Moon Hostel

Hostel was rather gross! Super dirty, sheets and general room felt gross. Walking up and down stairs thought I was going to fall as stair are black and they had awful lighting. Kitchen was disgusting and went upstairs to kitchen at 10am and it was locked. It’s supposed to be 24/7 as also reception. And hostel doesn’t tell you how to get into building at all + no buzzer so just had to stand and wait until someone opened door also they should advise you must walk up 3 flight of stairs to recep...

Sadly, peobaly the worst hostel I've ever stayed in across several continents. Very very dirty, no security for luggage or rooms, tiny kitchen that was locked till noon so couldn't make breakfast. No 24/7 reception like advertised. Horrendous smell in room that mecer left no matter how long windows were open. Location is good, hostel guy is chill and friendly however unbothered to concerns and price is really good. However would never come again.

At the beginning seems good and nice the location it’s perfect, unfortunately there’s some bugs in the bed ……

This hostel was pants! I got in my nice bed n stuff and then I got floppin jumped by like 7 bed bugs. Now I hear u thinking ahh another bed bug winger but these mfs were savage. Ended up sleepin on the sticky floor and slappin any bugs that came my way. 1st floor bed 3 n 4 is where they at. Also just of mention dudes in the same room were what you’d expect, one kept Jackin it, the other was a crack head, someone left pubes in shower. Good location chill host, bit of a tip, bed bugs bite me.

There are BEDBUGS in the hostel. I saw them. Other hosts saw them. When I told the owner (by messages because he wasn't there), he simply asked me if I wanted change my bed, which would not have solved the problem because bedbugs were everywhere. When I asked for a refund because I would leave and not stay for the 4 nights I booked, the owner didn't even answer to me ...

The place is very well located, excellent facilities however there is no reception which makes you feel very unsafe. There was someone in charge of the hostel however he was not around most of the time. I would not recommend staying here.

Woke up at 2am to a bed bug crawling on the curtain. Cannot sleep and will have to throw away my clothes. Completely ruined my trip The new bed I was moved to also had bed bugs in the blankets and other guests had the same issue on my floor.

Bedsheets smelled like a sweaty person had just slept in them. The staff had not changed them since the last guest at least. It was gross. Also, the silence from 11 pm to 10 am room was not respected. People were speaking loud past 1 am and prior to 10 am. The bathrooms were clean and the shower was very pleasant. The locker is sturdy and spacious.

I stayed in private room. The lock was broken, so it couldn’t be secured from the outside, which felt unsafe even though there was a locker for belongings. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell - like sweat - that was everywhere, including inside the private room. The mattress was sagging, and the headboard was made of metal bars; I hit my head while sleeping (I’m only 1.65m tall). The Wi-Fi connection didn’t work. On the positive side, the location is very good and check-in smooth.

We stayed three nights there, but one would have already been too much. Bed bugs hiding under the mattresses and on the curtains, at every floor. We were told that the rooms had been treated only to find out in the evening that they are still nests of really much alive bedbugs in multiple beds. Ended up sleeping in the common area, on the floor, on thin mattresses. The manager reimbursed us for only one night. Hoping to have come out of this nightmare without having brought any insects home.

Place is very safe and very clean. Yunus maked very comfortable and chill place for guests .He is very cool guy . I wanna say thank to him. Eyvallah bro

day 1: I noticed there was no cold water in the bathroom of my dorm. I showered cold and thought they will probably fix it soon. Day 2: the bathroom was flooded since water was leaking from the ceiling. but i thought yk its a cheap hostel. Day 3: I wake up and there is no electricity in my room. its now 24 h later and none of this is fixed and the owners did not hang a sign explaining what is happening or offering explanations or solutions.

I highly recommend this place, I found good people to spend a good vacation . The staff iare very helpful and nice. I will choose this as main hostel in Istanbul because it's very safe and the staff are very friendly. They answer each guest's questions with welcoming Turkish hospitality. Great time there and friendly staff.

Phonemenal spot, super clean and well taken care of. Staff are really friendly, its a shott walk to reach anything you want to see in İstanbul. Perfect for location, excellent for town. One of my favourite hostel i have ever done so far. The place has nice terrace balkon

Central location and smily workers

Very nice and clean place

I really enjoyed the hostel. I do think there could be improvements though, especially in the bathrooms. There are no hooks for your clothes and also (at least in the bathroom of my dorm) the toilet didn’t have a lid, wich made it hard to find space to hang up your clothes while in the shower. And the space that was there was quite often occupied by someone else. Also the dorm rooms didn’t have a working closing mechanism, wich often led to the doors standing very open. The people are great...

Günstiges, zentrales Hostel. Bequeme Betten mit Vorhang und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Die Menschen im Hostel sind recht offen. Das Bad ist etwas dreckig. Nachts ist es ziemlich laut in den Zimmern wegen den Bars nebenan. Alles in allem würde ich das Hostel weiterempfehlen.

The hostel is super well located, the price is excellent and it has a good infrastructure. Yunus and Buda are great hosts and super affordable. So I highly recommend it!

Moon hostel is great, bunk beds are very sturdy, duvets and bedding are high quality and warm, kitchen facilities are perfect for cooking, staff are very friendly, I've been here 3 weeks now, very difficult to leave the place if great
