Pas de personnel !

Couldn’t get into the hostel! Advertises 24 hour reception but nobody was there for me to drop my luggage in the morning:

We were very disappointed. We felt no soul in the common area, and we had no proper welcome from the staff. We even had to ask where were the bathroom. And had to look ourselves about the rest of the house. Hairs in bed, dirty walls, bathroom not clean… What else to say… We though we would find what any traveler could wish for a night.. even one night was too much !

La description insiste sur la propreté, mais ce n’est clairement pas ce que j’ai constaté : cheveux au sol et dans le lit, poussière visible et probablement de la moisissure. Ce niveau de propreté ne correspond pas au prix demandé (chambre privative). Cependant la localisation est bonne. Aucune ambiance dans l’hostel (surement car je suis hors période de tourisme). Et le staff de l’hostel se fait rare…

Good location, but incredibly loud if you have balcony room. Only one shower and toilett for quite a lot of people.

Sol de la chambre et de la salle de bain sale, draps tâchés. Aucune insonorisation. Personnel inefficace (la cuisine est restée en désordre, vaisselle pas rangée, bouteilles de bières pas jetées) et bruyant, on entendait le son de son téléphone jusque dans notre chambre. Atmosphère bizarre avec des clients qui boivent dès 8h30 et qui piquent la vaisselle que vous êtes en train d'utiliser.

Nice location. Nothing else special here.

Nothing to rave about . It was fine as a base, the staff quite helpful and room was basic but fine

I had a private room with no windows which had a bad smell and the door not lockable. It was clean but the whole interior looked pretty improvised. You could hear any noises as if you were sleeping at the reception. Social life is pretty dead too. The location in the historical center was fine.

Los encargados de recepción son muy amables. El lugar se encuentra bien ubicado y cuenta con todo lo necesario para una cómoda estadía.

Auberge toute petite, avec 2 seuls dortoirs, et seulement une salle de bain, pas très pratique au quotidien. Cela dit, très bien situé, cuisine bien équipé, salon agréable et de la place dans les espaces communs. Le personnel est très sympathique !

Room with balcony. Hot shower with good stream but had to adjust cold tap carefully. Nice staff. Very central. Traffic was noisy from street below. But at night became quiet and so no problem.

Mi sono trovata molto bene. È un posto tranquillo e in centro città. Ho apprezzato molto la pulizia e la quiete. Sopratutto l’avere un asciugamano pulito e morbido. Solo che la reception a volte non risponde e, come me, altri viaggiatori hanno dovuto aspettare fuori senza sapere come fare il check-in. Un poco più di attenzione verso l’entrata degli ospiti e il resto tutto impeccabile!!

Nice hostel and could be really great with more people staying there. In the evening I thought I was alone in the hostel but in the morning I realised there were other guests there too. The location is perfect, close to the main plaza and lots of little restaurants and cafes close by. I really enjoyed Popayan too, even if only for a Sunday afternoon and evening. The locals are friendly and chatty, and there's a nice family atmosphere in the town.

Great hostel! Ideal location in the center of Popoyán - love the balconies but it isn’t loud at night. Rooms and bathrooms are always clean and the staff are so friendly and welcoming and always willing to give you advice or recommendations 😊 amazing value for money

Nice hostel in Popyan. Modern, clean and the owner is really nice. Well priced as well with a good kitchen. Recommended.

My stay at Les Balcons had some notable issues despite a good price and location. Initial reception was not great. The room itself smelled, although the bed was acceptable. The location is quite convenient, being close to a grocery store and a cafe I liked. However, comfort was significantly impacted by noise. My sleeping area was right next to a dining area, and unfortunately, a large group of around 15 kids were extremely loud late into the night and started again around 7 AM, accompanie...

Has the hotel feel,but it's still a nice space.

In the heart of downtown, close to everything. Good restaurants nearby, super comfortable beds. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was i wish they had additional blenders for fruit and proper coffee pots in kitchen, but everything was clean, staff was super helpful. A great value

Lovely place to stay for a night or two whilst doing the border crossing. Staff are helpful, beds are comfy, showers are warm, and there’s a good kitchen. Only one bathroom between the dorms but it wasn’t that busy so not the end of the world. Not sociable but nice and chilled

The hostel was perfect, clean and the stuff was really helpful. Especially, the kitchen had all necessary equipment and it was clean.
