The 4 person mixed dorm with shower is a SERIOUS HEALTH RISK DUE TO BLACK MOLD and COCKROACHES. My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights (1night in the 8 person mixed dorm and 4 nights in the 4 person mixed dorm). The 8 person mixed dorm and shared showers was great for the night we had it but for the following nights we were moved to the 4 person mixed dorm. This room has zero ventilation and has an attached combined bathroom/shower that was completely covered in black mold in the shower/on th...
Staff were friendly at reception however the noise was crazy. The night guard blared tiktoks until very late and then early in the morning the staff chatted very loudly in the common area then began playing loud music before 9am. Cleanliness was also a big issue. There were no sheets provided on the beds, only a blanket which they do not change between guests (we watched the cleaner change the base sheet and pillow case and put the same blanket down. Room was also boiling and no fans available.
No kitchen to cook at all, and extremely mediocre breakfast. Paying by card also incurs a 5% surcharge. Much better hostels for the same cost throughout Antigua.
It's a beautiful, clean hostel with great facilities. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy but overall the hostel is on the expensive side for Antigua and it is a bit further away from the main square than others I stayed in. The atmosphere was a bit lacking but overall for a relaxed stay I definitely recommend!
Bathroom is not clean! For that price I would expect a clean bathroom. There is not really a social vibe.
unfortunately not recommend for coworking.wifi for video calls wasn't great and table is to high to work on. also open space to the 'living' room which makes it noisy. dorms are comfortable with big lockers, hot showers. no coffee with quite plain breakfast. one of the staff is very loud at night and my take away breakfast for the Acatenango hike simply wasn't there even after being promised and put on a list.
+ The staff are really friendly, the dorms are clean and have a good sized locker for your luggage. The terrace is lovely and free breakfast was tasty. Location is good, easy walking distance to the main spots and nice and quiet at night.
- The en suite bathroom to the dorm wasn’t very nice compared to the communal washrooms. It’s not a very social hostel and really hard to meet other travellers. The price seems quite high in comparison to the quality of other hostels I stayed in Antigua for a similar price.
It has a really nice garden and area to hang out and is very pretty. However I found that the essential facilities weren't great - there were only two showers and two toilets for all the dorms. The showers were poorly organised where there was nowhere to hang your towel and clothes in or next to the cubicles. Our dorm was next to a very loud street, despite the hostel not being very central so it was very noisy. The beds were pretty comfortable, had a good curtain, power points and lamps though.
Really nice hostel and one of the cleanest we have stayed in. Was overpriced but this was largely due to it being Easter week when we stayed. Communal areas are a bit stale and not the best for meeting people. Need to ask people to pack the night before if doing volcano hike as people getting up at 6am and packing their bags in dorms is a daily occurrence! Breakfast was good but should include free coffee.
I think this hostel has a lot of potential. It is truly beautiful and has a wonderful rooftop, but there are a few things missing. - you cannot use the kitchen at all…if you want to store something in the fridge you have to ask permission - the price is bumped because of the included breakfast, but they only rotate between a yogurt bowl and a bagel. You can get a better and cheaper breakfast in town as Antigua has incredible breakfast culture - really far from the main square

Bloom was such a relaxed vibe I really loved it. Gorgeous roof top with a view, amazing included breakfast, super friendly and helpful staff. It was perfect. Very chilled, which is exactly what I wanted, wouldn’t stay here if you’re looking for a party hostel

Bloom its an amazing place. super cozy very confortable. and the staff its very helpfull and dedicated. so good that i extended my stay
The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful, everything was super clean, and the bunks in the shared dorms were so stable (not squeaky or rickety whatsoever). Loved my stay at Bloom.
super cosy beds with curtains. kind of on a noisy street. no real atmosphere when I was there. bathrooms/shower clean although had weird smell. both terraces chill to hang out on. they provide water which is nice! didn’t eat the food there.
Very cute hostel and the staff were really nice. It was easy to communicate and book adventures.
Great hostel, very clean, super friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were spacious and the terrace was great
People are amazing, staff super friendly and good beds.
Amazing hostel with great breakfast, two terraces, a lovely little courtyard and volcano views. The bunk beds are really nice with curtains for privacy. Downtown Antigua is in walking distance. I also felt safe to walk there. Additionally, the place has a coffee shop, organizes tours and shuttles.
The people who work and volunteer here were all very nice. The front desk people were helpful. Unfortunate someone did not return my charger from here.
Safe and clean! It felt super calm and relaxing. The breakfast was so good and the part of town was nice:) a little outside of the city center, but it was nice and quiet
I had a very nice stay here. everything was just perfect. The rooms were very comfortable.I especially appreciated the privacy and the amount of space. The common areas are amazing with beautiful views of the volcano. The staff were also very kind and welcoming. I really recomend this hostel!
