We stayed in a private room which was fine! It was expensive for what we got but we had to book last minute due to our other accommodation being cancelled. Beds were comfortable and warm. Close to station. However, one out of the three of us got bitten by something (potentially bed bugs) during the night.

Worst hostel I’ve stayed at. The kitchen had no utensils and only one pan. The kitchen was filthy dirty, unwashed pots that appeared to be days old, dirt and mess everywhere and smelt terrible both nights I stayed here. The first night I stayed here one lady had to move rooms because her bed had bed bugs. The second night I stayed here a lady had checked out of her room and staff had not come to clean her bed or remove the used bed linen before more people checked into the room at 6pm.

For the price, this hostel could have been fine - but I got bitten by bed bugs! My legs are covered in bites, and no, it’s not mosquitoes. It’s definitely bed bugs, and I’m allergic to them. It’s disgusting and horrible. Also, who thought it was a good idea to use fitted sheets in a hostel? Imagine arriving at midnight, your bed is on the top bunk, and you have to fight with that stupid elastic sheet in the dark. Seriously, what kind of sadism is that? Overall, a very unpleasant experience. I’ve stayed in many cheap hostels around the world, but this one is by far the worst.

it wasn't comfortable neither clean as I found bed bug on my pillow plus the shower cabin was full of hair . The location was not bad takes 45min approximately to reach the center . I would book it again in case of necessity .

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The place is riddled with bedbugs!!!!! I woke up in the morning with dozens of bites and the staff did NOTHING I ended up having to wash and dry everything in their laundry which didn't work. I walked to the train station in my damp clothes and checked into a hotel after one night. IT'S NOT WORTH IT PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF!!!

I chose this hostel because of its location and the promised parking (but unfortunately the stay was a complete disappointment). The parking was not available. The description says that you have to reserve it in advance, but there was no information on how to do that. My message via Booking was never answered. In the end, I had to park 1.5 km away in another garage and walk to the hostel with my luggage. When we arrived in the room, the shower was completely clogged. We had to clean the drain ourselves, and dirt and hair came out. The walls were scratched and damaged, and the beds were not even made. For a 2-star hostel, this is unacceptable. The so-called “4-bed room” was also very disappointing. All photos show four chairs at the table, but in reality there were only two stools. Two of us had to eat on the beds, and there would not have been space for more chairs anyway. The room was extremely small and cramped – calling it a 4-bed room is clearly misleading. In the tiny bathroom, the shelf could barely hold four toothbrushes, nothing more. The check-in system via machines is confusing and unfriendly. There is no normal check-in or check-out. For extras such as breakfast or parking you still have to queue at the reception, which makes the whole process contradictory. Staff were present, but completely useless: no cleaning, no proper assistance, no service. And the worst part: we were bitten by bedbugs in the room. This is absolutely unacceptable and a very serious hygiene problem. I have stayed in many hostels before, but I have never experienced such a low standard. It was especially disappointing because I was traveling with my grandmother, who was abroad for the first time. This hostel only cares about profit, not about its guests.

Overall a very average hostel. Generally rooms were clean and contrary to other reviews n posing of bed bugs. There was a lot of mould in the bathroom, but other than that overall very clean. Beds weren’t numbered so it was often unclear which were occupied. Self check in screens available so no staff interaction required. Rooms weren’t very safe, small lockers and lots of people coming and going from room that weren’t staying, as well as a number of people coming into the room late at night.

I have previously stayed with this hotel chain and had good experiences, but my stay in Vienna was very disappointing. My room (148) was infested with bedbugs, which I documented with photos and video. It was also not properly cleaned. Due to the bedbugs, we were unable to sleep during the night. The overall quality of service did not meet the expected standard. I strongly recommend that management address the cleanliness and pest control issues.

Do not stay here. We had a terrible experience in this hostel. On our first morning we woke up to find blood in our beds only to then discover we had bed bugs. The man at reception offered to move us to a different room however we chose to find somewhere else to stay and were told we would receive a full refund for the two nights we had booked. However when we contacted the support team about the refund this was not the case. They refused to give us a refund for the first night we stayed despite what we wer

I am confused. My stay was not so bad but I would say that as a solo traveller you are not in your place there. You have to make your bed and the rooms are not clean. Young people shouting and running around all night long. Staff is unpleasant. They might have bedbugs. (Still not sure)

The rooms are extremely hot with no AC making it impossible to sleep comfortably, the bunk beds ladders are a safety hazard (they’re impossible to get up and down), the guest kitchen is cramped and dirty, the luggage room is accessible by everyone so no point in keeping your luggage there if you want to keep your stuff safe, the bar has several different prices for the same item making it extremely confusing as to what price one item is. They also have bed bugs.

You have to make your bed, which can be difficult if you’re checking in at night and you don’t want to wake up the other guests in the room. The worst thing is that I got multiple rashes overnight; not sure if it was bed bugs or something caused an allergic reaction.

I stayed at the a&o hostel from September 2024, and sadly, my experience was far from pleasant. My bed was infested with bedbugs, which left me with numerous bites all over my body, causing severe discomfort throughout my stay. I’ve attached photos to highlight the extent of the issue. On top of the bites, I was worried that the bedbugs may have infested my clothing, forcing me to wash all my garments at a high temperature (60°C), potentially damaging some of them. This added even more frustration to an already unpleasant situation. I had no choice but to check out early and find alternative accommodation. Despite paying for the full stay, the hostel only compensated me for one of the two nights I stayed. The purchased medicine to manage the itching and discomfort from the bites, which was another unexpected expense was also covered by them. Overall, my stay was incredibly disappointing due to these circumstances. I believe better compensation and preventive measures should have been provided to address the bedbug issue and its impacts on my health and belongings.

Our room was invaded by hundreds of small and large bedbugs. Our clothes traveled on our beds. When we told this to the reception they said that some rooms had this problem and that it was our bad luck. They didn't give us a new room. We waited in the lobby until morning. We were not allowed to use the washing machine without excuse. The male receptionist treated us very badly. They didn’t give back my money. Such a hostel should not be allowed on this site.

Horrible hostel this! First night I woke up and saw a lot of bed bugs in my bed and room. I went straight to the reception and didn't even get an apology from them. I washed all night and then left the hostel. They promised me that I would get the money back. Unfortunately I never got my money back after reporting it two more times. I never got a response to this. They also refused to pay the laundry costs for me, while I washed it in their hostel itself. Horrible hostel and super unfriendly!

Worst hostel ever. Upon arrival we queued to learn our room wasn’t ready, we waited a further 40 mins, then there was a man in our female only dorm so we were moved rooms to a second room which was was severely bed bug infested, then we were moved rooms again to another room which hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests. At no point did we receive a single apology from the staff. They were useless and do not care. Don’t stay here.

This was my last night in Vienna. I stayed only one night in this hostel and my bed had bed bugs, so I couldn´t hardly sleep. There is a lot of noise at the entrance, people having an argument and shouting really loud. Therefore I don´ ´t recommend this place.

BEDBUGS! Got bites all over my arm and side. The cheap price and location also draws the worst hostelgoers, one arriving in the middle of the night kept the lights on for half an hour, another one who came after that probably lives there guessing by the amount of trash around his bed and kept making weird noises throughout the night. So in summary - wasnt able to sleep and got bedbugs. Avoid this hostel at all cost!

We couldn’t sleep because I got beaten by bedbugs early in the night so we had to change rooms. I was able to take video of bedbugs in my pillow so I’m sure it wasn’t another animal. After changing rooms we had to wash every piece of clothing and we had to wake up every hour to check the laundry to check on the clothes. Some of the personal was very rude and the hostel didn’t wanted to reimburse us for a terrible night. staying here is not worth the price. RUN!!!

I stayed here for an overnight stop on my travel. To be honest I expected better from a chained hostel. Felt like the bed was riddled with bed bugs, some of the people in the room wasn’t the friendliest, children running and screaming up and down the corridors of the building like it was a McDonald’s play area. Beds are uncomfortable and no storage in the rooms. You walk around the rest of the building there’s rubbish everywhere like it hasn’t been cleaned in some areas for weeks.

First room had bed bugs and we got a change to other room and that was fine but quite dirty from the floors. The guest kitchen was full or old food and dirty dishes and filthy smell. The kitchen didn't have proper cooking equipments. Hostel was full of noisy school groups. It's located next to the train station but quite far from the city centre.

The hostel was nice and basic however, there was bedbugs in our room and we got pretty serious rashes. We where staying there for to nights and this appeared when we woke up the last day. When we told them in the reception, the only things we was offered, was a beer or a coffee from the bar. Furthermore, when we left the hostel after the first night, we saw the housekeeping cleaning the rooms however, when we came back, the room wasn't cleaned. They just put a 'do not disturb sign' on the door.
