L'appartement réservé était au 5eme étage sans ascenseur, donc voyant notre grimace, la personne a l'accueil nous a guidé vers un autre hôtel à 50m, "sophie hostel", la également accueil très sympathique, mais l’hôtel... d'un autre âge. Ne vous fiez pas au avis qui disent que c'est super.heuresement la clim fonctionne, les draps étaient propres. Mais l'état de la douche avec leau de la clim qui se verse dedans..les fenêtres qui ne ferment plus, les odeurs de cuisson de la rue. Fu...

I had the double room on the top floor. It’s what you get for the price. Not great and some things broken, cracked tiles, etc. AC works great. Fridge was gross. Shower head broken. Worth the price but pics made it look much better than it was. Maybe other rooms were nicer? Water and beer were cheap and the host was super nice. I would not stay again because I’m a picky American but again you get what you pay for and this was super cheap in a great location!

I stayed for 3 nights, the staff are lovely, so kind and welcoming, and the location is great, however the room was very small and I could hear everything from the building either side. The bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep well, 2 of the 3 nights, however the last night the people in the building next door got up at 4am and I could hear everything they were saying and couldn't sleep.

We booked on Hostelworld and it was full so we got sent to her sister and then that was full and got sent to her friend eventually maybe hour and half later we got in a beautiful hotel room w amazing view! Just Vietnam is chaotic I think and not organized but trust the process and you will get somewhere for the night. To be fair we booked only the day before so maybe it was our fault. The lady was so lovely tho regardless.

What an absolutely amazing stay I had at Laura House. I have never seen staff in any hostel work as hard as these lovely people do. The room was tidy, comfortable, good air conditioning, good shower. A key is provided to lock your room also. It’s a traditional hostel and you will have to go elsewhere to interact with other travellers but everything is a 5 minute walk away, (train street, note cafe etc) so this is not an issue. An amazing stay and cannot stress how hard working the staff are.

The host was easygoing and allowed me to leave my luggage during my trip to Sapa. I was traveling alone, so the room at the back was quite suitable. The host lives downstairs, so it felt quite safe.

This place really impressed me with how convenient the location is. It’s right in a lively neighborhood where everything feels within easy reach—cafés, local restaurants, small shops, and even major attractions are all just a short walk away. I really enjoyed being able to explore the city on foot without needing transport all the time. It made my trip feel more relaxed and flexible, especially when I just wanted to wander and discover things naturally. The area has a nice balance of energy...

This is a great place to stay, location is so central and the host couldn’t be more helpful. She arranged airport transfer, laundry and money exchange for us along with printing out our flight tickets! Nothing was too much to ask! The rooms themselves were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Stay here if you’re coming to Hanoi, it’s extremely good value for money

Er zijn hier allerlei soorten diensten: wasserij, zelfs schoenreiniging op dezelfde dag. Bij de ingang van het steegje zijn er veel lokale straatkraampjes met zitplaatsen op de stoep, wat ik best interessant vind.

Best place for people looking for a small but comfortable private room. Staff super friendly and helpfull.

Geweldige plek voor backpackers! De accommodatie heeft alles wat je nodig hebt — comfortabel, betaalbaar en de host is supervriendelijk. Ze bieden ook allerlei services aan: spa, wasservice, treintickets… noem maar op! Echt de moeite waard voor reizigers die onderweg zijn.

Perfect small and quiet hotel and the most fair price ever. Woman who runs the place is so kind and will help you with anything you need while you’re there!

Das Gästehaus bietet zahlreiche Serviceleistungen. Die Wirtin ist offen, freundlich und spricht gut Englisch. Sie organisiert auch Führungen, die überraschend günstig sind – manche sind sogar kostenlos. Bei Interesse an einer kostenlosen Führung kontaktieren Sie die Wirtin am besten vorab.

C'est une maison d'hôtes modeste et économique, propre et dotée de tout le confort nécessaire. Son emplacement est idéal, en plein cœur de la ville. De là, vous pouvez rejoindre à pied la rue du Train, et la célèbre cathédrale Saint-Joseph se trouve juste derrière la propriété. Une courte promenade vous mènera également au lac Hoan Kiem. Le quartier regorge de restaurants et de cafés locaux, et la propriétaire est très accueillante.

Laura is superenthousiast. De kamer bevindt zich op de vijfde verdieping – de trap voelt wat provisorisch aan, maar de ruimte is ruim en perfect voor jonge mensen die licht reizen. Bovendien ligt het midden in het stadscentrum!

De gastheer is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en de locatie kan echt niet beter – direct naast de Sint-Jozefkathedraal en het Hoan Kiem-meer!

Ich hab's hier wirklich gemocht in meinem private room. Ab und zu bekommt man die Straße mit, im Verhältnis zum zentralen Standort ist es hier jedoch relativ ruhig. Loan (Laura) ist rund um die Uhr für ihre Gäste verfügbar und spricht gutes Englisch. Sie gibt auf Nachfrage gerne Tipps für die Umgebung oder organisiert die Teilnahme an geführten Touren. Bin am Ende länger geblieben als geplant, würde ich wieder buchen.

A great and central place to stay in Hanoi. The room has everything you need and is realy good for the price. It can be a bit noisy in the evening or morning at times, though it has never bothered me during the night. If you want a nice room for yourself in the city, this is the place to book!
