Hostel Pachamama San Juan Del Sur

Worst hostel ive ever stayed at. The location is good and the guy working at reception is nice. However, thats it. Wifi did not work at all. The facilities were very bad. There were two showers in the room. However, only one was working. The curtains in the beds didnt work due to the amount of breaze in the night. There are windows in the room that are constantly open, which make it so noicy at night that we could barely sleep. The hostel was also weirdly stricht and the overall vibe was weird.

Just in need of a thorough clean. Towels need to be renewed, showers are cold. paid for a private room, shower needs a good scrub down and de-mould. One fan in the room barely works, and the noise from the outside street comes straight in. Very uncomfortable sleeps

But if a rip off. The Sunday funday tour was too expensive and we didn’t get anything that was promised, paid to go to other hostels, nothing else. The staff were useless, drinks at the bar were super weak. The rooms were dirty, no power plugs at all and curtains didn’t help at all for sleeping. Breakfast was not worth it and the whole place is ridden with flies. Would never recommend this hostel

There was a beer pong game organized by the hostel, and a staff member kept watching me play, insisting that I had to drink or I wouldn’t be allowed to continue. I decided to take myself out of the game because no one should be forced to drink. It’s extremely socially excluding when you're not allowed to be part of the activities unless you're drinking. And very problematic that the staff member is forcing people to drink and get drunk.

I’m not someone who looks for a lot of comfort but this was hardcore the showers the beds … the ambiance is nice though :)

Booked 3 nights and left early. I was in the large dorm which has no privacy, the windows stay open so you can hear street noise all night and the bunks are so cheap you feel the other person turn over. Black mould on the ceiling. Sucked it up for sunday funday which was a mistake, the drunker the people were the more disgusting it got. Used condom and dirty tampon on the floor in the morning. I complained and was not offered a refund, got the feeling they get this feedback all the time. FERAL

Do not stay here! 10 bed dorm- very windy in the night and the shutter window glass smashed over myself and my bed and staff members were unfazed- said it happens all the time! Volunteer staff members use private dorms balcony to smoke weed in the evenings/night. Items went missing even when all dorm members were out as a group. Uncontactable manager to speak to. Not worth staying for the Sunday funday ticket discount, lots of better hostels nearby!

Ich hatte einen unfall und war auf hilfe angewiesen. Ich bekam für meinen fuss den ich nicht mehr belasten konnte kein eis, jedoch für die getränke die sie verkauften hatten sie welches. sie hulfen mir nicht mit dem rucksack tragen, schauten mich nur doof an. Als alleinreisende fühlte ich mich vom personal richtig verarscht. Das zimmer war jedoch gross und schön. Auch lage gut gelegen. Personal ist jedoch schrecklich. Für mich die schlimmste unterkunft in den ganzen 5 wochen.

The rooms are extremely hot, minimal bathrooms and very dirty.

Overall we had an okay stay at Pachamama. We attended the sunday funday which was fun and it was practical to be able to get to your room if you needed to change etc. The room we had (6-dorm) however was really cramped, there were no curtains and it was always really really Hot (despite fans). The on-suite bathroom was always disgusting, the floor always wet and we were unlucky as the water just stopped working at some point (including the toilet flush..). I stayed in a 4 bed dorm with a private bathroom. This is a pretty standard party hostel. The main reason for me staying here is because it is the 1st venue for Sunday Funday. Breakfast is included which is nice. Hostel is pretty social. I met a lot of cool people here. Only things I would say are negatives is that they can definitely improve in the cleanliness of the rooms. Also some rooms have ACs but you have to pay $10 USD per 12 hours to use them. Seems like a bizarre arbitrary amount.

Pachamama, very Social Party Hostel, curtains, kitchen, Games, Pool, close to Beach and Center, comfy beds, its where the Sunday funday Starts

had a good time there, got a free upgrade to a 4bed-dorm with bathroom. sunday funday was great and yoj get a good discount for the tickets if yoj stay at pachamama

El mejor hostel de todo San juan del Sur!

Good hostel for parties, if you wanna chill it’s not the best option. Cleanliness is a bit poor, I would a little more but for party hostel it was okay comparing to the other party hostels I’ve stayed

Party hostel but not a cool social vibe here.

Overall pretty nice place but what ruined it was the bar about a block away. They were BLASTING music 7 days a week from 11-5 the windows at the hostel are quite thin. Good luck getting any sleep before 5am lol. Too bad that one bar honestly ruins SJDS with the noise (empty most of the time too)

Stayed there because of Sunday Funday. Great atmosphere , Professional security for safety , dorms clean but no AC. Quite warm in the dorm. Almost no water pressure in the shower and toilet which was sometimes annoying.

Wonderful staff - always wanted to help you out!! They helped us with money troubles and organised everything for us, and really really helped us out when we were in a crisis🤣 SF was super fun and well organised
