Positive: Good bar with a lot of choice for cheap price compared to other town bars. Good breakfast. Close the historic center. Grocery near the hotel. Negative: Shower not cleaned, toilette not cleaned daily, lack of toilette on the floors over the bar. bed bugs... Must pay for the luggage room (4 Euros for 24h). Over priced I think for this kind of accomodation. Far from train station. Brugge in general: very beautiful city, a must to visit, but prices are out of target compared to the rest of the Blegium. I recommand you to stay other city and go to Brugge on a day trip. Don't eat there, very expensive.

Floor was filthy when we arrived. Bed was not comfortable. No privacy in our private room as our window opened out to other windows directly across a small roof. Quite noisy at night. Found bed bugs & got bites but the staff handled this excellently - heard us out, were polite & concerned & refunded our money.

The bed mattresses need bedbug-proof covers readily available at the local bedding stores or online . They are a must-have modern investment not a frivolous expense . 'Hand Held Bidets' in the toilets would be a new-age hygienic addition to save huge $$s in wasted paper . 🙂

I stayed at Bauhaus for a few nights, and unfortunately, I left with my body covered in red patches. At first, I thought it was an allergic reaction, but after visiting my doctor upon returning home, I was informed it was caused by bed bugs. I urge you to take immediate action to ensure the cleanliness of your beds and mattresses, which currently feel more like sponges than proper beds.

I left with bites on my arms, likely bed bug bites. They were also working on the restroom nearly every day when I was there.

On my first night I woke up covered in bites. I sleep on my back and my back and back of my arms were covered in bites and my front was untouched. I don’t know what was in the bed but I can only assume it’s bugs in the bed. The pub next door gets extremely loud so it’s difficult to sleep. If you’re there on Wednesday good luck getting any sleep before 2am. I don’t expect much when staying in hostels but I at least expect not to get eaten alive by bugs in the bed

Do not stay here. The place is infested with bed bugs. I am covered in bites and had to cut my trip short in order to deal with this issue. The property is also very far away from the main attractions and is extremely loud until 2am every night. There is also mold in the showers and the cleanliness standard is subpar.

The location was okay, but there were definitely bed bugs in my bed, because now I have massive red marks all over my body. There is no ventilation in the room, no air con, no fan, and hence a 10 people dorm naturally stinks and is very hot. Really disappointed, as my whole body is covered in bite marks now.

Bedbugs!!!

We found bed bugs when we woke up. Got me itchy for a whole day....

La ubicación está muy buena, cerca del centro. Le doy 7.4 porque a 3 nosotros nos picaron chinches (bed bugs) la primer noche. En recepción solo nos dijeron que eran mosquitos y se molestaron. Tambien el baño tenía un aroma muy feo. Las camas tienen su propia cortina, lo que brinda privacidad y es muy bueno.

i liked the hostel overall,sometimes bathrooms smell but staffs are so helpful and friendly. i really wanted to be sure before writing this review but unfortunately there were bedbugs,first night i had bites and i wanted to make sure and 2nd night i had 5 as an circle in my ankle.I was staying in 2nd building which is separated from the bar,i checked before sleeping but it might come from another bed..

Bathrooms were a bit dirty with toilet paper on the ground and hair in the sinks. As this hostel is connected to a bar, it can get really loud at night from the drunkards downstairs. I also woke up with bites all over both of my arms and brought it up with the staff and they agreed that it was probably from bed bugs or fleas.They assured that they would check it out but I would still be cautious and check before you sleep on the beds.

I was booked for 3 night stay. Unfortunately after first night in room 1 my hands and arms were bitten 8 times by bed bugs 🐜. These are still very itchy and painful. I was therefore forced to leave early and was refunded for 2 nights as I had to seek alternative accommodation. The staff dealt with my complaint well and were very courteous.
