Ik verbleef in de 10-beds. De kamer rook enorm muf, bedden waren zeer oncomfortabel en kraakte bij elke kleine beweging die je maakte, badkamer rook erg onaangenaam en er brak van alles af, douchestraal kwam met 3 druppels tegelijkertijd eruit en was ook nog koud, alle deuren kraken echt super erg dus snachts stil binnenkomen of de badkamer gebruiken is onmogelijk. De kamer wordt heel slecht onderhouden en schoongemaakt.
The rooms were extremely uncomfortable and cracked with every little movement you made, the bathroom was very unpleasant and there was a break from everything, the shower came with 3 drops at the same time and it was also still cold, all the doors were really super cracked so snacks still inside or the bathroom is impossible to use.
There were multiple power cuts throughout the day and all night, meaning we had no air con or fans so the rooms became extremely hot and unbearable. We were forced to sleep outside to escape the heat on the second night this happened in a row. There was no running water overnight or in the morning during power cuts. We ended up having to move hostels because it was impossible to sleep.Staff were very nice and apologetic but this cannot be advertised as a room with air con as this is not the case

So far out from everything , there’s no outlet by the beds , tiny sheet to sleep with , only bottom bunks have curtains , tons of bugs, ants in the room. Have to pay for towels. Toilets are always blocked and showers were really dirty and only 1 sink for the entire hostel, don’t really know how it has such high reviews. Only good thing was free toast in morning and Rita was lovely but would not stay again
They advertise as having AC but the truth is they turn it off most of the day and it’s only on overnight. That means the hottest parts of the day you are simply roasting and there is nowhere to get any respite from the heat. It made my heat rash so bad I ended up in hospital and had to check out early to leave the island. Wish they’d been upfront about this so I could not book. There’s also no atmosphere or social scene. Small hostel close to paliton beach. Quite far from any restaurants and can’t get a tuk tuk from here so definitely need a bike. The rooms are basic but very clean. The free breakfast was a bit disappointing. Only cold toast and jam. Some more comfy seating in the cafe would be good. No towels included. You can rent one for 25 pesos
I am surprised about rating. during the rain you cannot be at the common area - the roof leaks everywhere. and there is no wifi anywhere else, so I got stuck trying to watch a movie and almost got my laptop destroyed. and they take your passport at checking, without pointing it to you, I almost lost my ferry and the following flights because found out already at the town that I didn't have it with me. too few bathrooms. no curtains, loud beds. the 'breakfast is literally a piece of bread.
Overpriced for what it is.Rundown rooms with musty smell, shower stops mid showering, both toilet seats broken and they dig into your skin everytime (when suggested to fix them, was told they will be fixed for high season! Then should you close in low season since the guests don't matter as much? At least fix one!), toilets don't flush half the times, no first aid kit or attempt to get one when needed, wifi is really bad(they blame it on the island but you can in fact find better wifi elsewhere)

Would be a decent hostel overall. Unfortunatelly, there were several power cuts, water shortages and there was no wifi for 80% of our stay. I know thats certainly not the hostels fault but still something you need to expect/deal with when staying there.
Not much of an atmosphere. Location wasn’t ideal if you don’t drive a moped. Bit of a faff getting around. Only plus was being close to Paliton beach. Staff were friendly though and showers/toilets were kept clean. Dorm room only had two plugs between eight and room also had ants so wouldn’t stay there again.

The rooms & bathrooms were clean, so close to the beach!!!! Nice chill vibes in the hostel. I loved the breakfast every morning & the staff are so amazing, so lovely and welcoming and really helpful!!!

Sasa and Rose are excellent 🌞🦋 The motorbike rental at the hostel was efficient and cheap and I could explore the island freely 🐠 The location is so close to paliton beach. They offer free breakfast and it’s a nice atmosphere.
I stayed at Love Shack for 7 nights, extending my stay because of the amazing experience! The receptionists were incredibly friendly, making me feel warm and welcome from the start. The hostel has a sociable vibe, with fun karaoke nights that bring everyone together. The kitchen was a bonus, and the internet was reliable. Though the water pressure could improve, I appreciated the clean facilities and privacy curtains. If you want a cozy place to lounge, Love Shack!!!
Schön aufgebautes Hostel mit freundlichem Personal und sehr einfachem Scooterverleih. Einen Abend gab es Family Dinner + Karaoke, ansonsten hätte die Atmosphäre (v.a. in der Lobby) etwas sozialer sein können. WLAN leider nur in der Lobby.

Le petit déjeuner est inclus et il est simple, mais convient parfaitement. Le personnel est gentil et aidant. Tu peux louer un scooter sur place. L’hostel est un peu plus loin il faut donc avoir un scooter. Les dortoirs sont propres.
Breakfast is included and it is simple but fits perfectly. the staff is kind and helpful. you can rent a scooter on site. the hostel is a little further away so you must have a scooter. the dorms are clean.
Nice location close to the beach and not too far from San Juan. Motorcycle rental was very good
Best hostel ever!! The staff are so lovely and helpful. We got stuck during the typhoon and had the best time. Such a good quiet location away from the main road and 5 mins walks from the nicest beach. 10/10 recommend
Rita was an amazing host, more of an chill hostel, but very kind and good atmosphere. Not too social though.

Staff were amazing. Great location and air conditioning was good too. Toilets and showers were outside which i had no problem with.
It’s not the fanciest hostel but has everything you need. It’s clean, and located near the most beautiful beach of the island. +++ the staff is just the nicest
We had a good stay in the hostel. The girls at reception are amazing, so nice and helpful. Also it’s clean and easy to meet other travelers.
Staff was excellent big shout out to Sassa for making our stay! Close to the beach, free toast and coffee breakfast, bed was pretty comfortable. Only thing is it says in hostel world they have laundry facility and they do not but besides that a solid place to stay.
