood, from which for less than 2000 CFA you can take taxis to any point of the city. Very correct for the price it has, quite below the usual in Dakar. It has laundry service at 1000 CFA per Kg of clothing. It has no kitchen. Very attentive and friendly staff, willing to give recommendations about the city and to arrange transportation for excursions. There is 24-hour guard and video surveillance.
Airport bus to AIBD dem dikk 6500 CFA one way. Hostel 15 min walk in safe neighborhood passing local food stalls. Center is far away doable by bus from AIBD or by taxis anywhere. No mosquitoes; rooms & sheets are cleaned every day. Bathroom in DF is small but clean. Nice sun room upstairs. Not many visitors to talk to. Inexpensive local breakfast, coffee, tea, fruit at the corner stalls.
It does the Job, could improve on AC, Mold in the rooms, mattresses & almost everything. Definitely a budget choice.
Das Zimmer war wie erwartet: Bett + Ventilator. Das geteilte Bad war oft sehr schwül, wurde aber täglich geputzt und war grundsätzlich sauber. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Wir konnten für mehrerw Tage unsere Koffer kostenlos dort lagern. Die Dachterasse des Hostels lohnt sich und ist ein guter Platz zum Entspannen, Spielen, Essen etc.
The room was as expected: Bed + Ventilator. The shared bathroom was often very foggy, but was cleaned daily and was basically clean. The staff is very neat. We were able to store our suitcases there for several days free of charge. The Dachterasse des Hostels is worth it and is a good place to relax, play, eat etc.
I appreciated that there was always security or staff keeping watch 24/7. The area did not feel dangerous, it was just nice to have. I brought my own blanket so I didn't need one, but they didn't have one on the bed or a towel. I asked for a towel and received it, I guess I just expected them to ask me if I needed one or just already had it available on the bed upon check in. I saw mosquito nets on other beds but not on mine. It would have been courteous for them to ask me, especially considerin...
Hi! I had read the reviews and was a bit cautious. Yet when I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the front desk. There indeed had been a mix-up withthe Hostelworld but they quickly found a solution. The dorm was clean and simple. Mosquito nets if requested (I didn't). Bathroom clean and simple. Beautiful art on the walls, airy and welcoming vibe, rooftop patio. It's 10min walk from the airport bus and another 10min walk to the BRT (a rapid bus line to Dakar center). Would stay again.
The place is not in a bad area but is not in a good area either. The name of the street is different from the one in the maps, so impossible to find the place, the number 164 is correct. There is no such self-catering facility as advertised. In general, there are not nets for the beds. I requested one because the mosquitoes were eating me up and up. The staff is very nice, very knowledgeable and help in getting all kinds of directions. It is clean and a place where one can feel safe. Dario USA...

Okay for the start. The staff was not very welcoming and had problems to help us... the private room was nice , but the balcony door didn't close properly. So all in all it was okay .
