- Unfortunately there were bedbugs. I informed the receptionist the next morning. This is a 4 star hotel, so bedbugs shouldn’t be acceptable.

- El hotel nome dejó dejar las maletas guardármelas vaya pretendían que fuera por Londres con ellas a cuesta , muchsisimo ruido por la noche , las empleadas desagradables no dan soluciones , éramos 10 personas para que nos guardasen las maletas le dio igual a esas de recepción

- The room is less than 6 square meter and it does not have a normal window. The window is facing the light well inside the building and directly opposite to the kitchen which also use the same lightwell for ventilation. The air inside room is so bad that it feels sometimes difficult to breathe even with airco on. Try to align with reception to change the room but get refused because the hotel is fully booked .

+ This hotel staff is the worst i have ever encountered, even though the hotel is in a good location the staff there let the whole hotel and the management down. Guests have to make sure that they checkout on time or they will be forced out of the hotel which was what happened to me. Checkout time is 1100 and check in time was 1400. Firstly on the day of my checkout , sharp at 11.05 i get a call from the reception in a rude voice asking me to checkout immediately or face extra charges, i told them that i was anyway going to checkout on time as i had to go for an appointment at 12 noon. Nevertheless, thereafter in about 10 minutes i heard 3 large bangs on my room door , and there was big lady from housekeeping asking me to checkout immediately in a rude tone. i told her that i had stayed 6 days and that this is not the way to make me leave the place.she was very rude asked me go and explain anything to reception . i went down to the reception and explained to them that i am okay to checkout at 11.00 as i was anyway going to do so but even though i had stayed 5 nights and this is not the way to make a guest leave. The housekeeping lady had quickly come down to the reception and was staring at me and made some very rude remarks. i told the receptionist i need to talk to the manager and they said they were in charge and i had to only talked to them ! As i was getting late for my appointment, i informed them that i will making a detailed story of my experience on trip advisor which taken as sarcastic nod! i am sure any traveller, would not want to leave a place un-happy , especially after staying almost a week. This hotel was the place i experienced the most rudest staff on all my travels, i regretted very much as i had spoiled my entire stay and took away unpleasant memories!!!!!!!!
- Staff attitude, especially the chief house keeper, rooms very tiny and noisy. most rooms are facing the road and road traffic noice is 24 hours.
+ Location
- Everything. Tiny rooms barely enough room to move around the bed, I banged and bruised my hip on sharp edges of furniture just trying to move between bed and wall as no gap. Room was in dingy basement and the room was adjacent to kitchen, which meant was woken at 6am by constant noise of loud extractor or fan outside and very loud voices of staff. Doors banging, boxes thrown and general loud, loud voices early in the morning. Bedroom window was opposite the kitchen door which was opened by staff so light from kitchen shone in and no privacy . Staff could see into room and I could see them no more than a few feet away from window unless blind was fully down. Complained as I checked at at 8.30am and staff just shrugged and said the room was settled. They offered no apology or explanation. There is zero chance that anyone staying in that room would sleep past 6am. Room was B09 AVOID IT AT ALL COST.
+ Didn't have breakfast
- The first room was on the ground floor G10 which we thought would be fine. We opened the door and we shocked to find that the room was in complete darkness in the middle of the afternoon. The glass in the 'window' was opaque, supposedly facing onto a lightwell. There was absolutely no light coming into the room. The room itself was tiny, barely able to move around and it was hot and airless. There was a Daikin air conditioner mounted on the wall so we immediately turned it on to 17°C to cool the room. At about 10pm the AC started to drip condensation! The noise of the drip was continuous and annoying and some of the condensation ran down the wall - extremely unhealthy. We told reception but there was no one to fix it at that time of night and the hotel was fully booked. We turned off the AC but the drip noise continued for an hour. We tried to sleep but the room was then way too hot. We opened the 'window' to try get some air but there was constant noise. The next morning after little to no sleep we demanded another room for our final night or a refund. We did get a different room later that day on the third floor (314). This room had a window in the bedroom and one in the bathroom - a full length clear glass window facing onto the Cromwell Road, right beside the toilet! Perfect for exhibitionists! Fortunately the roller blind came down to cover most of the body. The air conditioner was inbuilt but didn't really cool the room. The windows were obviously single glazed because the traffic noise was worse than the previous night. Oh, and the room was smaller than G10, the bed was pushed right up against the window, necessitating climbing across the other person to get out. We had a second night of little sleep. Thank goodness, we left early the next morning.

+ It was great to find such a cheap single room. So many hotels don't have single rooms and we single travellers always end up paying more.
- Floor tiles instead of carpet in the bedroom made it feel a little cold. The room was in the basement but for one night it didn't matter.

- Die Zimmer sind extrem hellhörig! Wir hatten ein Zimmer im - 1,also Untergeschoss, neben den Angestelltenräumen!Ab 6.30 wurden Türen und Schränke aufgemacht und zugemacht, plus das Geschwätz der Angestellten!Da schläft keiner mehr. Kissen extrem unbequem und viel zu kleines Bett (1.40) für zwei Personen im Doppelzimmer. Die Heizung/Klimaanlage wird zentralreguliert.Man muss an der Rezeption sagen,wieviel Grad man im Zimmer haben will!

- Only one bedside table for a double bed seemed odd and impractical for person sleeping on that side. Mattress a tad soft.

- L’isolation au niveau des fenêtres, pas de possibilité d’être totalement dans le noir malgré les 2 stores
+ The price point was excellent for a twin room and enabled us to stay 2 nights for our budget instead of 1. Extremely easy walking access to main public museums and to the rest of the city as 5min walk from Gloucester Road station. Polite and efficient staff at the reception desk. And the army of cleaners keep everything clean and comfortable.
- A little difficult to move around the room due to the small size. Definitely do not recommend the basic ensuite for the larger person as the toilet would be difficult to access.

+ It was very clean and at a very communicative location. Overall a great stay for a reasonable price. I was really impressed that they contacted me after checkout about some forgotten stuff. The staff was really friendly and helpful.
