Xi'an Desti Youth Park Hostel Bell & Drum Tower

I forgot my AirPods in my room. I left the country the next day so I couldn't go get them. I realized it during the day so I sent 4 emails to the hostel who never answered me. They stole me.

As other reviews say, the staff are very cold and unfriendly, it gives the place a bad vibe. Everyone I met there agreed, not sure what’s going on! Also, the heating is on permanently over winter. If you’re in a room without a window, this means the room will be very hot and have no fresh airflow, it was awful.

My review may be skewed because of the Chinese new year… but it says youth hostel and everyone in my room was an adult male and there was an even a child in my room, hard to meet others here as there’s no events or group chat organized by the hostel, and it does have potential. Hot shower, nice beds, great location and good price. Being in a room with the Chinese with their civic senses is also difficult, loud noises, rudeness, constant movement and lights being turned on , etc

Nice location and seems like a cool bar. Except for one volunteer staff member the rest seemed like you were inconveniencing them by being there. One staff member came into the room at midnight to yell at a guest, surely could of waited til the morning to deal with. The bathrooms are a bit grimy around the edges and the mens bathroom smelt like an ash tray. The room itself is ok but the A/C didn't work and it was like a sauna. Ask staff about it was told nothing they could do. Was barely Ok.

Clean, plenty of showers and toilets. Good location, there’s a shuttle bus that takes you to see the terracota warriors and the others things to see are right there. Super close to the metro station.

Nice hostel!

Very difficult to find. Great location, right next to the Muslim quarter and bell tower. To find it look on google reviews. Otherwise it’s next to the Apple Store through the clear blinds and then you turn left through more clear curtains and there should be a lift where it’s on one of the levels

We loved our stay in this hostel! The vibe was great, as a European traveller we haven’t found many social hostels but this one was really great. Pool tournament and live music was fun. Plenty of showers etc for everyone and constantly cleaned. Only thing that let this place down was the really noisy guests during the night. Both nights people were stood in the middle of the room chatting loudly at 2am? Despite this, we loved our stay. Thanks!

Best location ever. Really close to the metro station. Big Hostel, clean, good vibe and the staff spoke English. Totally recommend it

Very central, cool, cosy, comfortable, and convenient. The lounge is chilled and spacious. Feedback: the toilets and bathrooms should be attended only by same sex cleaning staff

Die Mitarbeiter sind extrem hilfsbereit und freundlich (Lincoln und Heidi). Auch sonst alles in einem super Zustand. Gerne wieder.

The property was in a great location, it was clean and quiet in the rooms. There were lots of bathrooms and showers which were all super clean and lots of stuff going on close by. It was a huge hostel with over 400 beds so actually harder to meet people compared to a smaller family run hostel. Lovely stay!

best hostel I stayed in whilst CHINA & HK (Yangshou, Chonqing, Chengdu). Will definitely look for DESTI chain when returning to an locations 👍 Super clean, towel & slippers provided, outdoor shoes kept in large locker room for the floor which was entirely designated for Female 🚺 fried egg & salad from bar nice for brunch. GREAT LOCATION! loads of seating, in very large lounge with bar. luggage storage for people mooching daytime about after checkout. Keep it simple & book here!

Great location and staff. The dorm rooms and beds are comfortable and come with free towels. However the smell of smoke from the bathrooms is overwhelming and makes the toilets and showers feel very unclean.
