Overall great place. Great staff, location & breakfast. BUT unfortunately bed bugs. Definitely get that checked out!

Após a primeira noite, percebemos que uma das camas tinha um percevejo de cama, logo comunicamos na recepção e as roupas de cama foram trocadas. E por mais que tivesse um buffet de café da manhã, o local estava sujo e também faltava várias vezes algumas comidas.

Nous sommes revenus avec plein de piqûres de punaises de lit. Nous espérons ne pas avoir apporté ce fléau à la maison. A suivre?

Haben Bettwanzen mitgebracht aus Brüssel!!

Nos alojamos en una habitación de dos pisos para 4 personas, en planta baja se encontraba 1 puerta con regadera y lavamanos y otra puerta únicamente con 1 baño (por lo cual después de ir al baño, debías salir y entrar a la regadera para usar el lavamanos). Tuvimos varias picaduras de chinches durante la noche, el colchón estaba repleto de éstas. Se sintió sofocada la habitación y pasillos ya que no hay ventilación.

Ficamos no quarto do quinto andar e ele era muito MUITO quente, impossível de dormir em Maio. Imagine no verão.... O quarto estava infestado de pulgas e percevejos. A escada péssima, com degraus muito estreito, pessoas idosas não conseguem usá-la. Se você abrir a porta que poderia circular o ar, o quarto não tem janela, o quarto não tem privacidade nenhuma se abri-la. A limpeza do quarto foi péssima. A cozinha estava uma e sem talheres, pratos ou temperos. Não tem água filtrada disponível, somente no café da manhã. A televisão não era smartv e não pegava nenhum canal, os ajustes estavam bloqueados. A venda de refrigerantes com preço abusivo (coca cola por $3,00).

Komisch fanden wir, dass ein Teil der Zimmer mittags von 11-15 Uhr nicht betreten werden durfte und dafür die Zimmerkarten auch komplett gesperrt wurden. Eine komplette Nichtbenutzung der Zimmer über mehrere Stunden kannten wir prinzipiell so nicht. Das Frühstück könnte gesünder sein und mehr Auswahl anbieten. Das wichtigste Negativkriterium war aber, dass leider in einem Zimmer Bettwanzen entdeckt wurden. Zum Glück in der ersten Nacht noch vor dem Schlafen, aber in beiden Betten in dem Zimmer befanden sich mehrere Bettwanzen. Die anderen Zimmer haben wir danach dann auch kontrolliert, aber es befanden sich nur welche in einem der Zimmer im 5ten Stock. Logischerweise bekamen wir direkt vom Hotel ein neues Zimmer auf einer anderen Etage. Das erste Gespräch mit dem Manager war etwas anstrengend, da es schien als hätte er kein Verständnis für unsere daraus resultierenden Probleme und es wirkte so als gäbe es kein Hygieneprotokoll für solche Vorkommnisse. Zudem wurde auch gesagt, dass sowas ja einfach in Hotels in Europa häufiger vorkommen kann und dann halt einfach so ist. Nachdem die Situation aber einmal komplett durch diskutiert wurde, konnte eine Lösung gefunden werden. Unsere Sachen wurden komplett chemisch gereinigt und für die Dauer des Reinigungsprozesses konnten wir uns neue Sachen kaufen. Dies betraf hauptsächlich unsere dicken Winterjacken. Das Hotel erstattet sofort alle Kosten für die Neuanschaffungen. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass sich bei der Problemlösung im Nachhinein durchaus Mühe gegeben wurde und sich das Hotelteam auch deutlich bemühte alles vor unserer Abreise zu reinigen/regeln. Dennoch konnten wir auch im neuen Zimmer nicht wirklich gut schlafen, da wir uns durch diesen Zwischenfall verständlicher Weise einfach unwohl gefühlt haben.

Schloss der Badezimmertür defekt, sprich nicht abschließbar beim Duschen etc. Bettwanzenverdacht (4er Mehrbettzimmer) in Bettnähe nur ein USB-Port, keine "normale" Steckdose Lock-out-Zeiten (11-15 Uhr) aus dem Zimmer machen den Aufenthalt etwas unflexibel

Everything else was clean and up to my standards. But, the bed had bedbugs which I only noticed at the end of my third night. Whereupon returning back with lots of bedbug bites which were extremely itchy.

La mia esperienza nel complesso è accettabile ma non senza sottolineare gravi mancanze, fatte passare perché per lavoro in stanza ci sono andato solo per dormire. Stanza non pulita, fuliggine e capelli per terra, lenzuola non pulite e polvere diffusa su prese e ripiani vari. Niente aria condizionata per un settembre caldo a Bruxelles, c'erano ventilatori da tavolo che occupavano le già scarse prese elettriche tra cui una non funzionante, i tv non siamo riusciti ad accenderli (parliamo di camera tripla, la 512) e cosa più grave, nel pernotto di due notti, la stanza non è stata pulita, alla sera abbiamo trovato tutti uguale a quando siamo andati via (mattina presto). Colazione andabile. Personale formale ma educato. Bagno diviso in due tra sanitario 1mx1m e lavandino/doccia da un'altra parte. Esperienza nel complesso negativa. Aggiornamento recensione: dal giorno dopo mi sono ritrovato con bolle sparse su tutto il corpo, dovuto a punture di cimici da letto.

There were bed bugs or some bugs in my bed. I was left with very bad Bug bites in addition. Well, I've responded to the chain. But didn't hear bacl again. I'll copy the contents here though - You mentioned the cancellation policy. But I didn't really cancel. Just requested to modify the dates. Moreover, if I were told that it wasn't possible, I wouldn't have left the hostel. Now, I've incurred twice the cost and for no fault of my own.

The breakfast was unkept and disappointing. One of us got bed bugs and the hotel staff didn’t care and didn’t communicate to us that he got a new room and didn’t treat his clothes or suitcase. We had to do it ourselves even though they said they’d take care of it (they paid for it however). Communication amongst staff was terrible and the front desk weren’t friendly. We were disturbed at all hours by late roommates, who were inconsiderate, leaving lights on, having showers at 1 am and talking on their phones. They should have a seperate bedroom for late informers.

bed bugs. i hate it here, you can’t find a place to cool off whatsoever. it felt like i was burning in hell, especially after the bed bugs feasted on me.

I stayed there for 2 nights during early June. Average temperature outside is around 28-30 Celsius. I was in a 3 bed room. Even with the window fully open it was so hot inside and it was so hard to sleep. I've been to cheaper hostels where they hadat least a small fan. The second thing that made no sense was that if you are outside and you want to go to your room in the hours between 11am-3pm, YOU CANNOT. It makes no sense. They say it's because at this time they clean the rooms. Therefore you are locked out and you gotta wait and waste time. Lastly, i had bites from bed bugs after the first night. I didn’t realize this and thought they were only mosquito bites. The spots on my back were a lot and in clusters. I normally don't leave such reviews but it was such an awful experience for my euro trip.

Bed bugs!!! At this hostel. I stayed in room 405 and woke up with bites and also found a bed bug on my bag. I contacted the hostel about it, but they never replied, so I assume they haven't done anything to treat it. Also, I would not call this a 'youth' hostel, most of the people I saw were not young and there was not a social atmosphere at all. Would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Got to my room and saw bed bugs crawling on the pillows, they switched my room but the next day they said they would clean the clothes that were contaminated by the bedbugs and I went back hours later to get them and they hadn’t cleaned them and the receptionist was not helpful at all.

Hygiène à déplorer, il y avait un nid de punaises de lit dans le sommier, nous avons donc dû changer de chambre à 2h du matin mais le réceptionniste était très désagréable, on voyait bien que ça le dérangeait de nous changer de chambre, il n’était absolument pas professionnel!! Le petit déjeuner médiocre, je ne vous recommande pas cet hôtel!!

Very dirty, found stranger's hair in several of our beds. The blankets were fleece blankets without duvet cover. Showers were gross as well, and a friend's room was full of bed bugs. Food wasn't too good as well. You furthermore aren't allowed to go to your room from 11 am to 3 pm.

Bei unserem Aufenthalt im Hostel gefiel uns die Lage, da sie sehr zentral liegt. Das Personal ist sehr nett und auch der Eingangsbereich ist sehr gepflegt und modern eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der dritten Etage die man nur über den Aufzug erreichen kann, da die Etage über das Treppenhaus nicht zu erreichen ist, denn die Schlüsselkarten funktionierten beim Treppenhaus nicht. Als wir ins Zimmer reingekommen sind, kam uns ein muffiger Geruch entgegen. Als wir uns das Zimmer genauer anschauten, bemerkten wir einen Blutfleck an der Klinke des Bads und undefinierbare Flecken im Bett (Rote, Grüne, Braune und Weiße...), als wir an der Rezeption Bescheid gesagt haben, haben wir sofort neue Bezüge bekommen... diese waren jedoch auch fleckig aber weniger als die vorherigen. Als wir uns aber damit abgefunden hatten, erwartete uns am Morgen eine Überraschung: kleine Käfer krabbelten über die Betten (wir nehmen an Bettwanzen)... Nicht einer , nicht 2 sondern um die 20.. (die wir gesehen haben, wer weiß wo sich noch welche verstecken?) Dazu kann man sagen, das Frühstück war echt lecker, über das Abendendessen kann man nicht viel schlechtes sagen, es hat nur nicht unseren geschmack getroffen. Jedoch kann man sagen, dass die Zimmer im vierten Stock in einem sehr guten Zustand waren. Vielleicht kann man zum schluss sagen, dass die dritte Etage nicht die Empfehlenswerteste ist aber es sich in der 4ten Stock gut schlafen lässt

I stayed in a female 3-bed dormitory for 2 nights. + Good location. Good Breakfast. Clean Toilet and Bathroom - Bed bug. Bed Bug everywhere!!! I woke up and saw one of these creatures on my bed. Luckily I slept on the top bunk. But my friend who slept at the bottom (surrounded by wooden board) got bitten and now has red rashes all over her body. The floor is oily and sticky. And the room smells musty and like someone has been smoking in there. The toilet also has a bit of piss smell. Wifi sucks. The chair...eww..how long has it been there?! The blanket...really dont wanna touch it. Look really old and i'm not sure if it has ever been washed. NOT RECOMMEND BY ALL MEANS!!!

‼️BED BUGS‼️WARNING‼️ I was there in 3-bed room for 2 nights. Its smell is like wood. The floor was a bit oily and sticky. Toilet (WC separate with shower room) stinks. + Location is good, not so far from Metro station and Train Station (the north one), and also closed to shopping street. + Breakfast is quite good, (not that much varieties but i was satisfied.) + friendly staffs - overall, the hostel looks clean, but the toilet and also the room I stayed are not so clean like we saw. If yor are unlucky, you may get the room with bed bugs and stinky toilet. Have a nice day though...
