Hostel Marisol

When we tried to check in, no one was on-site, and we were unable to reach anyone. The location is situated in a residential area, removed from the city center. You stay in a room within a family home. Four dogs live in the house as well, and they bark frequently. Approximately ten people have to share a single bathroom; unfortunately, this meant having to wait repeatedly. The room offered very little sound insulation and was infested with ants. The online listet breakfast was not included.

Si bien estás a 1000m de la playa, el pueblo es muy chico y estás lejos de todo. No tiene agua caliente como promete en su publicación. La persona que atiende es amable.

Marisol war freundlich und ihre Hunde waren sehr süss! Der Pool war schön und die Küche gut ausgestattet. Aber leider war die Küche extrem dreckig und auch das Gemeinschaftsbad war nicht sauber. Und in unserem Dreibett Zimmer im Obergeschoss hörten wir die ganze Nacht Mäuse in der Zwischenwand und Decke, was uns immer wieder aufgeweckt hat.

Ich würde diese Unterkunft nicht als Hostel bezeichnen, sondern eher als die Mietung eines Zimmers bei einer Großfamilie. Man wohnt eher in deren Haus, wodurch ich mich unwohl gefühlt habe. Die Küche war in Ordnung aber etwas dreckig und die Herdplatten oft ewig mit deren Speisen besetzt. Einmal sind die Vermieter in unser Zimmer hereingelaufen ohne zu klopfen. Eigentlich hätten wir Frühstück inkl. gehabt, das gab es aber auch nicht. Für den Preis in Ordnung aber nun mal kein typisches H...

Marisol y su familia son muy amorosos y cálidos. Nos sentimos muy a gusto en su Hostel. Los espacios comunes son cómodos y las habitaciones tambien. Lo único que podría decir que no favorece al hospedaje son algunos de sus inquilinos estables. Una pareja que tenía peleas y discusiones.

Nous avons été merveilleusement accueilli chez Marisol et sa famille durant nos 4 jours à Samara. De très bons échanges, conseils et à l’écoute de nos questions sur les alentours ! Logement très propre, cuisine optimal pour cuisiner et une piscine pour s’y rafraîchir, vous y trouverez votre bonheur ! Merci beaucoup :)

We had an amazing time staying with Marisol and her family! Marisol was a wonderful host, and was very helpful with any questions or requests. Would highly recommend for someone looking for a wholesome Costa Rican experience!

Marisol was very nice and helpful. The bed and the room were really clean, but the kitchen, not so much. The breakfast is NOT included as it says (you have to pay extra for it, which te me, it's not what included is). This is more a casa particular than a hostel to me : no travellers were there with me, just Marisol family.
