The 50 bed shared dorm was a horrible experience, the mess in this hostel room was insane. I felt very unsafe here especially with no lockers. The dorm room was uncomfortably hot with only fans that were very loud making it hard to sleep here. I would not at all recommend the 50 bed dorm room and definetly overpaid.

I’m not one to complain but pay 4$ more to go to any other hostel!!! This was our worst hostel in Australia. The room is completely disgusting, it was like 15 degrees outside but over 30 degrees in our room despite the fans but we slept so horribly. Mostly long term people, a lot of people smoke weed and cigarettes which smells in the hostels even in the shower. The dishes are always dirty and in the sink. The hostel is old and the staff lied to us about the rooms… our first room (#4) smelle...

Me and my friend ended up shifting to another hostel, because we couldn’t stand the heat and smell in the rooms. The staff really didn’t do much or maybe they couldn’t… the kitchen were dirty and the bathrooms weren’t better:( I wouldn’t recommend. People ended up sleeping in the common room.

The hostel is incredibly hot. Old fans that make more noise than actual circulation. Very obvious that lots of the people staying there are very long term. Not very friendly or welcoming as a group, lots of people just sat around. Very noisy hostel too. Toilets/showers are not cleaned properly.

Front desk staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay for myself and a group of friends! However, I would not recommend this hostel for solo female travellers. The hostel was one of the dirtiest I have stayed in a while. The bathrooms were mixed and could have been cleaned. When I went to check in, I was told I couldn’t check in because I am Australian by a girl who was not Australian. So I was being segregated against in my own country? That reunited my experience as a whole. Would’ve probably liked the facilitates if the staff were friendly. But staff really determine how much you like a hostel or not.

Very basic. Not clean or comfortable which is all I really look for. Very cramped. Would not recommend.

The staff are awesome and very nice but in general, bathrooms are so old and dirty. Rooms were so so hot to sleep at night. People were sleeping at the common room at some point due to the heat in the rooms.

Good hostel for one night transfer in Brisbane

Good social atmosphere although not too suitable for solo travelers as there are many longtermers. Bathrooms are unisex but every shower/toilet is in its own cabin. Kitchen is spacious and mostly clean but because the kitchen is outside under a roof it was sometimes hard to cook proberly on the stove. Room was way too small for 14 people and had no air conditioning. Instead we had 8 fans in the room blasting warm air around so no fresh air and room was constantly very hot and stuffy.

There's no air conditioning; the room is like a sauna.

Good hostel with lot of equipments (gym area, big open kitchen, movie area, laundry, ping-pong table….)

Staff waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider hat das Hostel keine AC und es war super heiss und schwül. Es gab (laute) Ventilatoren, auch im Zimmer. Das Schlafen war daher eher schwierig in den heissen, stickigen und lauten Rümlichkeiten. Die Atmosphäre an sich war cool. Die Küche wurde von den Nutzer:innen nicht gut aufgeräumt. Ich bin froh, dass ich dort nicht kochen musste.

good for 2 nights

Auberge correcte pour une nuit pas plus. Gros dortoir très bordélique avec très peu de rangement, il y faisait vraiment chaud, et en plus les sanitaires/douches étaient peu nombreux et pas les plus cleans... Ça dépanne pour une nuit mais je n'y passerais pas toutes mes vacances.

I stayed extra!!

This is a great backpackers with a good environment, and really lovely staff that go above and beyond. There was onsite parking available for $10 so special thanks to the staff for being accomodating and helpful with that. They also let me store my bag overnight when I was away for 1 night before returning for no extra charge. The location is also fantastic. The only reason I took off 1 star is because the room’s aren’t A/ced (only one dorm has this). This is wild for Brisbane :( Please fix!

The staff were accommodating of late checkin and it was a really smooth process but the dorm room was really small and cluttered for the amount of people in there.

Lovely staff who gave us an ice lolly on arrival. Flies all over the kitchen, because it’s open plan. There are fans in the room but I unfortunately had the one bed where none of the fans were pointed to, so it was so warm. The showers are clean but are very claustrophobic.

Staff are quite nice, but wouldn’t recommend staying in summer. Heat is pretty unbearable in the rooms

Pretty cool Hostel. Stayed there twice and was really happy. They have really great common rooms.

Amazing hostel! Spacious common area to relax and meet new people, with plenty of fans. The staff are all very friendly, smiling, and always ready to help if you need any information or assistance. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the CBD and 5 minutes to Coles. Great value for money in Brisbane — highly recommended!

What was meant to be a few days quickly turned into weeks, then months. The hostel has a warm, homely feel, and if you’re missing family or friends while travelling, you’ll likely find something familiar here. The mix of people from different countries and age groups makes the experience truly unique. The staff are incredible and couldn’t do enough to help you.
