- Absolutely horrendous staff. They're beyond rude. It was at around 2 in the morning, and i had travelled the entire day. I wasn't able to pay on arrival, due to me not carrying any cash. I was urged to leave my passport for safekeeping, which is illegal. The next day they bothered me 5 more times (in person, through Booking and over WhatsApp) and they threatened to fine me if i didn't immediately pay.
- I booked two nights at Izzi Hostel, but upon arriving at the airport in Bishkek, I received the following messages from the hostel: “Hello! I’m so sorry but we don’t have any space today 🥲 can you please cancel your booking 🙏🏻🙏🏻” “I’m very sorry, but the guests who stayed for a long time extended their stay and because of this we have no free places left” This is absolutely unacceptable — guests with confirmed reservations should have priority over those without. A terrible experience.
- This hostel overbooked all 3 of us and asked us to cancell our booking when we arrived to the airport..They priotize other people, not good management.

In the rooms, the air conditioning, which is supposed to cool the entire room, is in one of the beds. If you lose the bed lottery here, the air conditioning blows directly into your face from half a meter away and drips onto you at the same time. I don't really care which mattress I sleep on, but this one was completely unacceptable. The springs really pressed into my body. You could only sleep if you covered the bed with towels and clothes.

- El peor colchón que me ha tocado en una semana en Kirguistán, y he dormido en hostales y yurtas. No hay donde dejar la mochila post check out, tenía un vuelo a las 19:00 pero no podía usar los espacios comunes en ese tiempo de espera. Son pocos baños para tanta gente

+ Location, the reception was ok.
- 1. Upper bunk light on ceiling is huge on face which is on 24 hrs 2. small and old bed sheets (synthetic) 3. unisex toilets and shower, 4. shower water didn't drain, 5. hot water used be shut till someone needs ask to turn on 6. extremely loud and noisy 24hrs in room and in hostel, 7. weird owner (classic in Central Asia).

Beds are comfortable and is new and quiet. However, we faced several issues staying here. Initally they claimed they couldn't access our booking and would be moving us to a larger dorm with no cost adjustment. Yet, after 15 minutes of their refusal, the exact room we'd booked was available. The following day, we returned to the hostel for the second night of our stay to find one of our beds taken with a man sleeping in it as they had given it to someone else. Also, no locks on dorm room doors.

Very clean hostel, quiet though so it can feel a little awkward. They have some odd rules, can’t even use the water cooker after 9pm. Comfy beds and good kitchen

+ The hostel is conveniently located near grocery stores and restaurants, right in the city center. They have gender-neutral toilets and showers, making it an LGBTQ+-friendly place to stay. The dorms offer good privacy with curtains, and they also provide affordable laundry service. I met so many Filipino friends here, which made my stay even more memorable.
- It’s not really about the hostel itself, but the building seems to be from the post-Soviet era, there’s no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage can be a bit challenging. It was also a little hard to find the hostel at first.

Best hostel I have stayed at in a while. Really clean hostel with very friendly staff. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and a great location. Would definitely stay here again.
