+ Smells like poop
- Lençóis sujos, falta d’água, ausência de informação, foi tudo péssimo. Estou acostumada a me hospedar em hostels e essa foi disparada uma das piores experiências.
+ La decoración
- -ese día había corte de agua y decían q tenían una alternativa para los baños que resultó ser tirar la cadena con 1 jarro pero a pesar que el jarro si estaba,no tenían agua disponible cerca por lo tanto tuve que hacer pis sobre el pis de otras personas. La casa es antigua y la madera suena demasiado por lo que cuando era de mañana me desperté por el ruido de alguien que estaba limpiando y no pude dormir más,aparte el precio que aparece en la página no es igual,contemple eso porque luego debes pagar más y en mi caso cpn el inconveniente del agua me hubiese gustado algún descuento o que al menos tuvieran bidones de agua para tirar la cadena pero nada No volveré
+ Os espaços comuns são bem projetados e cheios de personalidade, o que torna o local agradável para relaxar e socializar. A localização também é ótima, perto de várias atrações turísticas, o que facilita muito para quem está viajando. No entanto, como mencionei, o barulho à noite foi um problema que impactou bastante a minha estadia. Seria excelente se o hostel pudesse encontrar uma solução para melhorar o descanso dos hóspedes durante a noite, mas no geral, a estética e a atmosfera do lugar são ótimas.
- Minha estadia neste hostel foi extremamente frustrante. O maior problema foi o barulho incessante durante a noite, que foi tão alto que o chão tremia. Isso dificultou completamente o descanso, e, infelizmente, parecia que não havia possibilidade de desligar o som ou minimizar o volume. Isso tornou impossível dormir, e eu e outros hóspedes ficamos extremamente incomodados. Entendo que, em um hostel, pode haver um pouco de movimento, mas o nível de barulho estava em um ponto inaceitável. Para uma experiência de viagem, o mínimo que se espera é poder descansar durante a noite. Infelizmente, isso não foi possível aqui. Além disso, o atendimento não foi capaz de resolver a situação, o que só tornou a experiência ainda pior. Sugiro que a administração tome medidas sérias para garantir que outros hóspedes não passem pela mesma situação. Não voltaria e não recomendo para quem busca um lugar tranquilo para descansar.
- They blasted music in the hostwl bar until 3am. I couldn't sleep.

- Nag robbed by hostel volunteers and them refusing to show us any security footage despite there being over 5 cameras around our room

Probably the worst hostel I’ve stayed at in terms of organising events and engaging those staying there. There was a WhatsApp group but there were no messages in the 3 days I stayed there. The bathrooms were filthy and the rooms were quite cold. There was only one proper plug in a room with 4 people. The location was fine but surrounded by nightclubs so might be a different story at weekends
Diversos problemas e alguns deles sérios. Primeiro, 3 ou 4 residentes comentando sobre pequenos furtos e perdas de itens (um incluindo um dos funcionários). Fui indicado a um quarto que não possuía banheiro privativo, me disseram que me migrariam de quarto no terceiro dia. Não tinha toalha no quarto e quase que não tinha nenhuma no hostel. Quando chegou a hora de migrar meu quarto, confirmei duas vezes e acordei cedo para tirar tudo do quarto e deram pra outro hóspede. Falta comunicação...
First, 3 or 4 residents commenting on small thefts and loss of items (one including one of the two employees). I was referred to a room that didn't have a private bathroom, I was told I would be moving out of the room on the third day. I had no towel in the room and almost none in the hostel. When it was time to move my room, I checked twice and woke up early to take everything out of the room and give it to another guest. Lack of communication, no limit.

My first time staying in a hostel and it was really good. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and the location was perfect. Lots of different common areas to vibe and meet people or to quietly read a book. I would def stay here again.
Really lovely spacious hostel, the stay was awesome. The staff are also very friendly and the bar is a nice spot to meet other travelers.

None of the hostels I could find in Santiago were that well reviewed but I liked the look of La Chimba. It was quiet when I was there which can't be helped but there isn't really a universal social space as it's very spread out. The dorm was also freezing cold each night - warm showers though. Location is a 10 min walk from the metro which doesn't feel super safe in the evening but the main street does have lots of bars and restaurants nearby so if you go, stick to walking in the busy area.
Great vibe! Loved it here, definitely recommend staying.
Has everything you need, is very social. Staff is nice. I could store my bag here for free while I went to Easter Island.
This hostel was nice to chill in Santiago, the only down fall is the location at night. I couldn’t say it’s the safest area to be

pretty ok location, most of the people arriving here are groups, therefore harder for solo travelers to connect to people. other than that pretty nice
The staff were lovely and our room was good! The place is massive so lots of social areas to choose from. The surrounding area isn’t the safest to be, especially at night but they have very secure gates so there’s no question of safety within the hostel itself. Also, it’s really loud at night if you get a room near the front but if you’re at the back it’s perfect!

Cooles Hostel. Kamen hier nach unserem Flug hin und wurden herzlichst begrüßt. Das hostel bietet viele Aktivitäten an, kann die Stadtführung mit Alejandra und den Pubcrawl mega empfehlen. Zwei Küchen gibts wo man ganz gut kochen kann. Alles in allem war’s echt nice.
Cooles Hostel. Came here after our flight and were warmly welcomed. The hostel offers many activities, can highly recommend the Stadtführung with Alejandra and the Pubcrawl. Two Kitchen Ghibts where you can cook very well. Everything in all was really nice.
This hostel was excellent we loved the place and the facilities were great. We had some very anti-social behaviour due to other travellers in our dorm, the staff allowed us to move rooms no added charge

Sinceramente esperaba que las habitaciones sean un poco mejores. el colchon estaba vencido y las almohadas y sabanas tenian demasiado uso. el mantenimiento general del lugar es bastante mediocre
I sincerely hoped the rooms were a little better. the mattress was outdated and the pillows and saunas were too much use. the overall maintenance of the place is quite mediocre
I really liked this hostel. Cool vibes from the minute you walk in. The place is huge and has plenty of outdoor space and indoor space available for hanging out. The staff was helpful and friendly. I also thought the neighborhood around the hostel was super cool.
