Under The Coconut Tree

Staff was great, but this hostel is not comfortable nor clean. The fact that it is close to beach makes it difficult to keep it clean, I understand, but there were too many things, showers are dirty and not very good at keeping privacy, my room had no AC and I did not sleep more than 3hs each night. I saw a couple of rats running around the garden. I would not stay again if I had seen it. Do not really understand the high rating of this hostel…

Pros: Staff were friendly, location was good, welcome drink was great! Mattress and pillow were comfortable. Cons: This place was covered with ants that bite so I didn’t feel like I could relax anywhere for more than 20 seconds, WiFi didn’t work in the rooms, AC was non existent in an AC advertised room. If you get stuck in an upper bunk, you don’t get a privacy curtain. Just a bug net that makes it hotter. This place came recommended to me but I could have easily skipped.

I stayed in the dorm and didn’t feel cosy. Its was small, dark room. Top of bunk bed didn’t have curtains which I didn’t like. Bedding was polyester. Outside of dorm room it looked nice, lots of plants, artistic looking toilets and showers. Water filter, nice place for breakfast.

We stayed on a very cute private room that had everything you would need. The problem was that the people on the next private room had no education and didn't really care they were bothering other customers. The rooms have basically no full size walls so you can perfectly here whats around you, and in our case, we payed 30 Euros a night to hear a couple of assholes speaking out loud.

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt. Tien ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir haben hier 3 Nächte verbracht und uns hat es gefallen.

Chill hostel close to the beach. Its about a 15min ride from the centre. It's partly outdoors, e.g. the bathrooms. The window of my dorm could not fully close. Bathrooms are a bit rundown. Breakfast is in the nearby Ken restaurant and is okay. There are a few options to choose from which taste good, it just never made me100%full&I know others felt the same. It is not a party hostel but can still be possible to meet other backpackers :)

This place has such a Nice atmosphere. We had a very warm welcome with tea, cake + Some Local information. The room was spacious, with bed lights, curtains and a locker. There is a Nice comunal area to relax (although for me the music was too loud). We rented bicycles (40.000 VND p/d) to go to Hoi An which was 20 min. Very convenient. Also the beach is nearby. Good breakfast. “Con”: they make up your bed every day, taking towles + water bottles that you still want to use and move your stuf...

Mr Thanh ist super nett und hilft viel! Allerdings hatte ich auch das Gefühl, dass uns gerne etwas aufgeschwatzt wird (hier also Vorsicht). Die Unterkunft ist sehr hübsch und passt mit all den Farben, Laternen und Pflanzen sehr zu dem vibe von hoi an! Wir hatten aber einen Dorm ohne modquitonetze und wurden dadurch die Nacht über von einer mosquitospirale eingenebelt. Auch das wlan ist wirklich nicht gut. Der Strand ist es sehr nah, zur Altstadt ist man aber auf grab/Moped/Fahrrad angewiesen!

The Coconut Tree is everything it needs to be - don’t expect too much but that’s not really the point. Super chill

Mega Unterkunft, liegt schön im Wald mit sehr sehr freundlichen Personal, die sich ehr wie Freunde angefühlt haben als Leute die an der Rezeption arbeiten (Luna und Trang :)) Es ist kein klassisches westliches Hostel, sondern ist ehr Naturbezogen, sehr ruhig und einfach idyllisch. Tagsüber wird es in den Bungalows schon warm, nachts kühlt eine Klimaanlage es aber gut runter. Kann es sehr weiterempfehlen!

Under the coconut tree is a great Hostel with a really cool vibe! Everyone is chill and friendly and the staff was amazing!! Especially Lucy was great. She gave us so much advice on what to do in Hoi an and gave us recommendations for cool cafés and tailor shops to go to. Overall the hostel is very calm and more like an oasis to go back to. I can only recommend it, had a great time.

I really enjoyed my stay. The owner was very friendly and gave excellent tips on what to do and where to eat. Very responsive and kind. Being able to rent a bile was very convinient. The property itlef was simply beautiful, felt like i found a secret garden. People were nice, and there was a beach that they partner with so i felt safe and not scammed. 100% recommend staying here. Only a small thing to improve would be the showers. It was a bit strange to shower but definitely not the worst.

L’auberge est très jolie sous la végétation luxuriante, l’aubiance est agréable et apaisante. Située à proximité de la plage, et à 10 min en taxi du centre ville d’Hoi An. Le personnel est accueillant et aidant si vous avez des questions.

voor mij persoonlijk was dit de beste hostel van mijn trip. geen overdreven 'social' gedoe (alcohol promotie en luide muziek). De locatie is perfect niet te stil en niet te druk, 2 minuten lopen naar het strand wat smal en lang is. Als je de drukte op wilt zoeken kun je met de fiets of grab makkelijk naar het centrum (old town). Een huiselijke sfeer, spreken goed engels en super vriendelijk.

All great! Just me volunteer that was bitchy ! But I guess that’s out of the hostel’s hands.

J'ai passé un excellent séjour dans cet endroit qui permet de se reposer pour qui le souhaite ! La plage est toute proche, l'ambiance plus paisible que dans la vieille ville de Hoi An, le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins. Toutes les facilités sont proposées pour visiter le coin... ou pas. Bref, une pépite cet endroit !

Under the coconut tree hostel was the best I have been to so far. It's very cozy, hippi stylish, got a great location - very close to the beach, not to far from the city center. Workers there are very friendly and chill. Food is amazing and u can order it from the restaurant to the hostel as well. It got a lot of chill out areas and it's super nicely decorated/ lots of artistic pictures, great bathrooms. All in all absolutely to recommend!

Ich liebe dieses Hostel so so sehr, es ist einfach gemütlich, schön grün, direkt am Strand, man hat alles was man als Backpacker benötigt, alle Mitarbeitenden sind so freundlich und herzlich, man fühlt sich total Wilkommen und kann dort schön abschalten. Auch das Restaurant, wo man das gratis Frühstück bekommt, kann ich nur empfehlen selbst wenn man von Außerhalb kommt. Super leckere vegetarische und vegane Speisen und alles frisch zubereitet. Ich werde definitiv wieder kommen.

what an amazing hostel! super close to the beach, chill vibes, the showers were so peacefull and i slept very well. the breakfast was well organized and delicious.

We loved staying here. It is a very special place! We stayed in a private room and it was beautifully decorated, comfortable and had everything you need! This hostel has such a lovely and relaxed atmosphere - great for meeting people or just hanging out. The team are so friendly and go above and beyond to help you arrange travel, laundry, bike rental and answer any questions. The breakfast was great too. Brilliant location near the beach and would 100% stay again!

Amazing vibe here. Had a great stay. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the two mice in my room. Obviously this place is on the beach with rustic infrastructure. But it’s worth noting if you are particular about rodents.

If you don’t mind staying a bit more outside from the city center this place is perfect for you. It’s so chill and not far from the beach! Many chill areas and really social. Breakfast is included.

Wij hadden een zalig verblijf in de Coconut tree. Huiselijke sfeer, extreem vriendelijke mensen, heerlijk ontbijt. Het strand ligt op een boogscheut van de hostel en is een klein paradijsje. Ik raad dit hostel 100% aan!
