Hostel Bureau

Firstly i will talk about positive point which is location its precise if you want to be in centre. Then the hostel is not for travellers or tourists because rooms are not at all clean and people are living there for months because they are working in zagreb not travellers plus washrooms are also not clean. Very disappointing experience, if you are traveller and looking for good experience then this place is not for you.

The lady at the front desk was great. She was very welcoming and helped me plan where to go. The rest of the hostel was absolutely terrible. To start I go into my room and there is a guy with shopping bags all offer the room-appeared to have been there for 2 months. Went to front desk and lady changed my room but then an old dude(probably 75/80) joined the room and sounded like he was dying the whole night. I would have been surprised if there were any other guests under the age of 40.

I do not recommend this hostel, especially for solo travellers. It is located inside a school, so expect large groups of teen school students inside the hostel and smoking in front of it. It feels extremely odd living in a school. It also has a lot of people in their 60s-70s who are permanently living in the hostel bunks, which felt sad. It is located down a dark alleyway which doesn’t feel safe at night. There is no social atmosphere or places to meet other solo travellers. Do not recommend.

Bed bugs. I complained showing staff my bites and followed it up with an email attaching photos after I had to move to a hotel and all they offered me was a free nights stay there .. when I obviously will never be returning. Very upset with the amount of bug bites and the way it has been delt with. I will be recommending people NOT to stay there.

Only stayed here one night and was getting cabin fever

The hostel is fine, but compared to others in the region is overpriced. The bed is uncomfortable, the walls are dirty, the kitchen was also not super clean. The walls seem to be made of paper, so thin they are. The shower doors cannot be locked, which for me was a big no go. I left the hostel earlier and still had to lay for the extra night. Staff is pleasant and was the best part of it.

Atmosphere deader than in a funeral, literally 0 ppl in the common areas during peak season (End of July and after 21:00) Entry and walkway to the hostel was dodgy at best, It was right next to construction so right at 8am it was impossible to sleep with the noise. Top bunk bed didnt even have a power outlet. Showers were terrible, only had 1 functioning male toilet for 19 dorm rooms. Will never return to this hostel, would rather sleep on the street.

Mby make the beds a bit more private. The toilets are not very private aswell

Decent hostel if you’re looking for a bed for a night or two. Good location within walking distances of main things and plenty of space in room. Downside for me was vibe seemed more suited to school or travelling groups etc. rather than backpackers.

Good stay. Helpful staff. Little kitchen. Cool massage chair. Comfy bed. Who could ever ask for more?

Chambre et sanitaires propres mais cuisine trop petite, personnel sympathique

Està en ple centre, els carrers més animats de la ciutat alta, i els grans jardins i palaus de la ciutat baixa estan a Poc minuts a peu. També està molt ben comunicat amb les estacions de tren i de bus.

Not a back packers hostel, more an itinerant workers hostel. Staff were great. Good kitchen. Good location although it looks a little sketchy at the back of a dark car park. Minutes from the main square, supermarket, trams, bars etc.

It's nothing special but a perfectly fine and comfortable place to stay to check out zagreb.

Enjoyed my stay here while visiting during new years. The hostel is near lots of shops and restaurants.

Overall a good option for a stay in Zagreb. The facilities weren't anything superb, and my dormmate didn't understand how to lock the door (they don't automatically lock when closed), so I honestly am not sure if our room was secure overnight. But overall I felt safe.

Really nice place to stay. Enjoyed the kitchens and common spaces. Nice people to chat with. The highlight was the staff! We arrived late and they were so welcoming. I lost a pair of gloves and they were returned to me.

El hostel bureau esta en una ubicación difícil de encontrar. Pero vale la pena por su personal y su cercanía al centro de zagreb!

What a fantastic part of Zagreb to stay in. The staff were great but the facilities are poor and need updating. There was no camaraderie between guests as there is no proper common room. Kitchen is tiny and common room Is in basement no one uses it. People congregate in the hall outside your bedroom so you can't sleep. But stepping out into the pedestrian area near Old Town with restaurants and shops galore and trams at the door makes up for this

Buen hostel, perfecto para los que buscan algo económico pero no es muy social.

Diana at reception was great. She was very helpful. Hostel is clean. The kitchen is bit small for the number of guests. I would recommend staying here.

Staff at reception were lovely and helpful. Hostel atmosphere was a bit strange, seemed like there were a few people living there. The showers didn’t feel super private with nowhere to keep things. Also no plugs to charge phone from top bunk. Everything was clean, fine to stay for a night.

Muy simpática la recepcionista rubia mucha amabilidad y Cortez. El ambiente al ingreso del hostal es medio extraño.

Good hostel! Situated right in the centre of Zagreb, about a 5 min walk from the main square. The rooms were nice, and the bathrooms were good. The only issue is that the sensor lights turn off while you’re in the shower, so I ended up showering in the dark! Staff were lovely and helpful. Not the most social hostel, vibes were a bit strange but everyone kept to themselves. Depends on who else is there at the time!
