KEX Hostel and Hotel

Very disappointing stay. Parking was hard to find, and no shampoo or shower gel was provided in any of the 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms, which is a basic amenity that should have been available (photo attached) (guess they did it purposely😅). I requested shampoo at 10 PM and was told it would arrive in 5 minutes, but it only showed up the next morning. (Also a joke😅…) To make matters worse, my aunt's room had bed bugs and she was bitten multiple times. (Photo attached) Unacceptable cleanliness and poor service.

- I had bed bugs - They gave me a new room but apart from that they ignored me. No one asked me if I needed anything, if I‘m okay or apologized. - I told them to wash my clothes. They did but it took two days longer than promised. Alos I had to go ask twice amd call the laundry myself. aonly then the manager was informed. She was the only one that finally said sorry. I also asked them, if they have plastic bags so I could pack accordingly and try not to take the bed bugs home. They promised to organise them but forgot and I had to go and buy them myself. - In generals not helpful and very unfriendly staff. They even tried to pin the bed bugs on me. So I talked to a specialist back home and did a lot of research. It is impossible I brought the bed bugs since they were already very big. - Another thing: there was a huge construction site next door and very loud in the morning and during the day.

Smells. Bathrooms generally a little dirty. My friend had bed bugs in her room. Beds were very uncomfortable and very squeaky. Way more than other hostels

Showers felt unclean. Friends staying in room 310 unfortunately got bitten by bed bugs. During the stay their room was uncomfortably hot and humid, even with the windows open. The ones sleeping in the hot and damp beds next to the pipes had the worst bed bugs bites (face, arms legs, torso).

A cool facility and a great location with all the famous landmarks within 10 mins of walking distance. Seems like a good social atmosphere too. My only complaint is I had a bed bug issue on my first night and with so many people coming and going, I understand it's not always the hostel's fault, but I wasn't impressed with how the hostel handled the issue when I brought up the concern to them.

Nice decor. But I think the bed I slept in had bedbugs. I got little bites all over me the next day.
