La casa de Barro Patagonia

A friend and I stayed there for 2 nights and chose to move hostels. The cleanliness is pretty bad, there were black bugs crawling all over the hostel, in the kitchen, bathroom, dorms and common area. The don’t provide you with a blanket, just a sleeping bag which we didn’t feel were very clean. The kitchen was always a mess and had the same dirty pots sitting on the stove our entire stay. The guy who was working reception was friendly enough. Would not recommend, especially for the price.

One of the worst hostels I’ve been to - no heating - no real beds with sheets - instead they just give you a sleeping bag - showers not hot - luke warm at best - terrible location far away from everything

Really nice hostel but the vibe of the place was off. Arrived at 10pm we were not allowed to cook or shower after a day of travelling…?! The staff were nice but controlling. I should be able to relax and rest at a hostel not feel like I’m walking on egg shells.

Another hostel in puerto natales, where i don’t really understand the good rating. While the staff is really nice and forthcoming and bathrooms are clean and cleaned twice a day. Kitchen and the dorm weren’t so great. Especially the bed where you don’t get any linens, just two blankets, one is a sleeping bag, that don’t really look like they are clean all that often. Mattresses were also pretty uncomfortable and there were no lockers available

the common area has a cozy feel and the hostel is in a cool location off the beaten path, but the rooms are extremely crammed (12 beds in one room) and the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. i could feel each spring in my back all night. the showers also ran out of hot water in under a minute, and were never the cleanest. nothing about this hostel was that bad, but considering it was one of the pricier ones i stayed at, i was a bit disappointed.

Good hostel to rent stuff before the W trek. The staff were lovely - big shout out to Alex who was a very big help to us. However, the showers and toilets were very dirty and just subpar really. We think there may have been bed bugs in the bed / on the blankets/ sleeping bags they give you to sleep in. Would not recommend, much better hostels to stay in in the area - also far away from the centre of Puerto Natales.

Sehr gemütlicher Gemeinschaftsraum und tolle Küche und Garten. Im Schlafsaal hab ich mich ein bisschen wie in einer Höhle gefühlt..

A good place for a short stay. The beds had a privacy curtain and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. There were no lockers though but this didn’t turn out to be a problem. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Generell in Ordnung und zu empfehlen jedoch ist die Lage etwas unpraktisch. Ein Nachteil leider keine abschließbaren Schränke. Mein Laptop konnte ich jedoch für ein Tag an der Rezeption abgeben. Ansonsten ist es eine tolle Atmosphäre und für den Preis in Patagonien super.

Personnel agréable et disponible, espace chaleureux et accueillant ! Seul bémol : la propriété. les dortoirs et les lits sont impec' par contre la cuisine (et parfois les douches) cedt pas trop ça : vaisselle sale qui traîne parfois plusieurs jours, nourriture fraiche qui traine, cadavres de bières... Manque d'ustensiles de cuisine. Et eau chaude vite épuisée (vaisselle +douches) j'ai pris deux deux douche quasi froides sur 3 jours.

the hostel itself is super lovely! kitchen was always kept clean and well equipped :) everyone was pretty chill, it was a lot of people focused on hiking! would recommend this stay to other backpackers!! the downsides were pretty minor: rooms are a little small, it’s a 20 minute walk into town (if that bothers you) and the showers were pretty cold.

Super hostel Tres apaisant

Loved it here! Common area is SO cozy. Of all the hostels I’ve stayed at in South America I think this one is most deserving of a better review. The place is so cute and cozy. Just perfect for resting after a day in the cold. The layout of the place makes it great for meeting friends.

Lovely hostel with really friendly people. Spacious, comfy, and cool architecture. Only problem was that it was really far from the city center so getting food takes a decent walk

One of my fav hostel, the staff makes u feel like home, its reallly pretty outside super nature vibes, short walk from station like 15 minutes but i walked here late and night and it was super safe .

!Lo pasé genial! Todos fueron muy amables conmigo, me enseñaron a escalar e hicieron una fogata donde tocamos guitarra. Mauri y Mati son muy buenos músicos! Además, todo limpio, cómodo y mi saco de dormir olía muy bien. Lo recomiendo totalmente, ojalá pueda volver algún día.

Une auberge atypique où la musique est omniprésente et les esprits artistes peuvent s'exprimer. Parfait endroit pour préparer son trek a Torres del Paine (grands espaces pour faire et défaire son sac). Le lieu est très beau, propre, le personnel sympa. Le seul défaut est qu'il y fait un peu froid.

Everyone is super nice and I really love this place. And I will love to visit there every time I visit Puerto Natales. Everything was fantastic, but my one point of criticism is that every single chair and couch there looks and feels like it was built for torture. The staff were all amazingly friendly, the location is quiet and out of the way, and I really do love that place (but not the chairs). :)

Great hostel. Nice staff and atmosphere. Quite outside of the town but it’s a nice calm area of the town. Only things I didn’t like was that there are no lockers and the cleanliness of the dorms could be improved as there were some bugs. Otherwise all perfect.

Lovely getaway from town yet still walkable. Worth the walk from the bus station!! Felt secure. Kind people. Sweet dogs. Bathrooms regularly cleaned. Relaxing overall. Would stay there again for a few nights. Downsides: one big bath/shower room for all guests, furniture isn’t comfortable for lounging, music over the speakers all day while it wasn’t quiet hours, kitchen was unkempt

Really great stay in La casa de barro. Perfect for a few days in puerto natales. Chill vibes, the hosts are really nice and helpful and fun. I recommend !!

Ambiance géniale et tranquille à la fois, très facile de rencontrer d'autres voyageurs solo. Pas en plein centre ville mais ce n'était pas un problème, très safe de marcher. Supers conseils pour faire le W trek sans réservations, j'ai loué une tente c'était parfait et même prix qu'au centre ville.Pas de lockers mais ça n'irait pas avec la vibe :) Staff adorable !
