Stay Swanky

Meu quarto era nojento, sujo, apertado. As janelas davam diretamente para o bar, então deixar as janelas abertas para ventilar não era uma opção pelo barulho alto (até tarde) e pela fumaça de cigarro que entrava. Pra melhorar, o ar condicionado ficava em cima de uma das camas, então a pessoa dessa cama congelava e ainda assim não refrescava o quarto todo, já que as camas têm cortinas. Os banheiros são ainda mais nojentos que os quartos. Além da umidade e cheiro de bolor, a limpeza ...

The room & bathroom were gross, really weird set up & awful smell. There are no pictures of the 'room', a converted damp hut, on their website. It had a big curtain across the door which was a pain for everyone & 'personal' lights per bed brighter than the sun, especially with painful roomies who 'need' their light to scroll IG all night. The restaurant onsite is fantastic, but the bar upstairs was short-staffed & took ages to get served. Really poor experience & would not recommend.

It's not at all what I expected; beside good location you must be able to sleep with very loud, boring music until late hours, and the reception thinks that since its a hostel you must endure whatever comes on your way.

Absolute nonsense how this hostel has good reviews. Nothing like the pictures and worst hostel we stayed in. Felt like a prison cell with no privacy and dirty bed sheets. We asked to switch rooms but the black hair girl told us there was no other rooms available for the night and the next day and advised we speak to the manager the next day. The manager was super unhelpful and promised to contact me via email about a refund and never did. Very disappointed and wasted money on this barn.

The hostel uses your personal information for advertising purposes, even 9 months after you've checked out. That's a big violation of the GDPR and not part of the informed consent given when checking in to a hostel.

A really dirty hostel. In our room lives a cat, he sleep on all the beds en brought a little mouse inside. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned in the days I stayed at the hostel.

Ugh. I booked this place as it had been recommended by a friend who had been about five years ago. I think it must have gone really downhill since she stayed. The first issue was that I paid for a room with an en-suite but the shower was broken for the whole of my stay and I had to go to another part of the hostel to wash but was still charged the same amount despite this. Honestly was really disappointed, might have been unlucky with the dates (weekend). - the door lock system was broken, resulting in everyone knocking all night. No sleep - they do't ban stag parties or kids, hardly had other solo travelers in my dorm. - one toilet for 8 dorms. - whole hostel is filled with signs, do this, do that. I get you want to be eco friendly but the tone made me think of my mum growing up. - skinny girl with glasses, worst check in I had in 8 years of travel

Si vous ne voulez pas faire la fête, ce n'est pas le bon hôtel. De plus, la propreté n'est pas une priorité : lit moisi (ou des punaises de lit ?), humidité...Enfin, ma chambre était juste à côté du bar donc il y avait beaucoup de bruit.

Stayed in one of the mixed dorms in the lower level of the hostel and it was okay. The floors were pretty dirty and the bathroom in the room was also pretty dirty. Beds were comfortable though and we were able to lock up our stuff. The atmosphere was great though and the staff were super nice! Loved that there was a pool, great bar on site, and how close this spot was to everything!

This was a very comfortable place to stay for the night in Zagreb. Maybe it is just the off season in early May but it was almost empty in the hostel. I was the only one in my room which was nice for a peaceful night, but this did not seem like the most social hostel environment. But it was comfortable and very clean!

OT was the best decision to stay in this place. Staff are nice and helpful. I love the bar, the area is close to the center. Their is a sense of community in the hostel. Would recommend.

I had a great stay at Swanky. Friendly staff, very helpful, everything was very clean. I recommend the bar as well to make great friends!

Location was fantastic and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Not the most welcoming common area and atmosphere. The facilities in the bedroom were very dirty and board-line unusable (note this was in 9-bed shared dorm) perhaps the smaller private rooms were more satisfactory and I just caught this on a bad few days

One of the best hostels I’ve tried! Such nice staff, who were very helpful when it came to recommendations and questions. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing! Especially the area above the reception - I hope to come back in warmer weather!

Had a great stay, would book again! It’s nice to have a bathroom per room so I don’t have to share it with men after booking an „all ladies“ room. The only problem was that the entrance door was right in the courtyard. People who talked outside were really loud sometimes.. But in general a really nice hostel!

Cool hostel located near the centre. The only downside was not being there in the summer to enjoy the pool. Overall, a decent stay.

I think I must have visited during the off-peak season. I’m a solo traveller and stayed in a nine-bed dorm, but there were only three of us in the room. The communal area was nice, but when I sat there for two hours one evening (between 6pm and 8pm), I didn't see a single soul. However, I can see why this hostel has such high ratings, I imagine the atmosphere would be much better during the busy peak season.

everything was great! shoutout the great staff especially the volunteers emma & ana. give em a raise! hahah

My stay was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My only issue was I was unable to get out at 4 o’clock in the morning as the gate wouldn’t unlock from inside and there was no staff or no emergency number at that time I’m nearly with my flight because of this

I stayed in a private room with an en-suite. The room included coffee and tea-making facilities and was comfortable, more like a hotel room than a typical hostel. There’s also a good on-site Asian fusion restaurant, which was a nice convenience during my stay.

Staying there was amazing. We barely left. Alternative looking, nice kitchen, nice rooms, loved the chill atmosphere and nice people

Only stayed one night and wish I had longer to stay. The staff were really lovely and helpful, clean safe room, with nice shower and I liked the privacy curtain in the dorm. Sad I didn’t get chance to use the pool. If I’m ever in Zagreb again I will stay again, thanks :)
