Ostello Bello Genova

While the hostel itself is not bad, the atmosphere here is awful. We interacted with many unpleasant people, notably on our last night we dealt with quite a bit of racism from many guests in the hostel, and after going to the front desk about it we found we were sharing a room with one of those people! After asking if we could move, (while understandable that the hostel was booked up and we couldn’t move) the staff were so dismissive of the fact that this was happening going as far to tell me ...

I found bed bugs in my room and I'm extremely allergic to them. Even after informing the reception, no one came to the room to notify the other guests and clean it. and when I arrived, the staff informed me that the check-in time was different from that stated in the app, after begging, she did it at my arrival time.

A bunch of thieves. After I was gone, they charged me a second time and won't give the money back to me. I highly recommand not to book this hostel run by thieves and dishonest people.

The receptionists were super helpful and the staff was nice but that’s all the hostel has to offer you. I think they offer you a free drink to make you forget about the terrible experience you’re gonna have after. The bathroom in the room had no paper at all, the shower sink was completely clogged and everything there was super messy and dirty. The bed was also very uncomfortable. The location is good but it feels dangerous for solo female travelers at night. I do not recommend it.

Was not a fan of the town, did not feel safe as a solo female & then the bed situation in the dorms were very uncomfortable with thin sheets and painful bed

We chose this hostel because it said “bike parking,” but when we arrived, staff sent us to two different places before someone finally told us they had it on site. The room was noisy, no AC, and the bathroom was locked all night. At 4:30am I couldn’t reach another one — the elevator (which works with an app) wasn’t working, and the stairs were badly marked. Nice place to meet people, but disappointing overall given the rating.

Auberge gigantesque avec plein de facilités (terrasse, cuisine équipée, welcome drink, bibliothèque etc). Salle de bain et chambre propre. Bien situé à 50 m de la gare, 15 min au centre historique.

The location is right by the train station which was great but it’s a little sketchy at night. My 4 bed mixed dorm was very large and spacious which was awesome. Cleanliness could definitely been better however, it was very clear the floors were never cleaned during my stay (hair, dirt, etc.) and shower wasn’t the cleanest most days either. Mattresses were horrendous, I could feel all the springs. A/C worked great. Overall, an okay stay.

Simply fantastic in every respect! The community they craft for their guests is the best I have experienced. There is a great bar and breakfast, a lounge with a complete kitchen AND a good variety of free ingredients with which to make your own food; and also a gym and game room. Everyone I met among the guests and staff were just so lovely. In particular I would like to thank the Night Reception, Danny, and his incredible kindness that saved me from having what would otherwise be a dreadful day

Alle basis is in orde, maar voor een solo traveller is het niet ideaal. Locatie en voorzieningen prima

The hoste was brilliant was in a superb location very easy to find and the staff were very helpful but the only downside was i was sharing 4 man dorm with one other person who was very unfreindly i said hello and he totally blanked me and made it very uncomfortable ive never had that b4 when staying in a hostel it made mw feel like i was sharing a prison cell with him not that i would know what prison is like hahaha but thats nothing to do with this brilliant hostel

A bit too fancy for a backpackers hostel. Besides that amazing. Free food in the kitchen getting refilled daily: fruit, veggies and noodles, all regional

Hermoso hostel, muy cerca de la terminal. Muy recomendable!

I loved this hostel. I felt very welcome from the moment I arrived. They offer a welcome drink and the vibe is warm and friendly. They also did a free pasta dinner.

Overall I had a pretty good stay! The breakfast was incredible and I loved eating dinner out on the patio. Only tiny thing was the mattress was rock hard which was a lil rough to sleep on

best hostel ever

My first ostello bello and I was impressed! Loved the free cooking class and nighttime activities. Room was great and I was lucky to get a free upgrade to a 4 bedroom dorm. Good location right next to the train station. Friendly staff! Good sized lockers in room and kitchen equipped with everything you need. Would recommend to anyone travelling in Italy. Wish I had been able to stay longer!

The place and the staf made me feel at home right. Very careful regarding your experience, they made sure I could be in the disposition. The facilities are very furnished and make a lot of daily things way easier! Highly recommended!

ho trovato una calda accoglienza e una pronta risposta alle nostre domande. Abbiamo dormito in una simpatica camera matrimoniale. con bagno privato, ben arredata e con splendida vista sul porto. Buona prima colazione. Torneremo.

Located next to the port and the trainstaiton the reception welcomed us with a smiling face. charming introduction and then "wow how great are the sleeping rooms" feeling after going up to our room. The kitchen topped everything! Spacious,spotesly clean, all facilities including pasta, olive oil, Balsamico for free. Very convivial. Even without booking the breakfast we could drink every morning two italian coffees for free plus one welcome drink. Awesome!!!

really great location ! it was super nice to have a hostel that has a gym too. the kitchen, living room, etc. were clean but when it comes to the behind the scenes of the rooms they aren’t all that clean. ex. mold/rust in showers in bathroom. overall great stay & would come back :)

Le dortoir femmes à 4 était très bien, avec un petit salon et des lits simples, en fait c'était comme deux dortoirs à deux. Il y a des activités de proposées le soir pour ceux qui le souhaitent, assez axé fête pour les jours où j'y étais. J'ai participé au karaoké c'étaut très sympa. Le samedi soir il y avait du bruit jusqu'à au moins 2 heures du matin ( musique ), je pense que c'est un autre bar à côté - prenez des boules quies au cas où. Le dimanche soir c'était très ca...
