The rooms were not clean. There were lots of little hairs in the beds and table; in our room specifically, there were multiple bugs in the beds. We showed these to the front desk manager, of which he took a picture and shared with the hotel management, so they are aware of this issue. We left the room and did not stay there. I was provided with a partial refund, which I believe should have been a full refund considering we didn’t sleep there.

The only good thing about this hostel is the location. The staff is okay and tried to help in my situation. I found bed bugs in my bed. I saw the cleaning staff only change the sheets on the bed and not treat it with anything. They asked me if I wanted so sleep in that bed again or if I want to be moved to another room. Once I was in the new room and checked the bed, I was pretty sure I saw another bug. Staff and the cleaner said it’s nothing. So not sure if it was anything. Bathrooms also dirty

This is my second stay at this hostel. The first time was fine, which is why I returned. During this trip, I spent the first three days in Room 87, and everything was okay. However, after I extended my stay, I was moved to Room 78, and that is where my nightmare began. I woke up covered in bed bug bites all over my body. The bed, located next to the toilet, was clearly infested. When I reported this, the staff showed zero empathy. They tried to gaslight me, claiming it was an "allergy" or "insects from a park," which is a lie. I have no history of allergies. I am currently awaiting urgent results from my oncologist, and this physical and emotional trauma was the last thing I needed. Instead of helping, they forced me into a long "investigation" that made me miss my bus, resulting in a lost ticket and a nervous breakdown at the station. To prevent spreading the infestation, I had to wash all my clothes at 90°C, which ruined my expensive belongings (Zara jacket, premium thermal wear, and hats). The management refused any compensation for my medical bills or ruined property. They simply changed the sheets in an infested room and expected me to stay there. AVOID THIS PLACE if you value your health and safety. They do not take responsibility for their sanitary conditions.

BEDBUGS !! Doesent even deserve the 1 star. This was really a traumatic experience, the room was small and smelly. Handprints all over the walls, the shower water was either cold or boiling hot. We found BEDBUGS all over and have to freeze and boil all of our stuff. DO NOT RECOMEND what so ever. -1 star from me. ⚠️⚠️⚠️‼️‼️

BEDBUGS!! Don’t book this hostel unless you want to bring home bedbugs! 🆘 Horrible beds, handprints all over the walls, the shower was the smallest I’ve ever seen, and everything smelled like mold. The rooms were just horribly dirty. Would not recommend for even a second!

This place is absolutely DISGUSTING. mouldy showers, everything smells damp, the vents look like they have never been cleaned, and BED BUGS in some of the beds. The manager also kept checking more people in while we reported this before making sure the rooms were cleaned.

There are bed bugs on the beds. The staff were rude when issues brought up about them and have nothing better to do than watch the CCTV and also videos on their phone instead of tidying or seeing if guests need anything. They tried to overcharge with a £10 deposit to us when we checked out of room but stayed in common area like any other accommodation where people do to this. Watch out the prices should be much lower for a bed that smells shared with 10 other people. Cleaning service includes bedding, we are the customer, we do not change the bedding for you. Do not recommend

Bed bugs. Lots and lots of bed bugs. Super hot rooms with ac that didn't work. Ac outlet was filthy with dirt. Rooms were wlays smelly and linen suplied as only 2 flat sheets, giving the inpression the duvets are rarely washed. Was able to walk in the front door most of the time without using suplied key card. Staff were non chalont throughout and asleep when we checked out. Hostel world should not offer this place to their customers.

I got bed bugs! I had bites all over my stomach and arms when I left! I think this is a problem in the UK in general, because my roommate went to Bristol two weeks ago and got bed bugs in her hostel too. Besides that, the staff were nice and helpful, the shared bathroom in my 12 bed mixed dorm was clean and there were enough stalls/sinks, being right next to the tube station and Paddington station was extremely helpful, and I even lost one airpod and the cleaning team found it and turned it in to the front

I'm pretty positive I was bitten by bed bugs in the hostel after going through a medical examination. Since I came back home after staying in the hostel, the bites stopped showing up. So I really believe there were bed bugs in my bed in the hostel. Overall, the hostel is pretty average. The location is good, but the infrastructure is not the best. I think they fit way too many beds in just one room which can cause discomfort. The bathroom in the room is really tiny and the bathroom outside is not better and the one I used had cracks in the ceiling.

The first night upon arrival I was woken up by some itching sensation on my hands and arms. When switching the light on, I saw a small bug on my top. Which was immediately obvious to me it was a bed bug, given also the itchy bites on my arms! Shocked, I run down to the reception and reported it to the Night Shift, showing him the bites. The guy was friendly and gave me immediately another room! Telling me to speak to his manager in the morning. Tired from traveling from Germany during the day and knowing I had to work the next day, I had no choice but to pack up my suitcase at 2am at night and move the rooms. When returned to the room to pack up, I saw an even bigger bed bug (like a cockroach) on the sheets! It was terrifying and disgusting at the same time. I filmed the bug, for evidence to show. In the morning I confronted the manager! He didn’t even bother to apologize! He kept asking me questions and turning my sentences around, questioning the truth of my experience, making it sound like I was the one to blame. He called his male assistant to inspect the bed! This assistant was as rude as the manager, questioning even the evidence Video, he immediately said my choice is to leave the hostel! Indirectly threatening me to be thrown out! The two were super intimidating, telling that there were no bed bugs complains before. Eventhough another member of staff mentioned some cases before! I felt very unsafe in their presence, being a female, traveling alone! Their ruined my day and I felt very uncomfortable during the entire stay, but I had no choice or time to search for another place to stay as I was there just for few days for work! Their behavior may be also the result of their cultural upbringing, which seems to be some religious patriarchy, with no respect for a woman! Their behavior should be paid attention to! It is a disgrace!

I stayed here for 4 days and shared a 9 person room with my group. The place is very affordable but you're only paying for the location, which is about the only thing in the hostel worth your money. The room had mold in the bathroom door and probably under the wall-to-wall carpet as well since me and many of my other groupmates woke up with a sore throat and a blocked nose in the morning. Because of that, we had to sleep with the window open despite the cold November weather. You either freeze or end up getting asthma (I hope you already don't have it upon entering this place!) The room's dirtiness doesn't stop there. The small wall attached fan looks like it hasn't been wiped off dust since 2009 and it seems that cleaning behind the beds is also too difficult. There was even a used nappy behind the beds which has been there for god knows how long! (Room 83 in case a staff member is reading this). On the topic of beds, they were too short even for a rather average height male (182cm) and our tallest guy in the group had to sleep on the already limited floorspace. The luggage compartments under the bed were very loud and rattly and there weren't enough of them for all 9 people in the room. The beds were only missing bed bugs, which none of our group members luckily didn't end up bringing home as a souvenir, but judging by the other reviews on this hostel it has been a problem before. Thumbs up for getting that sorted out! After the mold infested en-suite door, you are greeted with a tight space with a barely flushing toilet that takes a good 10 minutes to fill up its tank after a flush and a shower that also needs a while to properly warm itself and you up. Should I be concerned if the bathroom appears to be cleaner than the bedroom? The breakfast was nothing too special with toast, cereal, tea and coffee to enjoy, but it was enough to last until lunchtime. The service was decent, the staff are a bit on the quieter side but they still help you should you have any issues (which was the power outlets mysteriously turning off in our case). In conclusion, the service is adequate and breakfast is alright, despite not being a full English. The rooms, however, were so horrible that even bed bugs didn't want to return there. Never again.

There were BED BUGS in this hostel. Do NOT stay there. I woke up with bite marks all over my face and body, so I checked in the mattress and found bugs! When I told the manager, he just shrugged & offered to move me to a new room. He gave me an email to contact his boss about my complaint. I emailed it several times, but have not heard back. I contacted the Smart Hyde Whatsapp number & they said 'we cannot help you.' The hostel is also filthy and cold. DO NOT STAY THERE.

Soggiorno gruppo adolescenti. Stanze piccole rispetto ai posto letto, molte senza aria condizionata. Colazione scarsa. Presenza di blatte e cimici da letto. Segnalazione fatta in direzione ma nessun intervento, i materassi con le cimici non sono stati sostituiti creando disagio tra i ragazzi che dormono in due nei letti apparentemente puliti.

It was so bad . The rooms were so small and looks nothing like it does on website, not very clean and there’s bed bugs therefore impossible to sleep during the night and to sit up all night long. We left and checked out earlier than planned and haven’t received half of the refund promised. Never again

Worst place in London. Bed is small like a cage and there’s bedbug. It’s cheap for a reason as they charge everything including a locker in the room. Horrible stairs for luggage and hygiene is terrible. Also people stuffs got stolen all the time as there’re lots of homeless live here. I won’t even consider it as a place even just for one night sleep.
