Lub d Koh Samui Chaweng Beach

Please be careful. I got a huge bedbug bite on my arm which still has not gone away after four weeks. I complained at reception who send cleaners to check the matress. The matress had many bedbugs but both the manager and the cleaners denied it. The manager had not a single clue of how to address the situation, he did not even try to say he was sorry, he just denied everything all the time. Unfortunately, I have pictures

too start with the reception staff the day we got there was quiet rude , there was some really nice staff in other parts of the hotel but not so much reception, we checked in went to have a look around the pool is so filthy it’s unreal i never once seen anyone clean it there was leaves and others things just floating about and you could see the colour of the water , i then got to my ‘ city view room’ that was facing the a brick wall of the next hotel? i went down too reception and tried to explain but they was just acting confused like i said sea view, i translated it for them and they still acted the same ever since then they was even ruder , the clothes rack on the balcony was behind the door that opens outwards so you couldn’t even use it, i now have bits all over me some how too, i never get bitten and never have i have been in thailand 10 days before this and all of sudden I get to this hotel and i now what looks like bedbug bites, a few days later i got a minor washable stain on the bedding , when i next came too reception i got asked to come over and then she pulls up a picture on her pc of the stain saying and what stain is this infront of a lot of people, i explained to her it was an accident and they wanted to charge me for it! like the bedding was not going to get washed anyways, well you should hope so anyways that might have something to do with possible bed bugs

This hostel is very overpriced. It’s basically like love island apart from the fact that you can catch bed bugs on this island. The team were very friendly however and quickly resolved the bed bug problem however I do think I am owed a few BHAT in compensation for all the tiny bites all over my back. The breakfast is also a bit overpriced so make sure you add it to your booking. There are also baby’s saying here so you feel a bit like you’re saying in a kids club.

Got bedbugs here!! And we were not the only room to experience that. Huge bummer because otherwise this would have been my favorite hostel in SE Asia. Gorgeous pool and beach, friendly staff. They need to fix the bed bug problem and come up with a better protocol on how to handle it.
