So I came to this hostel for the garden. On the pictures it looked really nice, but sadly it was all under construction. If that doesn’t matter to you then go, cause the staff is really nice and the bathroom is clean.
Der Gemeinschaftsraum des Hostels erinnert eher an ein Hotel, was es schwierig macht, mit anderen ins Gespräch zu kommen. Ein Wasserkocher, Tassen etc. wären wünschenswert. Die Betten im Schlafsaal sind extrem schmal. Die Altstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar.
The common area of the hostels reminds more of an hotel, which makes it difficult to get in touch with others. a watercoach, cups etc. would be desirable. the beds in the bedroom are extremely small. the old town is within walking distance.
It was a decent hostel. The location was good. It’s walking distance from the main river. But when I was there, there was no movement in the hostel. I thought I was by myself in the hostel. When I arrived, the staff was really nice, but it seemed like they were more concerned to see how much I paid for the taxi there other things. That’s before I even checked in. I had a private room which was nice.
There was a bat in our room and they didn’t do anything about it
Il fait très chaud à l’intérieur et la Clim n’est pas autorisée en journée (seulement la nuit de 09:00pm à 08:15am environ) même sur demande si on veut faire une sieste dans la chambre en journée c’est non. Le bâtiment est en travaux. Les enfants de l’hôte ont crié dans la piscine à 08:15 du matin pendant 20 minutes juste en face de notre fenêtre. Les lits sont peu larges. On a apprécié la gentillesse de l’accueil et le lobby.
It's very hot inside and the Clim is not allowed during the day (only at night from 09:00pm to 08:15am approx) even on request if you want to take a nap in the bedroom during the day is not. The building is under construction. The host's children cried in the pool at 08:15am for 20 minutes right in front of our window. The beds are not very large. We appreciated the kindness of the reception and the lobby.

Ein sehr ruhiges und angenehmes Hostel eher am Rand von Hoi An. Gratis Wasser gibt es. Wir hatten leider Bettwanzen, aber dafür wurde eine gute Lösung gefunden
A very quiet and pleasant hostel rather on the edge of Hoi An. free water is available. we had Bettwanzen as our leader, but a good solution was found for this
We enjoyed our stay at calm house and was a brilliant location and the staff were mostly fantastic and very helpful although the owner was a tad creepy with my friend. I know he was just having banter with her but once you keep going on and making jokes it really made her feel uncomfortable. I thought this hostel was very clean, however I was very wrong, I ended up getting bed bugs. When I told the staff they were apologetic but I don’t think it will be dealt with correctly. Don’t recommend ...
nice hostel. not very social, calm but boring. the area is perfect walking distance with very cheap vietnamese food away from the expensive old town. only thing that was a big drawback, is that you don’t get a key, so your room is open and during the night or after 22-24:00 the reception shut the entrance doors. so you have to knock and wake up whatever poor soul who’s on shift, it just felt wrong. I would’ve liked a key so you could come and go, it felt almost like a curfew having to wake...
PROS: Location good for ppl who want to be a bit away from the crowd, but within 20 min walk of the main spots. Common area is nice, friendly staff. CONS: Bathroom felt kinda dirty/old, mosquitoes inside, not super social.

Really lovely hostel! A bit of a walk from the Old Town in Hoi An, but it was nice to be in quieter residential area. The staff were super friendly and really helpful with recommendations for restaurants and tours. It is a very quiet hostel, so great if you are looking for something more low-key.

The place was actually calm and clean. It's a heritage house turned out to be a hostel. It is well maintained and I had a peaceful stay there

Top Unterkunft. Ideale Lage, zentrumsnahe aber außerhalb des ganz großen Innenstafttrubels und fernab der Partyhostelmeile in Richtung Strand. Man hat seine Ruhe. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Zimmer sind top. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Einziges Manko: Die riesige Pizza, die auf den Bildern zu sehen ist ist sicherlich ein Hingucker und bestimmt lecker, uns war sie aber leider viel zu teuer. Mit einer großen Gruppe jedoch bestimmt ein Erlebnis. Das andere Essen hier war gut.
Ideal location, close to the center but outside the big Innenstafttrubles and far away from the party hostel miles towards the Beach. One has its peace. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are top. Very tastefully furnished. The only drawback: The huge pizza, which is seen on the pictures is certainly ein Hingucker and definitely delicious, uns was but unfortunately it was much too expensive. With a large group however, an Erlebnis is definitely a must. Das andere Essen hier was gut.
I really enjoy staying at the Calm House Hotel! The position is perfect, just 10 minutes walking from the old town. The staff is very friendly and the room is very clean.

Âmzing family run place Lee and Rosie made me feel at home I made new friends and more than friends a family here … the reception staff are really kind too, I just sneezed once and the receptionist yum came to me and said can i get you some hot water. so much love I never saw anywhere will always come here no matter what thanks guys love you all! And Rosie’s spring rolls were not on the menu but if you become a close family member like me then you could try that she made vegetarians ones fo...
The Calm Hostel is as the name suggest, really calm. We have had a dorm room to ourselves for our whole stay in Hoi An. Therefore, the social factor of our time there was limited. The location is about 1km away from the old town. Which we easily reached by foot. For someone that searches for a quiet and calm stay, this is perfect. The personnel is really helpful and kind and the rooms were clean. We were also able to lock our backpacks in the room. Would recommend coming here.

Super clean and nice rooms with lovely staff including the volunteers. They have great advice for eateries, transportation and just everything we really needed. But I gave it 3 stars in safety only because I had to. There wasn’t any lockers nor a lock on the door (for the private rooms there are door locks) but there is always someone standing in the reception. I never felt it was unsafe to leave my stuff in the dorm because of that. But to conclude it was really a nice stay. And good breakfas...

Mein absolutes Lieblingshostel! Der Dorm war sauber und gemütlich, es gab einen Pool, die Mitarbeiter sind wirklich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Gastgeber Rosy und Lee sind einfach die besten! Die beiden machen das ganze aus Leidenschaft und Lee backt herausragende Pizzen! Es ist zudem sehr sozial und man lernt einfach neue Leute kennen. Die Altstadt ist in 10-15 min zu Fuß erreichbar also perfekte Lage und dennoch ruhig.
The dorm was clean and cozy, there was a pool, the staff are really very friendly and helpful and the hosts Rosy and Lee are simply the best! They both make it all out of passion and Lee bakes excellent pizzas! It is also very social and you get to meet new people easily. The Altstadt is within 10-15 minutes on foot also perfect location and still quiet.
It‘s not a brand new party hostel. The building is a little older, but with a lot of charm. Also great location and exactly what the name says: calm and relaxing. The staff is just amazing!!! They are so lovely, open and helpful. When I felt uncomfortable in my first dorm (cause one was behaving really weird) they let me change the room. The only thing, I think they should think about a girl dorm.
